Breakfast, didnt try pancakes on gluten-free diet😒

The breakfast selection was normal hotel fair but the attendant was really on top of everything, refreshing coffee, hot foods and keeping everything clean and neat. I was impressed as how the entire staff helped at breakfast. I saw the manager clean a spill spot on the floor, a housekeeping girl picked up my paper trash as I finished my coffee. The cold juice dispenser failed one morning and three people tried to get it back in service. You don't see that often.

I have one observation. The two automatic doors at the front entrance are worn out! This is the very first thing a guest sees when arriving. When I arrived, I thought to myself, what have I booked. Again this is the only fault I found at this location but it really did give a negative vibe every time I passed the lobby. You could hear them chatter from the dining area. At least have them lubricated and adjusted by a professional.

The staff is the asset of this hotel: everyone was patient, accommodating, and eager to help or exchange a quick talk. We felt beyond pampered and would love to come back soon. Traveling with two little kids, we appreciate having the bedroom separated from the living room, the clean bathtub and the quiet swimming pool, the basic amenities including a fridge, coffee machine, and a microwave. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the comfortable table to share our meals on including breakfast from the buffet downstairs. With raging Covid variants, it made a huge difference to keep our distance and feel safe. Everyone from the personnel had their masks on and we are grateful for it.

The mattress was too soft. Hot breakfast items were out by 9 am in the am when most people were accessing the breakfast area and were not replenished. House keeping did not stop by to check on us for all three days/nights but everyone was quick to help with new towels, toiletries or to take the trash bins out when we asked them to.

The staff was efficient and friendly, they went out of their way to advise about the features of the hotel and were very helpful. The morning Breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT and exceeded our expectations. Appreciated the snacks and fruit available during the day. We also appreciated that our room was ready before the scheduled check in time. The General Manager, Andrew ,reached out to us personally to assist us after we asked to modify our original reservations due to COVID precautions cancelling most events we originally were to attend in this area. This indicated a high level of professionalism on his part. Thank you Andrew !!!

indoor pool was out of service for our stay.

The hotel and our room were very comfortable and clean! The bed was very comfortable and I absolutely love the soft sheets! The free breakfast looked very good, however we were meeting friends for breakfast so only enjoyed a cup of coffee. It was a good location to the local wineries we were there to visit. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, with a quick check-in and out.

Only thing I wished we had a longer stay to enjoy the facilities such as the pool and fitness area.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The value for money was excellent here and we were close enough to all the activities we came to do around Newport. Andrew, the manager, was excellent to work with when we had an issue with our room. Very polite and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The pool was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff was beyond accommodating.

The bathroom needed upgrading. There wasn’t a fan, so the bathroom stayed humid and wet after a shower. Also, caulking was coming out around the sink and tub.

it’s almost a good trip , everything was ok until we check out and we got a rude front desk worker. I was only asking a question with regards to charges but she shrug and raise her voice telling me you book with third party you call and deal with them not us.

Frustrated with basketball groups all the noise but management was fantastic and treated us well and made things much better would come back another time call first to find out who else is going to be there

Too much noise basketball tournaments going on kids running up and down the Halls today and night couldn't get to the breakfast facilities no way we could use pool

It was very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The towels were of good quality, I always like that. The representatives at the desk were very friendly and helpful. I liked the shower gel and hair care products in the shower, I think it is resourceful as well. Location was excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

The only thing I can think of that was mildly inconvenient was that there wasn't enough sweetener provided for the tea and coffee. I had to go downstairs to the Lobby for it.
