The area was beautiful. The cabins are cute and have comfy beds. I loved the check in and out, the store, I appreciate the ease. Liked the fire pit and of course the springs. Very affordable 😍

Our room needed a towel holder near sink. The front steps need a bit of work. People can sometimes randomly cut through in their cars and trucks, just be aware. Make sign for trash/map easier to read. These are just minor suggestions.

Everything Cabins are always clean and inviting as Anne turns the heat, if a cold time of year, a light in room, and porch light on before you arrive. There is also a little store where you can purchase farm fresh eggs, local ashe county cheese, butter, half and half biscuits, etc, hygiene, s'more supplies, snacks, and her goat milk lotion, bar soap, body cream, which are heavenly. My favorite is the cream in little tub, coffee vanilla is the flavor and it smells divine. Not to mention how luxurious your skin feels. Its always a pleasure.

Nothing I can think of nothing that I don't just love about the place.

Location is beautiful, however it rained most of the late afternoon and evening of our stay, but the covered porch was perfect to sit and enjoy the beautiful outdoor area. We drove into Jefferson for dinner to the Hotel Tavern. They had a great live band in the bar area with big screen TVs to watch the hockey game we wanted to see. The food and service was great, also. After we returned from dinner that night, it had stopped raining so we walked up to the Healing Spring to get water in a pitcher that was provided in our room. It was lit well enough to read the signage, history plaque and to use the spring pump. Also, while my husband was sitting on the porch later that night, a deer came walking up the main road and he whistled at it. The doe stopped and looked at him for a few seconds, then continued walking slowly up the road! I loved the quiet peaceful surroundings. The cabin had everything we needed for a one night stay and we enjoyed the flowers and birds singing in the morning. The handmade soap in the bathroom was a nice treat as well as the map of the area and points of interest. Also, the lodge/store had a nice assortment and supply of food/snacks/drinks/fresh meat/soaps.

The bed was just a little noisy on one side when you got in or out of it, but it was very comfortable and the sheets and pillows were clean and smelled nice. The only thing that wasn't great was the musty smell when we first opened the door to the cabin. It probably had been sitting closed up for some time but also it is a very old structure, so it was understandable. The mild temperatures didn't require air conditioning, but we opened the door (front door has a nice screen door also) and then we turned on ceiling fan to air out the room, and it was just fine in an hour or so. We did have to wash our own dishes in the bathroom sink, but we didn't use many, so it was no trouble.

The cabin and the softest bed I ever slept on. The lights and base board heater were on when we came in that night. We also had one of my phobias hanging tight to the brick in the fireplace . I sat on the floor to light the gas fireplace and me and the brown velvet 2 inch spider met face to face. I screamed so loud my husband was scared I was hurt lol. I smashed the spider and put him in the toilet. Then for the rest of the night I was worried it was a girl and she had babies somewhere and they didn't have mom any more. This experience made me rethink about just leave them alone and let them live. Also we didn't know there wasn't a TV. My husband had tremors lol. I got him up and we went and checked the place out and came and talked about how cool this place is. So we will be back. DO NOT FORGET TO BRING A MILK JUG OR SOMETHING IN TO GET SOME OF THE SPRING WATER. They have empty jugs in the office for 4.00 if you forget. Sorry for the long story lol

The check in states that it is at 4. I asked to have check in a little earlier and they were responsive. There is not someone at the desk 24/7, so that communication is necessary, but they were great! The beds were very comfy and the entire place is just relaxing, peaceful and just the place to be if you want to be in nature and away from the maddening crowds. Unfussy.

We used the kitchen in our cabin to make a couple of meals. It would have been nice to have small things like salt and pepper on hand. However, the essentials were there.

I liked the fact that it was spotless, and they had the heat ready for us when we got there. I was a really easy process to get into the cabin, and it really felt inviting.

I really didn't know we were going to get charged for a cleaning fee, if I had known this I wouldn't have left them a 20 dollar tip. Nothing was mentioned of this until I looked on my bank and realized I was overcharged by 30 dollars. Which made this kinda bad for me was I made sure I wash and cleaned everything before we left, so they didn't have to clean the room but all they had to do was change sheets, so this is really upsetting to me.

We had a wonderful stay and the owners were super friendly! They had a BBQ for all the guests, which we thought was so awesome. We loved that the place has so much history. We will definitely go back!!

Quiet little get away. The unit was simple but stocked for a nice night in. No TV witch was nice, good wifi. Very nice market set up at front desk.

Unit set up right off a side street with no views... Even though it's the summer time and I understand But the fireplaces were not turned on.

Homey. We really enjoyed our short stay. We came up early for our son’s wedding and felt right at home at our cabin. It was quiet for the most part. They had the fireplace on and lights. We settled right in for a winter’s night.
