The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to from I-95. The room was bright and fun and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby is beautiful. Very elegant and historic. We ordered room service and the food came quickly and was very good.
We were awakened at 2 am by the sound of gunfire. We also heard lots of sounds of voices and movement in the hallway but there was never anyone out there. Several times we heard the sounds of repeatedly slamming doors but again could not find a source. Before going to sleep we locked the deadbolt and flipped the latch but upon waking in the morning both were unlocked. It was an interesting overnight!

We actually were on the go, so we mostly did a big lunch or early dinner. But the coffee drinks were great. Rooms were awesome, beds were phenomenal, staff was terrific.
I really wish you guys had a book of phone numbers, or extensions, or a room service menu. I know the ambiance is the whole thing, but you could have made like 400 bucks off me and and my Husband if we knew how to go to or call the spa. We had walked 30 miles the day before and were trying to figure out who to call. Not a big thing, but could make you a lot more money.

We loved the friendliness of the staff and their active communication. The two front desk staffers when we arrived were very helpful and helped us promptly. The property was beautiful and unique, we personally loved the graduate theme with alumni on the key cards. Our room was comfortable and modern, but was a bit small, which I’ll share in the next section. Although we didn’t partake in the on-site bar, it was great to see that a bar was available for people staying at the hotel.
Our main concern was the value of our room versus what we received. Our room was very small and felt rather tight for the cost we paid. In addition, our sink faucet was not fully fastened to the sink and was moving when we used it. The room was comfortable and clean, but just felt small and not thoroughly maintained.

We had a spacious suite that included a direct view of the capitol building. Access was good and the location was close to good restaurants and historic architecture. Rooms were very quiet. We never heard a sound from another room during our stay.
The room was a bit on the chilly side. Perfect for me, but not so my wife. Room service came right up with a space heater and she was very happy with it. It may be that we were there at the perfect time, as we noted reviews from mid-summer and mid-winter were more critical of the temperature. Only real down-side during our stay was housekeeping knocking on the door each morning at 8 AM. That's much earlier than any place we have ever stayed.

Beautiful, charmingly-updated, iconic hotel in downtown Providence. Evening staff was very friendly. Gorgeous lobby, large hallways, spacious and colorful rooms (we gratefully had a suite), impressive views over downtown Providence. We especially enjoyed all the vintage pics and other college-themed quirks.
Bathroom was small, not really updated, and w/ a shower curtain that did not close well (thus getting the floor wet) and a toilet that did not flush well. Also there was some sound-proofing but it could have be better; we could hear people talking in the room next door, the room doors slammed loudly, and we could hear plenty of street noise, especially sirens and music from the skating rink. We slept well but it was a tad frustrating. Overall, however, a very memorable place to which we hope to return!

It was quiet. Great design.clean, spacious, secured passage, you can’t even use the elevator without a key LOL... Enough of everything was available. __We came to go rail riding 30 minutes from there and I believe I napped about 15 hours after GOOD SLEEP..LOL__ And our special housekeeper was nicely firm be make sure we were comfortable.. And it would be nice if tunnel to garrage was open, with a watchman..most strangers we sociable.
The only thing I didn’t like was at check out I asked for a copy of my bill, she asked if she could email it to me.. and believing I’d get it I said ok.. It never came through.. I sent 4 emails asking for it and still didn’t get one….. _______WHERE IS MY RECEIPT???_____

The hotel itself is unique and beautiful, resembling a movie set. We stayed in the studio on the 14th floor, the view was great, both in the morning sun and at night with all of the lights over the landmark buildings. The layout of the studio was excellent, all the furniture is comfortable and clean, walk-in closet with plenty of space. Good soundproof too. Very good location, walk distance to Riverwalk park, and other landmarks.
The window curtains could not be closed, so the room was not all that dark during the night hours. The booking charge for hotel included "resort fee", which was kind of odd, provided we did not plan to use the spa. Parking garage is the only option for you when traveling by car, it is next building over from the hotel, however it is the same with most of the hotels downtown ( on the bright side, they let you keep your car there until 2pm on the day of departure).

This is a unique beautiful hotel in an amazing central location in Providence. Everything was within walking distance, including great restaurants and bars. They even have a nice little rooftop patio open to guests. We'd stay again in a minute.
Be aware that the HVAC system is a little older, so when the city is hot, it has to work pretty hard. And, I've been stuck in a hotel elevator before so the elevators gave me a little anxiety.

I booked a junior suite and this was the type of room that every hotel should offer me during my stays. I have no problem with spending money but I need to feel that I receive what I pay for. The junior suite is gorgeous. Also, the entrenance is a photo moment. Don't be ashamed you are not the first and not the only one.
At 8.30 the cleaning lady knocked on the door serveral times to see if she could enter the room. At 11.00 am the cleaning team was there again. Check out was at 11.00 so I was running a bit late but they shouldn't come knocking before 11.10 at least. Also, no breakfast. At least you are able to purchase breakfast at the coffee house next door but a proper breakfast buffet would have given the place an extra star.

Staff were very nice. Food was good. It was central and very clean. Lovely towels and toiletries and lovely water in fridge every day
No air conditioning even though it stated in our booking that we would have it. They did provide a fan but could not leave it on as it was extremely noisy. Room was v hot and stuffy. Had few toilet issues but were sorted really fast
