I love the breakfast they provided. It's tasty and multiple-choice for me. Front desk employees are very kind and friendly. They're full of patience and always glad to help. The lobby offered 24hr coffee and tea, and the coffee was excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean, but you should know that they don't clean up your space without your request. I had a wonderful time staying here, and I will consider staying here again if I visit Portland next time.

Nothing to complain about but a small thing, there was a day the whole area's internet was down. Obviously, it's not the hotel's fault, but their location was not that convenient.

Rooms were lovely - spacious, well maintained.

The toaster broke in the breakfast buffet and was not replaced for the last 2 days I was there. It was a standard family two slice toaster than clearly is not going to handle the volume of people coming through your buggect. An industrial (minimum) 4 slice toaster would be much better. Also in the 5 days i was there only scambled eggs or omelet was served. More variety in this area would be nice (plus bacon, not sausage every day). Cut fruit rather than just whole pieces would also be a good addition - watermelon, cataloupe, pineapple, orange slices etc. Bin in the bathroom of the room would also be nice.

We ended up staying here last minute due to Amtrak delays. Staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our room was clean and looked nice. The roof top lounge was beautiful. Breakfast was 10/10. many options to choose from.

Our AC would come on for about 1 minute and then turn off for about 3 minutes, then come back on and it cycled that way the entire day/night. room was a tad tight for 2 adults 2 teens and 6 bags (backpacks, suitcase, 1 sleeping bag) the pool room was an echo chamber and the air was way too hot, we did not end up using the pool. which was a disappointment as it was the reason we booked this hotel.

There was a great variety of breakfast. All of the options were healthy and delicious. The staff during the breakfast was very polite and helpful. The room was very spacious, aesthetically decorated, exceptionally clean. It went with the overall ambience of the hotel, which had a very delightful collection of art works. The locations was very central. It was close to many good restaurants and not too far from the Pioneer Courthouse Square. Some best places to enjoy the nightlife were close by as well. The staff at the reception, the valet, and the housekeeping people always went a above and beyond to take care of guests.

Literally the most kid-friendly hotel I've ever stayed at. Toddlers loved the paddle pool (shallow, Baby Beluga the Whale squirts water), multiple waffle flavors at the free full breakfast buffet, and mini lollipops at the front desk. I loved the location relative to Powell's, cafes, and public transit, and that even with the valet garage parking cost, it was still cheaper than the conference-affiliated hotel. Added bonus: our room wasn't ready when we arrived, so they gave us a free upgrade to an enormous room.

The staff went above and beyond to make us happy, even getting a room ready for us a little earlier than the actual check in time. We were very pleased. The pool is definitely made for families with small children, which we have. My kids had an all around great time for their first hotel stay. Also, the food at the restaurant was hands down the best burgers and sandwiches we have ever had, seasoned to perfection and so juicy!! They were amazing! Highly recommend eating there!

If you have teenagers, this pool is only about 4.6 feet deep at the deepest part, and it was actually a little colder than expected, so I didn't bring my youngest in to play in the water and I didn't want to stay in long.

the hotel was in a nice area of town, the entrance was warm and inviting, lots of open space, reception staff very accomodating, our king room was large and spacious and had a nice big front window to look out. breakfast supplied was all you could want and nice. loved the fact that coffee was on tap at the front reception anytime good to come back and grab a coffee. having the Tavern almost attached was great to come back after a long day, grab a bite to eat and a drink. would definitely recommend

only thing was that the indoor heated pool was cold, all the kids were freezing, we went to have a nice warm swim but decided Nope too cold

We always love to stay at Hampton Inns. The room and breakfast were up to our expectations. This Hampton Inn has a lovely rooftop lounge space that is great to watch the sun set over the city. The location was good for our first trip to Portland. The staff was very helpful. There is also a bar/restaurant located on the premises and a GREAT Italian bistro across the street.

The area to the east of the hotel is a disaster to walk through. We walked the five blocks to the Chinese Gardens (Highly recommend visiting it) and found the whole area to be virtually closed by homeless. Had to walk back west past our hotel to find a place for lunch. West of the hotel is nice and public transit is very good overall.

The room was very clean and very comfortable. Loved the location as there were so many places to walk to. We did not partake in the breakfast (slept in). The elevators were incredibly smooth and quiet (weird but a nice plus). All the staff we spoke with were all very friendly and totally helpful with suggestions and where to go. I will definitely recommend and stay here again!

The coffee could have been better. There were a few amenities that we weren't aware of that could have been disclosed at the time of check in. I don't recall the details, it wasn't a deal breaker.

The property was very clean and nice. We stayed in the executive suite in room 738. Definitely recommend that room very spacious and big enough for my family and my four-year-old to run around. Breakfast was good. Nice thing is they have complementary coffee, but most of all hot cocoa with my daughter loves. Especially when getting out of the pool and with Portland weather being rainy. The pool was perfect for the kids didn’t have to worry about them. They have a very friendly toddler section which my four-year-old son enjoyed very much. and very close to many good to eat restaurants and coffee shops. Also close to Powells bookstore and other cute shops. We were even able to walk all the way down to the farmers market. It was a good distance but my daughters did amazing. Very close to the Japanese garden as well did not get to make it to see it but definitely on our bucket list for next time when we stay here.

like other reviews, the weekly Valley see a little on the higher end. But definitely don’t mind paying as they were able to bring my car to the front when needed as we did use it to travel elsewhere while we were in Portland.
