Ridgeway Inn - Blowing Rock

Ridgeway Inn is a cozy hotel and in a great location for exploring the town of Blowing Rock. I liked that the rooms didn't feel outdated—they were clearly going for mountain cottage vibes, but the place was clean and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and parking onsite was easy.

A loud group of guests sat in the outdoor patio space at night, which happened to be right by the door to our room. Insulation isn't great, so we heard every word of their conversation. I would appreciate the management to put a sign out regarding quiet hours, since staff is not onsite after 8:00pm.

I loved the coziness of the room . . . the jet bathtub . . . the location of our room, near the garden. I liked the location to the restaurants and shops. I loved the Christmas ornaments on the trees outside and the outside porch and sitting area. I liked the swinging benches. I bet it is beautiful in the summer when the garden is in bloom. We plan to go back at that time. We were there in late November.

The drapes were not a good thing but not a big deal. The golf motif was not our style but again, not a big deal. The bathroom ceiling above the bidet had a hole in it but we did see that the bidet water if turned on high does hit that area. Looked like a lot of people made that same mistake we did and it hits that spot. I think a sign in the bathroom warning guests to turn the water on the bidet very slowly and low would eliminate that problem. The ceiling still does need to be fixed though.

Lovely room, especially the ceiling and trim work. Also really like the hard floors instead of carpet and all the shelf space in the shower. Bedding was very comfy. And of course, staff was great, very friendly and professional.

Bathroom sink was slow to drain. Not bad, but was going to tell clerk at checkout. We waited until 8:05 but office still wasn't open.

Location was awesome! We could walk to eat, to get coffee, to shop, etc. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was upgraded. It was nice having a fridge and microwave in the room, as well. I would definitely stay at this location again.

This may sound picky, but the towels and washcloths were not as soft as I usually have in hotels. There was also dust on top of the light fixtures, the lamp, and the headboard of the bed. Maybe the housekeeping staff has been cutting some corners.

Like the location in reference to town. Bed was amazingly comfortable. The young lady at the front desk on Wednesday was great and friendly. We had to cut out trip one day short and she helped us get a one day refund. She went above and beyond for us and we truly appreciate that kind of attention. We will be staying there the next time we go to Blowing Rock.

The absolute only thing that was a little bad was the WiFi tv reception. It much of a bother as your not supposed to spend your time indoors anyway on vacation.

Very charming cottage complex with wonderful and romantic environment. Loved the old-fashioned heater. My 6 year old son loved it too.

Limited parking. Very steep winding road to get to the inn from Sugar Mountain. It may have been in the instructions and I may have not read it but it would help to let travelers know to take the big road if they don't feel comfortable going up the steep and narrow mountain roads.

The air, because of its location was refreshing. I got to the hotel late but I found my keys where the hotel person said it would be. The next morning the person was helpful when I was checking out. I would go there again.

No breakfast because of the lack of personnel. Getting to the hotel was difficult because of its location. Getting lost was easy at night for me.

The inn is in a great location. You can walk anywhere around downtown Blowing Rock. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.

The inn is very quaint, a little bit on the older side, but still a good place to stay for a couple of nights - very clean.

Got no breakfast? The room was very quaint,clean, and cozy. The bed was horrible! We both woke up with back aches. The location was very good and the young man who checked us in was excellent.

The bed was awful… all the rest was very good!

the mattress was terrible, it shook like a waterbed whenever you’d turn over. it was a little pricey for its age. The reservation offices was closed and we had to wait for someone to drive there so we could get our keys.
