the staff was top-both! The patio was amazing, the room was stylish, bright and comfortable, the on-site parking was fantastic, the information binder was helpful, the restaurant was great, the lounging area was beautiful, my dog was happy and welcome, although I didn’t use the gear room or commissary, they were very cool and well-stocked. The location was great-close to lots of parks to walk my dog. I have recommended to friends already and would stay here again if ever back in Portland if at this price point.

The smoked mirror in the main room. I would have liked another useable mirror in the main room as I was travelling with my teenage daughter and the bathroom had the only useable mirrors. So it made getting ready a longer process.

The hotel is a great location - walking distance to the Waterfront Park, Keller Auditorium, and MAX trains. Parking was good and the staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The outdoor patio is lovely. Although the restaurant is not open for breakfast there are good coffee shops close by.

The restaurant is only open from 4-9 pm Tuesday through Saturday. We were there on a Saturday and Sunday but there was a private event on Saturday and so it was closed then as well. Therefore, the vouchers for food and beverages are not very useful. Please be aware that the parking spots are very tight.

I liked the thoughtful additions to the room. An expandable makeup mirror that lit up, a defogging bathroom mirror, a couch with pillows, a central charging station on the desk, artwork in the room, and lobby and the outdoor patio.

I didn't like the high charge held for incidentals/room charges upon check-in. especially since the restaurant was closed for three of the days I was there. The restaurant didn't open until 4:00 pm. The fees automatically charged for the equipment rental and fitness center, which I didn't use. The maid service upon request. I asked for maid service two days after I checked in, and the maid came the next day.

Very clean, quiet and luxurious. The bed was super comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. I found out later in the stay that there was a $15 credit applied to the account that we could use for water and goodies at the gift shop downstairs by the desk.

There were a few minor minuses. For example, I was informed upon chatting with the manager that I could have gotten a microwave delivered to the room, and the fact that there was no breakfast in the lobby or pool was very disappointing , but there was hot coffee and tea, and they did have a gift shop there.

It was in the heart of downtown, just 5 minutes to PSU. We were able to walk to the farmers market, which was a pretty nice bonus. Parking is included and there was always a space for our car in the front lot. Apprently there is a basement garage, however we never used it. Room was clean and a decent size with adequate storage and tabletops to keep our stuff. They even gave us $15 credit for the sundries store and we were able to buy some cute Portland stickers. The credit would have been useful for snacks too. You need a key card after 10pm to enter the building and a keycard for the elevator. So we felt pretty secure amidst the downtown setting.

The bathroom was for the most part clean. However, upon first entry we noticed a weird green shampoo drip on the tub that clearly didn't match the color of the hotel's soaps. It was dried up too so we couldn't really wash it off.

The staff at the front desk is always pleasant. I do not typically see other staff when I stay here, but when I do see them they are equally as nice. The bed is very comfortable and overall, I like everything about this place. The pillows on the bed are fantastic (4 king sized pillows). The shower is awesome (good water pressure, plenty of soap and shampoo/conditioner).

This is not a complaint that I have, but I need to give an honest review so I will mention this. The room is non-smoking and no one has smoked in it for a very long time. However, like many older buildings, there was a time when smoking did occur and there was the slight evidence of that when I first entered the room. It did not bother me and I didn't notice it after initialing entering the room

The hotel is very clean, in a good neighborhood, and the staff is very attentive and helpful. It's great that there is an attractive outdoor patio open all the time which serves light food and drinks from 4:00 p.m. on. The amenities in the room are nice - - AC / refrigerator/safe/good bath products. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The downstairs game room will appeal to families with children. Coffee and tea are available in the room and in the lobby.

I wish they served breakfast, but there are several good options you can walk to and the staff can make recommendations. The lighting in the room is quite dim... But maybe we didn't see how to turn on more lights? Not a big deal because there was a large window.

Very nice decor and cool perks like access to the game room and able to rent all kinds of equipment. The hotel was pretty clean, and centrally located. Walking distance from many restaurants and shops.

There was a bit of an odor in the room, likely because of its age. Had to open the window at times to let air circulate. Also, Wi-Fi is not very strong so would not advise for those looking for strong internet connections.

Very nice hotel and the patio is really an asset as well as the parking space. Clean and nice modern hotel rooms

We were tourists and have not been in Portland the last 10 years. I was shocked how the city changes. Shopping malls are almost empty and downtown is dead. Hotel is located and the south of downtown which is fine for business or if you need to be in the university area. For a tourist most of the nicer area's are to have a drink or dinner are in Pearl district or Old town. Normally you could walk in 15 minutes to these areas, but downtown has been taken over by homeless and junkies and you really do not feel save to walk through in the evening or at night.

Quirky with some great features and really comfortable rooms. Pretty well priced and easy, convenient parking for getting in and out of the city to head towards the waterfalls. Bed was super comfy and great shower pressure - all you need in a room really! The games space is a nice touch - we didn’t use it but if you were in a larger group it would be a good place to hang out.

Portland. I would have liked a heads up or even just an acknowledgment of the current situation from staff. The city is not in a good place with a large number of homeless communities who are suffering with mental health issues and drug addiction. We felt so uncomfortable out in the city that we scurried out and back for dinner each night. The tips and suggestions pamphlet is much like other tourism coverage and seemingly in denial of the issues. We loved the outskirts and waterfalls but the city was just awful. We won’t be back sadly, not until there is a measurable improvement in how people are housed and looked after when they most need it.
