Wyndham Newport Onshore has a great staff of professional, caring, and informative personnel. The front desk was more than helpful, answered all of the questions we had regarding our stay. The maintenance staff was also very helpful in addressing our questions. Upon entering the suite, we were very happy with our choice of stay at Wyndham Onshore. The contemporary furnishing were modern and in excellent condition. Location is center stage on Thames Street.

I can't say that anything negative comes to mind.

Location was great! Room was clean and comfortable.

The lighting in the room could definitely have been brighter; it was very difficult to iron our clothing. The cleaning person was outside our door at 9 a.m. while we were gathering our bags to leave, and there wasn't much space for both our luggage cart and her cart of cleaning products. We had to move aside so she could place her cart in the stairwell. Otherwise, our stay was great and we will be back.

The suite was beautiful. More spacious than expected and very clean. The property is very well located, right downtown.

The parking was confusing. We were told to park in space #35, but there was a car already parked in that space. We called the front desk and were told that we needed to wait until they got another guest to move their car. There were tons of other empty spaces so not sure why we had to wait. Also, we asked for a late check-out at 11 a.m. on Sunday but received a very curt call from the front desk exactly at 10 a.m. about why we hadn't left yet.

Property is under construction. We were t notified but staff were very nice Rooms are dated but very comfortable. Outdoor balcony was wonderful. Great view

I was originally booked at their other property. They cancelled last minute Two times it happened. Due to that I will never book with that hotel again. 5 hour trip to find out you don’t have a room. Then got a room somewhere else for $300+ more.

When we arrived, we were told our reservation had been canceled and we were to have been notified 24 hours before. Payment taken, no call, no reservation. Joe Rosario and Jarneya went above and beyond finding us another room with the same accommodations. I cannot say enough how happy I am with the both of them. Christmas with the family was a success! Thank you both should you see this. Merry Christmas 🎅

The property was centrally located. It was a big apartment enough space for my family and we weren’t cramped. I loved the two balconies. The fireplace made the living room feel cozy. They had a free craft on Saturday and at checkin there was a cocktail hour. The view of the water was so calming.

The only negative is that there isn’t someone in the lobby 24 hours. If you need something you have to call the sister property.

Room was actually a one bedroom apartment. Very spacious with large bathroom and complete kitchen. Separate bedroom and a living room. Balcony had a nice view of town. It was in the middle of the historic district but still quiet. Recommend for families. We were there for a Navy OCS graduation.in December.

We were unable to contact the front desk or any staff to see if we could check in early. They seem to have one person on desk duty during normal working hours. She was very helpful, when we arrived. Might be a problem if you have travel delays or mishaps.

On arrival, the front desk staff were courteous and efficient. There was a good amount of free parking within the boundary of the facility, which is unusual for in-town Newport. Nice for convenience and security! The resort is only a couple minutes walk to Thames St and Long Wharf Mall. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, which was even open during the off season! The kitchenette in the room was adequate for our needs and the staff provided extra ground coffee, and pantry items as needed. Lots of channels on the televisions. There are elevators and literally dozens of self-service hotel luggage carts available to make your check-in and out easy.

There was some evidence of construction or renovation going on in one of the other sections. However, we experienced absolutely no noise or inconvenience. Oh, and parents who let underage kids frolic in the hot tubs, but that is a parent issue, not a hotel issue.

The place was very convenient to downtown Newport and the staff was great. We were there for Christmas and were able to get a later checkout which helped us out since most things wee closed on Christmas Day. Would definitely go back again.

My only suggestion would be that the place could use a freshening up.

The layout and space was absolutely perfect

The indoor pool was a bit of a letdown. 1 table and a family had "reserved" it while swimming. 3 other chairs that were taken up by 1 person. She sat on 2 chairs that were stacked together and used 1 for her feet. Would have liked to sit somewhere and watch my kids swim but I couldn't so they didn't get to use the pool. More chairs would make sense.
