The location was good nice scenery looking at the harbor and the downtown City area. The bed was very comfortable.

I thought the rooms were a little bit small. I think for the price we paid it would be nice to got continental breakfast or something.

As advertised, very good breakfast. Lovely view of the city. We took advantage of the free hourly shuttle into the city and back. Sure beats parking and dealing with traffic!! Be sure to tip the friendly punctual driver.

Hotel facilities we're a bit worn and showed their age. Being right between two highways, the traffic noise was almost constant, even through the windows.

The room was large and comfortable. The decor was fitting for the hotel’s theme of paintings. The room had everything we needed and the bed and pillows were really comfortable.

We were appreciative of the cheese and wine hour but it was a tad disappointing with the location snd presentation. The dining area has no ambiance and the crackers a bit plain. I think serving it from the “pub” or in the lobby area where there is comfortable seating and interesting art on the walls would be a much better location for an evening cheese and wine. We also felt the breakfast was subpar for this quality of hotel. Again, presentation could go much further. After staying in such a well-appointed room and then walking into a small dining area with bread and bagels inside plastic drawers and the same breakfast set up and offerings as a La Quinta we were really disappointed, especially at this nightly price point. We walked away to go find breakfast down the street.

This was a cool design first off. Our floor only had 10 rooms on it. The elevators (2) worked fast, and luckily, we didn't have to wait for them long at all. From what we could tell, all rooms have an amazing view of bay, harbor, and even the marshes made for a great site to see. We spent a little time at the rooftop bar, and wow, you can see so much before exploring. We were given local discount attractions and a personal concierge that helped set us up with our tours. Now, this made it easy only having to meet the concierge and tell her what all we might want to do. She had it all arranged for us and then gave us a map of the routes of the shuddles. Filled us in on time lines so we didn't miss out. It was all over a great place that made us feel like we were welcome and felt like home.

There were only a few things I'd even say I didn't like too much. I felt it may be still understaffed in the front desk and restaurant. The times we saw it was at peak time for them anyhow, so it wasn't an inconvenience. We were told we'd get cheesecake and champagne, but they may have been out or too busy. The hotel was out of Mtdew and at breakfast, it was also sweet tea. It is hard to complain about things that didn't really discomfort us.

My husband was transferred to MUSC after a stroke and I needed a place to stay. My niece called and booked the Holiday Inn Riverside for me. The hotel is clean, comfortable and 4 minutes from MUSC and close to downtown Charleston. At checkout I was charged way more than the quoted price and spoke to the desk clerk that evening, when I rebooked as he hadn't been released yet, I was told the manager would look at it. In the morning I checked my credit card balance and the charge had not changed. I told the woman at the front desk what had occurred and she was so nice! My charges were reduced and I was given the MUSC rate plus she explained that I needed a code from the hospital (I was not told about the code originally). Kudo's to an excellent employee who helped me out on a very stressful week. I wish I had gotten her name! The only downside is that the restaurant is expensive and not very good. They have changed (reduced) the menu from what is posted online and the only other place nearby is Waffle House.

Good old hotel with the great view and the restaurant on top floor! The place could be even better if will have better maintenance. Overall, it was a great stay! The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was delicious, with a gorgeous view! But make sure it is included, and, even if it is - the staff will bring you a menu, don't order anything! Otherwise, you'll have to pay! Just ask for free breakfast! P.S. The staff was very polite and helpful!

The room could have a better ventilation (too humid) and a better blankets (it's either too heavy and warm, so I woke up in the middle of the night sweating bullets, or the sheet, under which I froze almost to icicle in the morning, lol). Also, the bathtub is a piece of Chinese plastic crap, cracking under the weight of a child. The dinner tables in the rooftop restaurant are from the real wood but covered with the "sticky" wood laquor and flimsy on the floor. The rest was ok.

we loved how close it was to MUSC hospital without being in the middle of downtown. Our daughter had surgery and it was so nice being right there. I also loved the view from the rooms. it was beautiful. The property was very clean and loved that it has a Restraunt but we didn’t get to try it unfortunately. hope to next time

It is REALLY hard getting in and out of the parking lot. There is a lane merging in right where the entrance is. You have to be very careful. There was also one working elevator and traffic was very congested. It took forever to go up and down especially with the people coming to eat at the restaurant also using it

- the location, very accesible to anything I would say - the fact that they had a free shuttle every hour to take you to the historic downtown and the last one to come back to the hotel is at 10:45 which is not bad at all honestly - every day housekeeping - the view is so nice for the sunrise too - the Dove bathroom amenities, good quality, I appreciated it

**These are minor issues, the place is really good I recommend it! - the ac is old, the smell is not that pure and it can get loud, if you are sensitive falling asleep it might be a problem - the housekepping could have changed the bedsheets too for a fresh feeling but I didn t mind it that much we were not dirty - there was a box for a tissue box but they didn t put any, I could ve used some

View was great. Had dinner at restaurant. Great view of the harbor. Great food. Good drinks. Didn't have breakfast but had free coupons and talked to a lady who said she had breakfast 2 days and was good. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

One elevator broken. That left one elevator to wait forever. I was on the 10th floor and ran the stairs a few times. Just an inconvenience. I actually needed the workout. Nothing major.

it was convenient to what I was doing. i liked that it had a reliable shuttle service back and forth to a central location in downtown. i loved the views from the restaurant. The restaurant staff was very good. The breakfast buffet was well cooked. The scrambled edds were fluffy and light, not watery. The bed and shower was very good.

It was not well cared for maintenance wise. Lots of scuff marks and carpet issues in hallways. Needed new paint and just to be freshened up. The rooms need refrigerators like the mini fridge. very inconvenient to not have those. only one smallish window in each room.
