Comfort Inn Downtown Charleston

Everything was good but the sofa could ofbeen cleaned or replaced, had some spots on it but other than that it was pretty good.

The hotel was a very good price to be located near the Historic District. The breakfast was very good . The area was clean every morning and the variety was nice. The location was good being a short drive to King, Meeting, etc. The in room microwave was handy. And the fridge.

The room wasn't great. The furniture was banged up. There is a big hole under the sink and there is no cabinet so....The windows were so dirty on the outside that it was difficult to see through even though that side view of the hotel was nothing. The television network offers no "TV guide or Channel guide". The channel selection is okay but you never know what you're watching or what is coming on later. The AC/heat fan runs constantly. Never stops. I asked for a wake up call but didn't get called.

The breakfast was delicious. The Comfort Inn served anything we could have wanted for breakfast, great variety of choices. The room was large; we were not tripping over each other. The bathroom was spacious. The motel was located within easy driving distance to and from the historic area, not counting for traffic. The staff in the dining room was friendly, and helpful in assisting with making waffles etc as needed. She always had a smile on her face, and she SPOKE to everyone entering the dining room. I wish I knew her name. She was wearing a name tag, but I was never in a position to read it. I should have made the effort. We stayed from 1/31 through 2/3, so this would be breakfast on 2/1 through 2/3/24.

My complaints are; it would have been nice to have had the trash emptied daily or have larger trash cans. Also better water pressure, and that it didn't take so long for the water to get hot when getting in the shower.

Great beds and plenty of space in the room. The location was perfect for getting to downtown Charleston, for example the aquarium for the evening lights. There was parking out the front of the lobby, which was free and we didn't have to worry about spaces (may be time of year). The breakfast buffet was surprisingly varied and the staff were friendly and helpful. Some reviews mentioned the warm water didn't work but it was fine, just needed to run the water in the bath and sink for a little to get the hot water through. No issues and the beds were very comfortable and the room quiet.

We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. It is located within 20 minutes walk from Downtown and on the free city bus route. The room was spacious with good services and TV coverage. The beds were large and comfortable. All the staff were polite and helpful, especially the breakfast manager Kim, a lovely lady who worked so hard to please her guests. We stayed there because the rate was reasonable and there was easy access to sightseeing.

Nothing worth commenting on. The stay was comfortable and affordable.

The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage, etc. The staff was friendly. The room was large, plenty of room. The bed was great, but need new pillows. The motel stated they had firm and soft pillows. I think the ones, which was supposed to be firm were soft. The ones supposedly soft were flat. Unable to unstop the sink after stopping it for shaving etc. The motel’s tv listings were not up to date. Most channels were unavailable, only a few were available, and most of these were sports and news channels.

The pillows needed to be replaced. See previous narrative.

The room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, the best scrambled eggs I have had on a 2-1/2 day road trip. The only drawback for me was the location. I chose "downtown" with no knowledge of Charleston. I did 't realize the distance to, for example, the visitors' center. It was about a 35 minute walk. However, I am a good walker and didn't mind the exercise. The beginning of the walk is through the medical district. I would note that there are almost no restaurants within about 6-8 blocks of the hotel, and then there were two, one offering a sitdown dinner, the other was a noisy but friendly bar/restaurant I was able to get takeout at the latter. it is also possible to order delivery. The best part of the experience at the hotel for me was the welcoming staff. Everyone was professional and friendly and helpful. Thank you.

The TV was very hard to figure out. A staff person helped me twice. One is not in Charleston to watch TV, but a little relaxation in the evening is awaied. The bathroom is small but certainly adequate. Again, I didn't mind the walking. However, I think that a traveler without a car should be aware of the distance. There are a couple of historic markers on the various streets, but the surrounding area is first hospitals and then residences. It takes a while to get to the sites one is looking forward to seeing.

Breakfast was fine. Plenty of variety and accommodating team members continuously rotating to ensure we had what we needed.

The towels in the room were quite worn, and the bedspread had pulls in it so it’s a bit worn as well. Somehow we were booked into a room designed for handicapped guests which was fine though we hope we weren’t assigned one that meant a guest who may have been in need was unable to reserve it. The bathroom grout needs a really strong cleaning, and because of the no-lip shower stall the water ran out into the floor of the bathroom.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, staff was very helpful, and location was great for our stay. Also there is a free shuttle in front of hotel if you need. Staff has schedules and information. I would stay there again. There was a few things of concerned but the staff was extremely helpful and assisted me in a timely matter. We stayed in the Queen suite and I totally enjoyed the wonderful space. Beds were very comfortable. Great stay!

Short staffed but the staff still went above and beyond.

Breakfast every morning was very convenient. Bed was co mfortable and room was clean when I arrived.

Room was never cleaned o r tended to during my four day stay. I called the front desk for clean towels, which never arrived. I finally went to housekeeping, which was across the hall from my room, and asked for clean towels. We were charged a $15 per day “resort fee”, allegedly for valet parking, which we never used.
