Little America Hotel Salt Lake City

I liked the room and the entire property, the restaurants and their staff (especially Kim, absolutely adorable: friendly, welcoming and professional). The lady at the pool is also very nice and friendly, very dedicated to her work.

I spent 2 separate nights at Little America Hotel. My first time checking in the staff at the reception were a bit rude and not very friendly. They did not pay attention to my needs and gave me the feeling they wanted to expedite the process even if there weren't too many people waiting. I had the feeling the first time I checked in that the staff at the reception were biased and judgemental, not suitable for customer relations. Second time it was much better, I have no complaints.

It was very very clean, it looked to be very expressive. The price we paid was right in our price range. The location was right in the middle of everything, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Bring your own pillows, they really need to replace the pillows in the rooms. The shower head's need to be more water saving, with a water shortage, we felt guilty. No way to lower the flow.

If you’re going to stay in the main building then this location is perfect. Clean, upscale (although decor is a bit more old/traditional), and safe. The rooms were very big and everything including bedding was nice, classy, and comfortable.

The outdoor motel conversion where you get to enter directly from the courtyard did not feel as safe since there was no security or front desk to go through before entering the rooms. This section of the hotel rooms were not the same quality as the upscale building and you wish they would update it more to match.

Comfortable spacious rooms right in the middle of downtown SLC. TRAX stop right outside for easy transit. Very clean rooms with great AC. Lot's of security and someone always available at the desk - even in the middle of the night. So felt very safe. I was shocked how affordable it was for such a nice hotel. The pools are both great and the hot tubs are amazing. Staff was all super friendly. I travel to SLC often and will stay here from now on.

The shower was stuck to scalding hot, I didn't call maintenance as I was there for only one day and was away at a funeral, but other than that it was great.

After spending 9 days in and around Yellowstone and Tetons, this was our best hotel where I stayed. So when we got to this hotel, it was like being treated like royalty. Spacious room, TV, spacious bathroom, spotless clean, great restaurants with excellent food. Staff very friendly, accommodating, and convenient location to downtown Salt Lake activities and sights. Everything was more than satisfactory.

The room was clean but definitely dated. It looked like the Little got the Grand's hand-me-downs. Still it was comfortable. The young ladies who checked me in were very nice and helpful. Housekeeping was always very nice. Parking was also easy. Staff at the coffee shop restaurant are always VEY nice.

The mirrors in places that just felt weird. The toilet faced the mirror in the bathroom. Also the mirror over the desk which was too high for me to work on comfortably made it awkward as well. Only being one coffee bar and often one employee in the morning. I know a lot of people who live in SLC may not drink coffee but a lot of us are there for business who do. I found that I had to plan to leave early to go to RawBean across the way. The Grand's coffee place is also very underwhelming.

I love the grounds, the lobby, and usually the rooms. This is an older facility that they keep up pretty well. I would stay there again.

I love this hotel and all little Americans. This room had a few maintenance issues where the shower water adjustment was broken. We did not receive any washcloths. Sliding closet doors were off the track and we were not having to fix them ourselves.. But we let the front desk know and they took care of it right away. We were only there one night so it was no big deal

Nothing to do with the hotel, but we were disappointed at the fact that the homeless are taking over the Public Library - you can't walk around and use the facilities, they sitting all over. Using the tables and chairs to eat and pack/unpack their suitcases

The structure and the services are great, and the staff was super nice! I enjoyed reading in front of the fireplace in the hall and swimming in the outside pool! The TRAX line is pretty close, so you can start exploring the city pretty easily from here.

I chose this place because of its vicinity to the bus/train station, but being myself more of an hostel type of person I found it a little bit too much expensive. With that said, the services and the place itself still rocks - so the prize is definitely understendable!

This is a huge hotel, affiliated with an ultra luxury hotel next door. The rooms are large and very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the common areas are very attractive, almost posh. At least on a holiday weekend, it was a terrific value.

The hotel lacks some of the amenities ones gets in chain motels: breakfast, fridge in room. It's several blocks to Temple Square but--warning to Easterners--blocks in Salt Lake are long.
