The Inn was conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. The innkeepers were very nice, accommodating and ready with suggestions of places to see and restaurants to visit. They also gave us champagne flutes for the bubbly we brought with us as well as wine glasses for our wine. We enjoyed our drinks out on the front porch. Our room and bed were comfortable. The Inn was beautiful and very clean. We enjoyed the cocktail hour that they put out at 5 pm that offered wine and cheese. They also had coffee and water, along with cookies available during the day, which were in the dining room. Some other reviews mentioned noise from the clubs in front of the Inn but we weren't disturbed by that and didn't find that it was that loud at all. We slept fine.

We stayed in the plantation room which was a touch small. Getting around to the bathroom meant someone had to move out of the way to get past the bed. Not a major deal for us but might be for others. Room didn't have a Mini fridge however, they have a community fridge under the main staircase where we put our beverages.

Our stay at the Inn was truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Newport. First and foremost, the location of the Almondy Inn is absolutely fantastic. It is within walking distance of all the major attractions and sights in Newport, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Whether you want to explore the historic mansions, stroll along the waterfront, or shop and dine in the downtown area, everything is just a short walk away. The innkeepers at the Almondy Inn are knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that their guests are comfortable and well taken care of. They truly know what they are doing and are always happy to provide recommendations and advice on the best things to see and do in Newport. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with high-end furnishings and amenities that make for a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay. The attention to detail is apparent in every aspect of the Inn, from the comfortable bedding to the sparkling clean bathrooms. Finally, the homemade breakfast served every morning is simply delicious. It is the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore all that Newport has to offer. Overall, I would highly recommend the Almondy Inn to anyone travelling to Newport. The location, service, and amenities are all exceptional, and it is truly one of the best places to stay in this charming and historic city.

The breakfast was amazing. Hostess Laurence is an accomplished baker. I am still dreaming about the sweet Breton cake, Kouign-amann, we had on our first morning. Host John is full of good recommendations for sightseeing and dining options. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed the wine & cheese hour meeting our fellow guests. The Sunset Room was small but with a lovely view; it was cozy and perfectly suited to our needs. We also appreciated the central location. We were able to walk to dinner every night.

There is a piano bar at the end of the street. The music wasn't an issue so much as the patrons leaving the bar at night who may be a bit noisy. However, ear plugs were provided in the room and we never had a bad night sleep in the end.

We experienced great hospitality at this traditional classic style b and b. Our room was clean and well appointed albeit small. The snacks and wine and breakfast all excellent. we recommend with a caveat that noise next door can be annoying late at night.

Our room was across from a fairly loud music bar. On a Friday night stay very noisy until about 2am. Earplugs provided only a minor help. Manager should give folks more of a heads up as some of us are light sleepers.

The location was amazing. The Inn was quaint and the extra touches of the warm chocolate chip cookies every afternoon, the complimentary wine and cheese each day at 5pm, and of course the delicious breakfast each day was amazing! I appreciated the staff recommendations of best places to go and eat while in Newport. I felt pampered here, and I loved waking up to the smell of breakfast in the morning.

John and Laurence were wonderful hosts treating their guests with the extra special touches like wine and cheese at 5 PM and homemade cookies were set out for us in the afternoon as well as access to tea and coffee in the beautiful sitting room. We were spoiled in the morning with an amazing breakfast and such hospitable service. The room was tastefully decorated both modern with cozy immaculate high end bedding and pillows, a beautiful bathroom with a jacuzzi tub but with colonial details and pieces that kept with the period of the house. It was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary both romantic and quaint. John was very welcoming when we arrived, helped us with deciding our itinerary and navigate Newport spending time with us to outline a map and giving us the inside scoop with where to eat. Besides the perfect location of the inn, close to the action but not in it, having a place to safe place to park and the fact that they made us feel like family will bring both of us coming back to visit! Every summer I come to newport and pay high rates at inns only to leave thinking, "that place wasn't great." The Almondy Inn is different. The room, bathroom, common areas were spotless. The furnishings and bathroom have been recently updated while still retaining historical charm. There's central air! The hot breakfasts were superb and lovingly prepared and plated. i made two annoying requests that were so graciously delivered upon. 1. I don't eat indoors because of covid, so every morning, they served my breakfast to me on the front porch and regularly checked in on me. I met a couple staying at another inn who also don't eat indoors and were told they could not have their breakfast on that inn's front porch or in their room. Almondy didn't even hesitate to accommodate! 2. I left a note in the room asking housekeeping if they could clean with the window open and ceiling fan on (covid concerns). I was just hoping for honor code, but came back that night to the window cracked open and ceiling fan on. Really appreciated! Can't beat the location. Easy private lot parking.

The staff truly exceeded expectations. The service and hospitality rivaled five-star hotels. The rooms were clean, cozy, and charming. The location was fantastic as well—just far enough from the downtown area that you could sit on the porch during the day and sleep in our room at night but close enough that everything is accessible on foot. Almondy Inn was everything you want from a B&B/inn.

Almondy Inn is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed at in Newport! From the incredibly well-appointed and beautifully restored house with tasteful furnishings and exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms to the amazing breakfast every morning with oven-fresh baked goods and tasty egg dishes, as well as a great location, we could not have asked for anything more. Fresh baked cookies, and wine and cheese before dinner are just a few of the wonderful extras. Our thanks to innkeepers John and Laurence for making us feel so welcome!

I would highly recommend a stay at the Almondy Inn in Newport Rhode Island. We were treated like royalty. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade due to a cancelation. The room was beautifully decorated and had a pretty sea view. We enjoyed happy hour each afternoon and an incredibly delicious breakfast each morning. The location of the Inn is perfect. It is right in the heart of town. You can walk everywhere. The owners were very kind and extremely generous!! I will be back.
