The Beverage Manager was the loveliest lady we have ever encountered at any hotel EVER... The roof top bar is great but the bartender in the main dining is a very fine mixologist. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the location makes it the best spot in Newport...

The property was under renovation so the in hotel dining and bar situation was smaller/different than it would normal be; with that said, the rooftop deck is awesome, especially for sunsets! The staff made this trip 10/10, accommodated special requests ahead of our arrival, we’re always around to help, provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and bars, and we’re just generally great! Front desk, valet, waitstaff, bartenders, management, top to bottom, great people!!

Overall, the hotel was very nice but too expensive.
The bedroom was kind of dark and we were required to have the light on all day. The indoor pool looked much nicer on the picture and it was not much fun using it.

The staff is amazing and the hotel is beautiful. The location is also wonderful. It's very expensive but a worthwhile splurge! The rooftop bar offers a spectacular view of the harbor.

Very warm and inviting brings you back in time to appreciate the better things in life sit back and relax and enjoy the company you’re with. Will definitely have to come back in the warmer season to enjoy the upper deck, garden and of course the pool Amenities that the Vanderbilt has to offer we had an exceptional stay.
The only thing that I could say is the heating units in the room are quite loud and had to turn off the thermostat so they would not run through the night to interrupt our sleep.

One of the more uniquely decorated hotels and rooms I've stayed in. Very relaxing and yet close to great places and sights in Newport. Staff is very friendly and Morgan is a rock star concierge.

the rooms were beautiful. our welcome was exceptional, with a handwritten note and a complimentary bottle of wine. the restaurant is excellent. location is perfect, walking distance to shops and restaurants

Very dog friendly hotel, they were welcomed just as if they were our kids which to us they are.
It could be cleaner in some places carpet was filthy in the room and the mirrors and chandeliers could use some detailing.
