Comfort Inn Memphis Downtown

The staff was incredible. they were very kind and extremely helpful. They have an awesome breakfast with eggs and bacon and sausage and waffles which is wonderful because I am diabetic and I had something there to eat and my husband loved the waffles. We had sent a note through the internet for a possible handicapped room and we got one which was extremely nice. The staff helped me each morning to get my husband out of the hotel and across the first road so we could walk to the convention center which was really beyond what Their job was but they were glad to do it. The room was very clean with the bathroom and the bed and the bed was very comfortable.

The rooms are a little older so they could use some sprucing up. We got a non-smoking room but it smelled a little musty like it had been smoked in before but not enough to bother us to move. I think it was mainly the carpet.

The place was perfectly located, with a great view of the Mississippi River. The accommodations exceeded expectations. Very inexpensive. I've paid much more for accommodations this nice in big cities. It was close to so many things. The staff was amazing. They felt like family by the end of the stay.

I don't know how you can improve on this. The only wrinkle was available parking. The parking garage is super small. There were always available spots, but the issue was how some of the guests parked. Some parked on or even over the lines, making it impossible to jam my pickup truck into a spot.

Polite and efficient staff, excellent breakfast - eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices, tea, biscuits and gravy, cereals, bagels and bread, more. Comfortable beds, great view of Mississippi River, lots of hot water for shower. Underground parking for $12 per night. Great location - a block from downtown trolley and within walking distance to Beale Street. Easy freeway access.

Could use some updating. People smoked near elevators in underground parking.

Spacious, comfortable room with a great view over the river. Secure underground parking and an easy walk to the attractions of Beale Street. Keener pricing than much of the competition.

One of the two lifts was out of order for most of our stay and the second one broke down too - but was fortunately repaired by the time we came to return to our 11th-floor room. Buffet breakfast was OK, but repeatedly suffered from outages of different foodstuffs.

The staff at this hotel are unlike any I've ever experienced and I've traveled all over the world. They go above and beyond for you and they do it with a genuine smile. I wish I could take all of them and hire them for my company because they were that good. They were so kind and so accommodating. The location was Prime. The secure parking was even better. We just loved our experience here and I have to say it was because of the staff!

The only thing that I didn't like was on the ground floor they had the queen beds and as you go higher up there's only full beds in the room so that was a bit of a bummer but in the big scheme of things it was nothing.

The view from our 12th floor room was incredible, over the Mississippi and the bridges. The train rumbling by in the night just added to the atmosphere. Room was comfortable and large, everything worked pretty much, and the staff and other guests were all friendly. Car park was a really handy facility.

Nothing too much. The breakfast area got crowded at times, it's not laid out very well so it doesn't flow very easily. The breakfast itself was fine and free so no problems there.

We requested a view of the Mississippi River bridge and it didn’t disappoint. It was beautiful at night.

The hot water was out in the evening, overnight and early morning due to the boiler not working. I took two cold showers but they were able to get it fixed so my husband had a nice, hot shower. I was also not a fan of the pool being closed but there was some issue with it. I wanted to have a night swim from the 9th floor overlooking the bridge.

Was fine except for the billing errors.

I booked on my phone & it quoted a total charge of $385. It did not state that there would be an additional fee of $24 for parking. I've never stayed at a hotel that charged for parking and should have been advised of this as I would have chosen another hotel. I also did not receive my AARP discount as with my stay with Comfort in Crossville on 8/25/22. When I reviewed my bill I went to the clerk & she said she could not change it. I will contact Choice corporate headquarters as I should get a credit on my card for these 2 issues.

The staff was very friendly and helpful,the location was near everything I wanted to see and the trolleys are fantastic 👌 very good breakfast start the day 😀 and again the staff from the check in to the cleaning crew and the cooking staff are excellent .Memphis is one of the friendliest towns I've ever visited.

Absolutely nothing.

The staff was supremely helpful. We reached so late post midnight, but there was soemone waiting for us. We requested a higher floor room because we had read in the reviews that there is more noise on the lower floors, and they gave us a room on the 14th floor. We actually had a river view in the room! The room was spacious. I absolutely loved the breakfast spread, they had a combination of hot breakfast (even for me as a vegetarian) and fruits, as well as a waffle maker! Since we had an extremely early flight to catch, we asked them if they had any suggestions, and they recommended a cab driver who they found reliable - And he came to pick us up right on time at 415am and dropped us off safely. The rooms and the corridors were really clean, so i'm not sure what people were talking about. It is walking distance from Beale street and right across Mud park. I would absolutely stay here again.
