Village Inn - Blowing Rock

Great location, walked right next door to twigs restaurant and sat at the bar and had a great dinner with fabulous drinks- our 2 small dogs who are created did very well - loved kurig coffee maker and mini fridge in sitting room

Room furniture too large for the space - sitting room should have two small upright chairs and small bistro size coffee table so that one can make coffee easier - instead of oversized enormous chair with matching enormous ottoman - all dogs should be required to be kept in keeps/ create because we did have an anxiety Poot dog next door that cried quite a bit

This place was a gem! We decided on a whim to go visit blowing rock and needed a pet friendly place for our German shepherd. On entering the staff was AMAZING! We were only planning to stay one night but ended up booking a second night in which we chose a cheaper room for the second night. Both rooms were clean and the beds were so comfy! We cooked out the second night on their grills and really enjoyed how quaint this place was! We will 100% stay again if we have the change

Prices were a tad high

we travel with our little 4lb Yorkie and they are very accommodating to pets. I also like that they followed up with a phone call a few hours after we settled in to make sure everything was ok. glad The bed was very comfy and the location was perfect.

They have a beautiful lodge at the office. it’s a shame they don’t have a social hour there for their guest.

This is an old fashioned, mountain motel, that is clean, comfortable, and well located for a visit to Blowing Rock. Rooms are of ample size, bath's remodeled recently. Large flat screen TV with decent channel selection. Friendly staff. Warm greeting on arrival. Easy check out. Pet fee is $25 a night.

Entrance to parking is not as clearly marked as it could be. Getting in an out is a bit touchy because of the new US 321 design. Not the hotel' fault.

Very close to town. The villa we had was very accommodating for my small family. The front desk persons were very accommodating in getting the fire pit lit. The propane rean out one night and they had it ready the next night. Very efficient.

I didn't use or care for the large tub. I would have liked to soak after coming in from the cold but the tub was so large I didn't want to waste the water filling in the tub.

Due to current social distancing requirements the staff did not come around. The room was exceptional. It’s the best place I have stayed at in a long time. Close to food and attractions and 10 mins from skiing. If I come to blowing rock again I will definitely stay at village inn again!

broken boards on the boardwalk. wish our room had had a little back porch. Not sure why it didn't since many rooms were empty. Room was fairly clean, except we spilled something and when we wiped it up, the floor was FILTHY.

Loved the private back porch and watching the water. Also liked the pond out front that was beautiful with benches and tables and chairs you could sit at. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room had everything we needed and was clean.

We were not unhappy with anything during our stay.

Located a short walk to downtown Blowing Rock, my room had a back deck overlooking a small rushing stream. My puppy and I could sit in the rocking chairs provided and listen to that sound for hours! My room had a mountain rustic charm that was both warm and comfortable and included a small refrigerator and microwave for convenience. The bath was a claw foot tub that allowed for luxurious soaks after a day of exploring the area. I have stayed here numerous times over the years and always loved the friendly and peaceful atmosphere. However, in the time of COVID-19 it provided the lovely escape I needed.

It's an old school motel, lobby in the middle with rooms running down either side. But the rooms and the lobby are nicely decorated so it does not feel like a motel. Also, there is a pond out front and a creek out back which add to the charm.

TV screen could be bigger - and easier to use.
