Microtel Inn & Suites

My experience here was way better than what i expected. The front desk was very helpful, staff was very kind and always greets you and takes care of you. The bed was comfortable, the layout of the room was amazing, bathroom was clean and comes with utilities like a hair blowdryer. I had a room on the top floor and by the window was a small cushioned space that you can use to lay down by the window. The kitchen area was very spacious and very well put together.

Please build a ramp or some type of walkway for pedestrians wanting to walk into and off the property. I had to walk through a fence to cut the distance of walking the whole driveway. It's not very convenient for someone who does not have a vehicle. Also the TV options were ok. I know no one travels to a hotel to watch a movie but when you do not want to be on your phone to watch something in bed, the TV is your best choice but not when the options are very cliche.

Staff was helpful when I needed assistance finding the entrance. Breakfast was simple but fine. I got all the juice and decaf coffee I could drink. The bed was comfortable and I really like the nonsmoking suite. I'll stay there every time, if I can!

Needs better sound insulation. I heard a couple next door arguing well past 1am, and I needed to get up early the next day, was very tired... I also wish you had more types of tea, not just black! I'm sensitive to caffeine. Peppermint, green, something fruity, rooibos. So many other options you could have! And you definitely need better vegan options for breakfast, not just peanut butter on toast or watery oatmeal.

Nice clean facility, if a bit small

We had a problem with a noisy customer in the room above us. They were noisy between 2 and 5 AM. at 3:30AM I called the desk and they promised to call the room to see what was happening. It got a bit quieter until about 5AM when it finally settled down. The next day the desk checked and found a single lady had checked into that room so we stayed where we were, room 210. Second night was quiet.

I loved the convenience of the property and the price! The cleanliness and how comfortable the bed was!

The front desk person was seen nodding out at the computer screen while trying to check myself and my partner in. He had clearly come in from outside and had some sort of cracking/foaming in the corners of his mouth and his speech was slurred. There was no one else in the vicinity to report to.

All of the staff was very friendly. The room was cleaner than hotels I've stayed at that cost much more. Unique features to the room, such as an eating bar with 2 stools and a cushioned window seat long enough to sleep on.

You can see the hotel from the road but have to turn on to what looks like a road just for an auto repair shop then go behind it and around to the hotel. There is a very small sign that has the hotels name on the street name post. I drove back and forth 3 times before I saw the little sign.

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The location was great and the breakfast was, too. We had just come from a much more expensive chain hotel that served a much less interesting breakfast and whose staff were not friendly. The staff here were wonderful.

The entrance to the property wasn't easy to find when we arrived but afterwards we had no trouble at all. It's the odd placement of the driveway that got us confused.

My brother and I were on a road trip to the 1000 Island region and this town was the halfway point. We're glad we chose this place. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were just right The continental breakfast was good to. In fact, this place was so good that we stayed there again on our way home too. Its a great place for weary travelers to get a great night's rest.

The entrance could be marked and lit better. Turning into a dark alley and being greeted with a locked back door first is a bit disconcerting. Once we found our way to the entrance late at night, all was cool.

The breakfast was average. Yogurt was runny like liquid. The location is pretty good, close to all the routes. For the money though the micro hotels are great. We've used them frequently when traveling.

You should mention the pizza place next door. It's partially hidden from view and you don't see it from one direction. we drove around looking for a place to eat and didn't even see it until we came back. looked like a good place and you could walk to it. No reflection on you though.

The free breakfast was a little something to get your day started. Muffins were delicious! The location was great. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the place. Even the elevator smelled good! Plenty of restaurants in the area. Easy access to all the main roads for transportation.

I know it's a free breakfast, so anything is good as far as I'm concerned. My husband said the coffee was fair from the automated machine. And hard boiled eggs were provided that could be heated up in the microwave, but fresh cooked eggs and maybe some bacon or sausage would have made it so much better! Breakfast ended at 9:30am. Maybe extend it to 10:30 or 11:00am?

Everything! The staff were great. Room was clean as a whistle. I’ve been stopping here for over 10 years (just after it opened) and this is the best it’s ever been.

The sign upon entry is still very confusing—but given it’s location, you probably can’t do much about that.
