DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park

Very good breakfast buffet options, convenient location, close to the airport and RTP office buildings, helpful and smiling staff, great lobby bar area to hang out with friends/colleagues. I must admit that my experience at the hotel this time has been much better, compared to my January stay. Kudos to the hotel manager and his team for not only reviewing but also acting on guest feedback. Overall, I'd recommend staying at this hotel when visiting the Research Triangle area.

Nice, clean and well decorated. This is an attractive hotel.

The staff were rude. We went for a family wedding and we’re picked up at the airport by the shuttle driver. He straight up scolding us for not being in the right spot for pick up. Then we get to the hotel and the front desk lady was rude during check in. She knew we were there for a wedding, and all family members were together on two floors with adjoining rooms except for us. We were in a different wing of the hotel and about as far as you can be. No explanations, no details, she just put us there, even after confirming that we were with the wedding party, most of whom checked in after us

The lobby was warm and welcoming and had a bar and restaurant that were full of people and laughter so it must’ve been good. The staff was incredible friendly and helpful!

Our room was below what I can only imagine was the laundry facility. The washing machine spun and gyrated loudly throughout the day and night. We could also hear the hiss of the water when it would fill the machine. It was kind of bothersome but once we figured out what it was l, it wasn’t as bad.

We really liked the location. It’s in a really good spot and the fact that they had a restaurant/bar was really nice too. Would be nice to sit in the pool too, but can’t do that yet. it was really inviting and the warm cookie at check in was great

To be fully honest, there are some things that could he improved. The property was nice and clean but the rooms had some dated stuff. Going in and upgrading the beds, decor and windows would definitely have a good impact overall

Ms. Charlie (front desk staff) greeted me and my husband with such affection and made us feel appreciated for choosing this hotel. The location was great and the hotel was beautiful inside and out. Very clean and inviting. Rooms were clean, big, and very comfortable.

There was no microwave in my room to reheat my coffee or food. I was upset that I had to pay for a breakfast that I could not bring back to my room to be comfortable away from people to relax in my pajamas and sleep in and lounge longer in my room without having to get up early, get dressed, and be forced to eat with people I don't want to eat with (COVID-19 is still out there).

Great location as it is close to the airport, beautiful hotel with a charming feel to it. There was a convention going on during my stay, so it was a bit noisy and hectic. Aside from that, we enjoyed it! also the daily fresh cookies they have at the reception are simply the best.

if you have noisy neighbors, you will hear everything - and I mean, everything. We had a room with an adjoining door, so maybe that was the cause for what seemed like thin walls.

The location had convinient fast foods, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel looks amazing, very well maintained. The room was spotless, no smell of smoke in the hallways. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel was full at arrival, but I never heard any noise from the people. The security in the hotel is 100% on point. Every outside door arround the hotel's parking had keycard access working properly. The staff was amazing, I got treated with so much respect. After I received the room card, I was offered fresh baked cookies. The check out day I asked where I needed to dispose the boxes of pizza and other trash from dinner. But I was told by the receptionist" no worries sir we send someone right away to pick it up". This is by far the best experience I ever had. I wish every hotel will follow this example. As customers we dont need to be treated like kings, but this location really knows how to get a returning customer.

Not a formal complaint, but the bed make a squeaky noise. And I didn't have a personal microwave.

Super friendly staff(not including breakfast hostess/waiter) Clean property and rooms. Good variation for Breakfast hot Breakfast was a plus.

Breakfast waiter old spanish lady and shorter hostess lady talking about other guess thinking they were the only one's that spoke Spanish. Other than the experience everything was great.

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was close to everything and quiet, and the beds were comfortable.

The drain stopper in the bathtub was broken. I used a glass cup from the room to cover the drain and take a relaxing bath after a long day of driving. Also, the smell of marijuana was strong in the hallway when we woke up the next morning. Not the hotels fault, but nonetheless frustrating.

My last stay at a Double Tree wasn't as good as I had hoped. But this one? OMG!!! Absolutely beautiful. The second we walked up to the the lobby of this hotel, we thought we had entered one of those fancy, ritzy hotels they have for $400+ a night in Disney. You almost don't want to leave because it's so beautiful on the inside. But what makes this truly amazing is like some hotels, it's not just the lobby that takes your breath away. It extends to the rooms, too. I was shocked to see so much counter space. Oh, and this hotel passes the white sock test, so feel free to take your shoes off and not worry about getting athlete's foot or something worse. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool, but walked by and it was nicely enclosed. Like nobody diving by will know you're there because they can't see you. Oh and a shoutout to the front-desk crew. Very professional and friendly. After a longer-than-expected road trip, we appreciated that. Did I mention how big the rooms are? We have a double bed room and that thing was the largest of all the hotels we encountered throughout the week. I'll tell ya. Doubletree really stepped it up with this hotel. Don't bother envying those other hotels standing around the area. With this off-the-main-road hotel, you cannot possibly go wrong.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of room service. I get it--Covid and all. Sure. But--and this has been the case with the whirlwind of hotels we've been at--there's never enough towels or washcloths for our party of 3. Instead, they prepared for a party of two. If a hotel asks how many people are staying, then they should prepare the room for that number of people who are staying there. Otherwise, this is a pretty incredible place.
