The location, the price, the staff all were great. Very quiet inside the motel, couldn't hear many noises at all. Room was huge, plenty of outlets to charge phones & computers. Heater really worked great, had to keep turning it down, because it heated so good!

The motel was just getting renovated and there were a couple of things not quite fixed yet. The door would push open even when you pulled it shut to leave. The deadbolt would not work because door was not lined up with the hole correctly and went to take a shower and hot water didnt last long at all. Room could use more mirrors, such as a full length one. And the remote was missing the battery cover. Took it to the front desk, just to make sure they knew we didnt do it. She attempted to find another one, but when couldn't, we just went withthe remote we had, which was not a problem.

The rooms were being renovated, but it looked really nice. The best thing was the people behind the counter. Met two of their staff and had a really nice convo with both. Was like friends were welcoming us. Everything was clean, wifi was okay.

The breakfast was temporarily not available so they offered a replacement instead. However, I take it as a positive that they managed to find a solution. Should be fixed by now anyway!

The staff was very kind and helpful. The room first assigned to us smelled of cigarette smoke, so I went back and asked for a non-smoking room. The desk clerk kindly switched us to a new room that did not smell of cigarettes. The room was clean.

My husband and I had stayed here several years ago. It was not fancy, but very clean. We stayed in a room inside the hotel. I was not aware there were rooms that opened to the outside, which is what we were assigned this time. I'd rather not stay in a room that opens to the outside. Also, the breakfast is mainly carbohydrates. There were egg and cheese burritos available to heat in the microwave. We had a bite of one of those, but it wasn't the best.

Everything was clean, bed was comfortable. Location was quiet throughout the night. The shower was awesome!!

Room was booked about one month prior to arrival, king room. When we arrived to check in we were told they had no king rooms left. Told we could get a double queen room. Asked if it would be discounted? We were told they were the same price. Asked for refund and was told to go thru booking.com for a refund. We stayed cause just didn't want to try and find another place to stay. Don't need to overbooked rooms! This is the only issue that I had.

The room was recently remodeled, very nice. The bed was a comfortable, firm spring mattress. The room was gently lighted at night by the lights on the light switches. First floor rooms had parking outside the room. Because of remodeling, breakfast was limited for our stay. It was a good value for an overnight stay.

My husband would have preferred a softer mattress and room that was dark.

We have stayed here *at least* half a dozen times over the years. It's been a quick stop for sleep on our way home to Florida, and it's always clean and comfortable. During our most recent stay, the room we'd stayed at had just been renovated. It was lovely and nicely refreshed, and it made our stay even more welcome. It was nice to see a property that had gone above and beyond in its rooms during this pandemic time while so many others seem to let their standards slide. Though the hallways were still clearly under renovation and had construction materials about, it didn't bother us any - we spend our time in the room.

The USB outlets! Haha. While this might not be a huge deal to some, the fancy new light switch/outlet combos they put in have a very, very bright white night-light that shine out the top of the outlet at all times. Convenient for some, except for those very sensitive to light while sleeping! I actually propped my room key up against the light to block it as best I could.

They are going under some renovations and I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was beautiful!! I was thoroughly surprised when I got upstairs and opened my door! Just beautiful!

From the outside and the lobby, it still looks like a “shabby” or “run down” hotel. I am sure they are going to renovate all of it, but it definitely needs some freshening up like they did to the upstairs!

Everything was great except (see below). Checkin, rooms and checkout all without difficulty.

The breakfast was not good. I know whoever cooked was trying, but the gravy was too thick and cold. Biscuits were cold. Not sure what else was supposed to be hot but nothing else available. Did not do the pancakes so do not know about them. Other options were available but chose not to eat them.

When checking in the CSR, Curt, was friendly and professional. When I tried the keycard on the room door the door did not respond. He checked several times himself and when it didn't respond, he quickly provided an alternate room. The room has recently been upgraded. I really like the recessed lighting behind the panel as it kept the light from being bright. The beds were very comfortable and the new showers are really very nice. Douglas Inn has done a great job on their upgrades.
