The Hammetts has a cool vibe! The location in my opinion is at a great central point to most everything in Newport. I liked the lounge areas. They are sprinkled about the property both inside with large windows ( even on the upper floors with good views) as well as outside with views of the water /marina. Good spots for conversation, work or enjoying the views. Complimentary coffee/tea in the morning located in the lobby lounge. Several options for breakfast were within walking distance. The valet/parking was both very easy and very convenient! The thanks ability to get ones car at any time to come and go as needed was a bonus.

It’s a really handsome hotel with beautiful interior design. The details of beds, linens, bath products, etc. were all fantastic. In the middle of the night we realized our AC wasn’t working (or I couldn’t get it to work) and without hesitation I was offered another room and I moved. The staff there was friendly and very helpful. Lastly, the process of getting the car from the valet (QR code) is brilliant.

The hotel is so expensive and the parking price is too high, especially since there’s not many (bus?!) ways to get there without a car. It’s a bummer when you have the added cost of very expensive parking.

It is a great location! The hotel has a Restoration Hardware vibe with a comfort feeling. It is very clean, has awesome amenities and the staff is super friendly!

I would not use the phrase “didn’t like”. The hotel rooms were very nice. Love the high ceilings and the efficient use of space. If it were just my spouse and I traveling I would say the room was perfect, but our 14yr old was with us and the room became a bit tight for three people. I would book a larger room next time or two rooms. My family loved the hotel and we will recommend to friends and family.

Location was fantastic and the hotel is beautiful.

Our room was very warm, it was set to 71 degrees when we got there. we struggled to get the temperature lower so sleeping was not that great because it was too warm. I do wish there was something to hide the noise coming from the bathroom. If one of us was using the toilet, you could hear everything.. somewhat embarrassing. The other thing that wasn’t ideal was the fact that check out was at 11 and we had to move our car by 2. I do understand others are coming in but it would be nice to be able to leave our car for the day but that’s purely my opinion vs a problem.

We had an amazing view over the water from our room. Incredibly comfy bed too. Hotel location is perfect for exploring Newport.

Loved it all

Very clean and neat. Upscale. Easy location to other attractions. Nice community "feel" on the Guisto's deck area. Rooms had a European feel.

Parking cost was a little steep for guests. Instead of the $45/day that was charged, $30/day would be more reasonable and in-line with other vacation locations. Minor issue: Very low shower water pressure. Plenty of hot water but low, low water pressure.

Everything was so good we added another night.

When we added another night we checked out and added the night then we left for the day. When we came back to our disappointment house cleaning had not come to our room. Didn't change the sheets or towels or clean anything and all the trash and recycle from previous night was still there. We had to put all of our trash into trash bags that we happen to have on our own.

Fantastic location! Close to everything. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The valet team was SO kind and fast.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Room was small, no desk or chair, just a long chaise. No bar or snacks or food aside from morning coffee/tea in the lobby (basic) and no fridge in the room so if you want to buy some water or soda to keep in the room, it will be room temp. For the price I was expecting some kind of personal touch in the room, a welcome or a guide or something, but nothing provided. All very sterile.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was immaculate. The refillable water bottle and water stations were a nice touch. The views were magnificent! And the location was perfect.

The room (standard queen) was a bit small for our family of 3 (our 13 yr old son slept on the daybed). You need a masters degree to use the thermostat. And a little fridge would be so nice to have for those that are staying for several days.
