Sonesta Select Chattanooga Hamilton Place

The hotel was very friendly and even let us check in early without charging us an extra fee. I loved the location since it's right next to a lot of food and a huge shopping mall. The rooms were pretty clean and bed was pretty comfy. They have a pool as well but I didn't get to checkout it out. The pantry is a nice alternative to a vending machine and seems pretty stocked.

I didn't like that there were no elevators and only stairs. It's not a that bad since it's only 2 floors but still after a long day of walking it's not fun. The TV also is pretty bad. I have twin toddlers and there was no kids channels. Plus the channels you had to choose from for Adults weren't the greatest either.

Very nice hotel room - clean and comfortable! Chris at reception was an extreme pleasure!! Very nice customer service going above and beyond to accommodate us. (As an older couple, we appreciated the first floor room that Chris made possible for us to stay.) The hotel was very conveniently located off the interstate and close to a great variety of shops and restaurants. Everything we needed was within a couple minutes from our hotel.

We had no complaints whatsoever.

This hotel was perfect for the two of us. we really enjoyed how it was close to the things we wanted to do (lookout mountain, rock city, etc.). There was a multitude of restaurants nearby and the room was very clean. Our shower had amazing water pressure, got hot quick, and if you forget soap or shampoo and conditioner, they have some in the shower! The side doors have key access only so we felt safe. The bed was cozy, we like a firm mattress and this was perfect. In the middle area there’s plenty of seating and a pool. The pool looked very inviting but we didn’t want to have to pack up wet swimsuits for our drive to our future destination (Panama City Beach). The coffee was great and there were two of each regular and decaf in the room. We also thought the water glasses in the room was a nice touch.

The only things we didn’t like were that there was no elevators. It was a little rough lugging all our belongings upstairs, but we are young and made it work! I do wish there was normal breakfast items, not just the cafe, but if Starbucks is your thing you will enjoy their breakfast.

We like the property.

We were disappointed that the Starbucks inside the lobby has not been opened the Sunday we left but rarely was open. The pillows and bed were so soft that we didn’t get any sleep. Also we booked through a 3rd party for early check in. We called early that morning as suggested by Sonesta. They then told us to call the 3rd party who called for us. Our 3rd party told us we had early check in at 1p. We got there and there was no early check in. I’m not sure what happened but that should have not happened.

We were very pleased with the location which was near restaurants and stores. You can park without a problem unlike our past experience in Chattanooga. The beds were very comfortable and we couldn't hear any traffic. The shower was great. The rooms were easy on the eyes. It's not brand new but definitely not in need of a remodel.

I thought $75 pet fee for an overnight was excessive. Our dog walked in, slept on his blanket and we walked him out the next am. If our kids had been with us the room would have been much dirtier! But, I was happy to have a safe, clean, quiet comfortable place to stay. The pet fee is why I rate this 9 rather than 10! PS: we will be back!

We liked the location, the swimming pool, and the room. The staff, especially Chris and Lindsey, who were exceptional. It was clean and convenient.

Sierra seemed to be in over her head when I was checking in. I had reserved a room with mobility access, and she actually asked if we really needed it. I thought it was rather rude. No eye contact or smile or real customer connection.

I like how close it was to downtown, particularly the Riverboat experience. I love that they had availability on New Year's Eve and it wasn't priced outrageously. The staff was very friendly

I didn't like how early breakfast closed, especially the morning after New Year's Eve. I feel like there could have been a little extra perk for saying with you like a brunch from 8:00 to 1:00 instead of early morning breakfast that ended at 9:00.

I liked that I could pull up in front of the main door with an overhead to keep me from getting wet when I checked in. The location of the hotel was great. It was close enough to walk to restaurants and the shopping mall. Being near everything made it easy to get around. I liked it when the lady at the front desk gave me a free package of cookies at check-in, too.

There were stains on the bath mat. Also, one very small trash can is not enough. Walls between rooms was very thin. I could hear everything clearly what the people in the next room were saying. I wish the restaurant had been open for breakfast.

I liked how each room had a sliding glass door to the outside or to the pool. It was also reassuring that all the sliding doors had attachable bars as well. It made fetching things from the car and loading up very easy!

I didn’t like how it doesn’t let you know about an extra $100 fee when you check in. It wasn’t a big deal but I would’ve liked to know before hand.

My spouse and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s unfortunate though whenever someone was in the hallway it was suuuper loud like they were talking in our room. Room stayed cold, water got hot fast and bed was comfortable. Definitely will come back next time we come to Chattanooga.

Could hear people in the hallway. Like they were in our room.
