We were greeted with smiles and politeness at 10:30 pm after leaving a different hotel due to sanitary concerns. ( other hotel is not related to this one ) My fiancé and I walked in with leggings, stained cargo pants, t shirts, and dirty skate shoes but were treated the same as guests in suits and dresses. The room was extremely clean and bathroom as well. The shower had soap, shampoo, and conditioner which all smelled great. The bathroom also had mouth wash and lotion. I’m not sure if the rooms have sound deadening or guest are just very quiet but we did not hear anything throughout the night. In the morning we went to the restaurant in clean clothes of course but certainly not fancy. We were treated with nothing but respect. One of the restaurant workers even walked with my fiancé to help her find the bathroom. It seems like everyone cares about their jobs here

I loved everything about this property. This hotel smells absolutely amazing. Very clean. The ambiance was incredible. The staff were so professional, and nice. This is a place of maturity, and class, and it definitely shows. I will not be staying anywhere else in Charlotte. This place is it.

I wish they would’ve let me know that the indoor pool was being remodeled upon arrival, but it was okay. Just the experience from the hotel alone, made it up for it.

The check in part really didn’t look like the pictures.. our bathroom was nice but it had a smell during taking a hot shower. The complementary body wash and soap etc. was so hard to use and to get product out. You pay all that money for I don’t know what.

Gorgeous hotel, gorgeous pool, nice spa, Gallery restaurant was one of the best meals we had during our entire stay in Charlotte, incredibly attentive staff… pure class.

We loved the Ballantyne. I would say for the price, the poolside and spa foods could have been better. Just prepare yourself for pricey bar food. But it’s totally worth not having the leave the pool!

staff was amazing, especially Reginald and his team. Everyone was very kind and helpful!

Hot tub was broken which was a bummer for our kids. We were all looking forward to it and relaxing after a long day of walking. Also my wife and I were looking forward to a drink after the long day but the bar was closed for a private party. Just bad luck/timing on both accounts I guess.

Jasmine at the Front desk was exceptionally polished, very accommodating and efficient in customer service. Mikel and Reginald went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Afternoon tea was beautiful with the Harp and delicious. The Spa experience was relaxing and a must.

The young Concierge on my arrival insisted on telling me everything was booked for New Years and he was rude as well as abrupt. I was able to make reservations in all the places requested thorough other wonderful staff.

We really enjoyed the indoor hot tub and pools.

We didn't like that the lap pools were not operating. The snacks in the room were over priced. It should not cost $12 for a bag of M&Ms when I can drive to Wal-Mart and buy the same bag for about $2.

Good vibe. Felt luxurious. Grateful for standard noon checkout. Polite valet. Free parking.

Tub and shower were a little small (I am >6’). Couldn’t open balcony door (may be due to building code). No standard fridge ( for leftovers). A little dates (high expectations)

The outdoor pool was fantastic, with amazing attentive staff. Good gym and indoor pool area (although a bit hot for indoor pool). breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Nothing really. the only negative was a bad start as our room wasn’t ready and it was 4pm, however it was memorial weekend and very busy.

staff was helpful and friendy. Parking was convenient right outside front door.

no convenience store in hotel. Could not buy a cough drop or chewing gum or magazine, etc. It required a car ride to go to any store for anything.
