The innkeeper was very kind to wait for us and explained all of the check-in/out procedures thoroughly. The room was very cozy and the bathroom was super clean. Parking was convenient and the location was very good. The yoghurt parfaits for breakfast were delicious and the apple turnovers were divine! There was ample water and juice in the fridge.

Although there was a Keurig machine in the room, we would have preferred a freshly brewed cup of coffee to go with the wonderful pastries. It seemed an odd choice not to serve coffee.

The Bouchard Inn was a real gem of a place to find in Newport. We expected it to be nice but-WOW!! It's just such a beautiful little spot, perfectly placed in the city. We walked and rode our bikes everywhere around the area from there. There was some problem with our room before we got there, so they upgraded us and that was AMAZING!!! We got to see some of the other rooms, and they were surprisingly spacious and beautiful as well. The staff was welcoming and so nice. The delicious, warm, fresh baked pastries delivered to your door was the icing on the cake. We are coming back soon! Thank you Bouchard Inn!

We loved the room/suite we had for 3 nights. We also had an excellent dinner at the restaurant one evening...our server/Captain was Dan...he took very good care of us both. Another big complement goes to Carmen who seems to be multi talented and very much engaged at the Bouchard to provide excellent services. Thank you Carmen for taking care of us, especially Friday night.

The Keurig coffee was the only thing we didn't like. Please change that.

Overall a great stay even though we had to change rooms for the second night - the new room was even better than the first. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast fresh and tasty with juice and milk already in the refrigerator. Nice bathrooms with good lighting and nice fixtures. The location was nice for access to shops and restaurants.

As all rooms are above ground level, navigating the stairs with suitcases was a bit of a challenge, although assistance was offered. On the night when the restaurant was closed, the desk clerk was not available to answer any questions and the voice message we left went unanswered. All of the open electrical receptacles in the second room were so worn that none of our chargers would stay plugged in, so we had to rotate them using the only working receptacle in the bathroom over the sink.

Bouchard Restaurant and Inn was a great place for a quick get away. Close to downtown Newport while being far enough away. Staff was attentive, kind and they care about details. Room had a sound machine and ear plugs to help with the noise from being in a city which was great! At check-in staff asked about food allergies for the provided breakfast. The gluten free option was delicious and I was grateful for the attentiveness as that doesn’t happen every where you go!

There was no fan/vent in the bathroom so as soon as you showered you had to open the door to be able to see in the mirror.

bed was fantastic! thoroughly enjoyed the warm croissants and mixed fruit in yogurt delivered to my door daily. finding the oj and water and milk in the room fridge (all complementary) was very thoughtful. Huge closet for all your things. liked the ear plugs and sound machine to overcome the street noise!

did have to park up the street one night as there were no spots on the property. Parking is definitely at a premium in Newport.

This was our second stay and it was just as wonderful as the last time. We booked early and got a great rate, parking is included on-site and we were able to to leave our car a few hours past check-out with permission which was very convenient. Check-in was quick and easy and the host, Carmen, was so friendly. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The A/C worked so well we were cold and had to turn it down! The glass shower doors were so clean I kept thinking I left the door open while showering. Our room was situated next to O'Brien's, a busy bar/restaurant. The inn provides both earplugs and a white-noise machine for those who may be bothered but we never heard a sound either during the day or late at night from either outside nor from anywhere else in the inn and we never used the tv. Complimentary coffee, tea, orange juice, bottled water and milk are provided in-room as is a lovely light breakfast left outside your door each morning. So glad to have found this wonderful inn. Looking forward to our next visit!

The property is unique and perfectly located with special details in the room and a daily fairy delivers a delicious turnover and fresh yogurt/fruit to your room each morning. Stock for coffee and water/juice was constantly refreshed. the bed and pillows were excellent. George checked us in for the Inn and the restaurant and he is an exceptional host! Loved everything about our stay.

Parking is available but you better be careful to make tight turns! not recommended for very large cars.

From the moment we came this property went above and beyond with exceptional service. The inn is so charming with an European flair. The room was very clean and well laid out. Breakfast was included and served outside our door. We had dinner at their restaurant and that was definitely a five star with outstanding food and service. Would definitely come back again.

The check in was excellent and the young lady did an excellent job explaining codes, breakfast, the cleaning process of the room and parking regulations. The cleaning staff that I met were very friendly and willing to come back an hour later when the room would be available. We ate dinner the first night, very good food & service. Yes, I would return do to the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. I call it excellent customer service.
