I came to Metropolitan Inn because Motel 6 did not honor my reservation. Motel 6 left me and my family on the street at 1am looking for a hotel, even though my stay was paid in advance 2 weeks before. I found Metropolitan Inn nearby and the receptionist was very kind and polite and provided a room for us to spend the night. The next day I booked 2 weeks though Booking.com and we had a very good time. The hotel is located near everything of interest in SLC, train station, trax, bus, restaurants, attractions, etc. The price was good and the staff was amazing always willing to help.

Location was excellent for the Exhibition Centre. The beds were really comfy. It had recently had a paint over so the rooms looked ok. Coffee machine was available in the room.

Our room had a water tank above us and through the night it kept re filling up which was annoying. I imagine this will not effect other rooms we were in 220. They had a swimming pool but it was closed and looked like it needed a make over. They also used to serve breakfast a few years ago but that has all gone, so you have to go out for breakfast, I think they could of had a grab & go set up to take back to your rooms.

I repeat 3 times staying in this hotel by booking thru agoda and booking.com. the reason we stay three times because we have event in salt lake city. We stay for a night before check in our sponsored hotel. Then when the event finish, we check in again another night before start our road trip. And one night for thurs time before fly back to my country. My comment: All facilities good. Coffee maker not so clean. Room was ok and clean. Bed comfy n big. Anyway i like this hotel because worth service and value for money

A lamp is not so clear. The room is a bit dark. But still ok. Room 316 has a problem with the flush. Room 204 and room 206 is ok and good.

The staff was kind and worked with us to resolve an issue. We were driving in very late and they almost weren't going to make it before the checkin cut off. The guy at the front desk was nice enough to wait for us. The a/c was 10/10. Felt so good in the 100 degree weather. The restaurants nearby are great. There are so many great hole in the wall places to eat. There price was very fair.

There were small spiders in the restroom. The came out of the drain and cracks in the tile. The celiing had lots of dust bunnies. The area felt too unsafe to explore. There was a 7/11 store a block or two away that I wanted to walk to but it didn't feel safe with homeless people walking around like zombies.

Everything is in walking distance or you find the Trax train near by. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay..both were quite comfortable and they have optlions depending what your tastes or budget allow. Laundry facilities on grounds and the staff seem to anticipate your needs and are so friendly with any questions you may have. I plan to stay here again on my next visit to SLC...for an Inn/hotel..a true diamond in the ruff.

The room had nice wall art, was spacious, was clean enough, it had a refrig and microwave, the air conditioner worked well and wasn’t noisy, i didn’t hear noise from other guests, the wooden table was unique and beautiful as a solid work with inlays. I slept very well. The tiled shower was beautiful and worked well. There was a coffee maker with decaf and regular coffee. The bathroom was clean by my standards.

There were signs all over about ‘no visitors unless they register’ so I wondered about what kind of hotel this was. There only seemed to be elevator access to the second floor as i couldn’t get the card key to work to open the door to the stairwell. The card key for the door was very difficult to operate. On inspection i found a plastic cup under the edge of the bed from a previous guest, though it was well out of the way. I really did not like the requirement to have to put down a $100 deposit.

We chose this location for its proximity to the airport. The late night staff were friendly and helpful during check-in. The bed was very comfortable and we had a selection of pillows. The facilities were clean and functional.

The rooms were outdoor access and had potential for someone off the street to disturb you. The upper floors were reached by a tiny elevator that, by appearances, seemed sketchy. It was functional, though, and rode fine.

The Pakistani guy at reception was really nice. We held enthusiastic conversations about football (soccer) and we found out that we are supporters of the same Spanish team. Sorry, I don't remember his name (the guy, not he team...)

Some coffee and vending machines would be useful but there is a gas station just behind that fixes the problem.

The hotel is really close to the downtown and one of the train's stops. It was clean and comfortable. The lady in the reception didn't understand my English so well but she managed to process my checkin. I was afraid because the hotel had a really bad reviews but everything was fine.

It was a confusion with the room type but it was more a Booking issue than the hotel. In the end, the receptionist helped us with it.

Metropolitan Inn looks like a motel from the outside but is nicely furnished and accommodated on the inside like a hotel. I guess that's why they choose to call it an inn. Rooms have both a small fridge and a microwave oven and room rate is a good bargain on the whole.

My only complaint is that they did not provide an alarm clock so wake up calls are needed (or app your phone).
