The location was great. I didn’t do breakfast even though it was supposed to be included. I didn’t know where it was and there was no info in the room. The art was interesting.

There could have been some seating in the foyer as you wait for the valet to bring your car around. That was a little disorganized. The wrong car the first time and they didn’t get the message from the front desk the second. So both times a wait. Seating would have been nice.

The 21C Museum Hotel is very unique and centrally located. The hotel's art exhibit/gallery/museum part is very cool and well-curated. The rooms are very retro. I was a little concerned about the cleanliness given past reviews. However, the room was very clean and modern. The lighting is a tad dim, but that's part of the 1970s charm. It was a hot weekend. The air conditioner does work - was able to adjust the temps to a call 67F.

Great location, room was lovely - quite spacious for a city room, nice size bathroom with walk in shower. We had a corner room with great views of downtown Durham. Bed was comfortable and nespresso in the morning was a nice touch.

Several of the elevators were out of order which made it a bit tricky at busy times. Doors close very loudly so if you are sensitive to sound you might hear the neighbors coming and going.

A perfect location. Friendly staff always on hand to help. Car valet in operstion which is a terrific idea as on a busy main road. The car is collected promptly by the team when required.

Unfortunately, during our 4 day stay the restaurant was not open and the hotel did not let us know before we arrived. However, we did return from the Outer Banks a day earlier in order to catch out flight home the following day, and once my husband had explained to the member of staff on reception, about our experience with not being able to eat in their restaurant during our first stay, he kindly upgraded our room to a 14th floor suite, which we greatly enjoyed. Would stay again.

location was perfect for a show at DPAC. easy walk to dinner and a show. We were upgraded to a suite.. would be a great apartment, it as so big. Loved the bathroom with the black tile. Bed was comfy. Overall vibe is different than other hotels with unique art and historic vibe of old building. Felt like you were somewhere really different.

there was something a little cold about the hotel... maybe the fact it used to be an old bank(?) building... so doesn't have a big welcoming lobby feel. That's just nit picky tho. Overall a very cool hotel.

the staff was fantastic! I must give big props to the valets. We were there for 3 nights to see Widespread Panic at DPAC and location would be hard to beat! Might I mention the band was also staying there 🥰!

The hallway floors appear that they haven’t been buffed/waxed or even cleaned in a very long time.

Very quirky atmosphere, fun to look at even while just in the room. Also ideally located for my trip, central and within walking distance of many venues and restaurants.

The check-in desk was awkwardly located, with no signage to indicate what it was.

Everything I ate was perfect! I really enjoyed it.

I tried to order room service a couple of times, but no one ever picked up the phone. I ended up just going down to the restaurant, but it would have been nice to eat in my room and be able to get some work done.

My first time staying at this hotel and it was AMAZING. The rooms are MASSIVE, and everything is clean and taken care of. The bathroom showers are to die for. Truly a wonderful stay.

Parking. There is only street parking available unless you pay for valet or parking deck.

Hotel restaurant served us a 8 oz steak they sliced up before serving???? why??? It was supposed to be 20oz for $100! It came out cold and was terrible and didn’t offer any resolution. Very disappointed will never be back!
