Stroudsmoor Country Inn

It was peaceful and felt secluded. The layout of the cottages and buildings provided a sense of privacy for each guest.

I was excited about the hot breakfast that was included in the price of our stay. Then I was a little disappointed when my omelet was made with egg beaters and had no flavor. I also did not like how each party of guests was seated at tables directly next to each other so it was almost like a community breakfast which I was not expecting. Especially since it was heald in a dining room with more than enough tables to give each party their own space to enjoy the meal with the people they came to spend time with. I feel it is important to note that these two tiny disappointments didn’t really matter overall. The cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere, and more than reasonable rates are enough to make me look forward to booking another stay there in the future.

Charm of the Inn, beautiful surroundings, small store to purchase drinks and snacks, able to purchase bakery items that were made by the Stroudsburg bakery nearby, incredibly nice staff.

In the the room, there was a non-functioning electrical outlet that appeared to be intentionally disabled. Unfortunately, it was in the most convenient location in the room. Suggest covering it with a flat plate. Had to search around for another outlet and found one behind the dresser. There was also one in the bathroom.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful, the views were breathtaking, and the staff treated you like family. The room was comfy and felt like home. We enjoyed walking at night. Very quiet. Sitting on the porch was so peaceful We would love to come back again!

The dehumidifier in the room was necessary, but had to be emptied twice within 12 hours and VERY NOISY. White noise can be relaxing, this one sounded more like a running motor. Suggestions Pool hours should be extended to 10 or 11p for guests. Lighting could be improved outside at night. Lightening has more of a romantic feel than safety for walking the roads to cabin, etc.

Beautiful old style resort with lots of charm. Excellent restaurant, very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Excellent continental breakfast, great bakery and lovely old bar with a terrific fireplace with a large sitting room and lobby area. Also know as a great wedding venue.

The rooms are older, not modern, but very clean and have an antique charm. Not everyone’s idea of todays resorts or hotels but lots of old world charm.

I really liked the location it looks like a Swiss-style gem in the Poconos. It looks pristine and historical at the same time and it’s super clean

I didn’t like the breakfast so much! It is called continental breakfast but it wasn’t a continental breakfast at all! Just muffins, fresh fruit ,one type of cake, cereal, coffee and hot water ! No bread, no savoury options , no eggs .

very nice in many ways: the room was kind of like having your own mini condo, It was a nice nature trail on the property and it was just a couple of miles from town while still being out in the country

it had a nice shower but no bath… But that might’ve been because I booked it late. The towels were a little bit musty and the shampoo and conditioner for old and thick, probably because this was a handicapped equipped room it wasn’t rented very often, at least not recently.

Such a beautiful place very very nice and great breakfast! Picture perfect . Lovely wildlife to see also .

The only thing I did wish they had a milk substitute for coffee not because I was vegan but because I am allergic to milk!! Almost every place offers a substitute these days seemed odd such a lovely place didn’t.

Quiet cabins with very nice settings and porches. The Friday seafood buffet is excellent and the staff are generally friendly. Conveient to Route 80.

The double beds in the cabin are a bit small but as advertised. Some of the staff seem a little stressed and not happy with their work but they performed adequately.

Breakfast was excellent!! Swimming pool and spa were awesome!!! The grounds of the property are beautiful and the inn is close to the Bridal Veil Falls.

Dinner was too overpriced and not tasty at all. I would skip that part next time we are at the Inn.

Breakfast was a nice treat, it was real people who were gracious and happy to see you. Food was fresh and good and not what you typically find in hotels today, pancake machines and juice boxes. Great Job Stroudsmoor keep up the good work it is appreciated. I am not pretending this was a Ritz, but felt like the staff actually cared and everyone put forth their best effort to make sure the property and guests are well taken care of.

The weather, but the Inn couldn't control that.
