I stayed there for 3 nights for the DC Pride Weekend. The hotel has a lot of areas to chill and relax like lounges and outside sitting area, even thinking it doesn't have a pool. The continental breakfast was lovely, I love the yogurt and fruit options they had, I like the fresh blueberries and blackberries! They had couple fruit and juice options. They have tea and coffee, wich is standard, but I particularly love that they also had decaf, since I don't drink caffeinated (regular) coffee at home. There's also bagels, slices of bread and different flavor cakes which was delicious, also the options of butter, jams and spreads for your bagel, and scrambled eggs, little breakfast potatoes and bacon. The breakfast room is pretty and clean, the staff is sooo sweet. When you check-in the receptionist gives you a little envelope containing 2 magnetic key room cards and the tickets for the free breakfast for whatever amount of days you're staying. You give the tickets to a staff member in the breakfast room entrance. The breakfast time is 7 AM to 10 AM on weekdays and till 11 AM on the weekends. During my stay I got late for breakfast by couple minutes but they still allowed me in to get stuff to take out to my room, which was sooo nice of them. Everyone from the reception to the breakfast staff is really sweet, always smiling and helpful. Another thing that happened during my stay was that one of the days I got in the breakfast room holding my little envelope with my tickets and cards but somehow I managed to lost it somewhere in there, but they allowed me to go, I didn't had to pay for that, and I just told them at the reception and they gave me another card. The hotel have a gym but I didn't got to use it during my stay. There's also vending machines with snacks, sodas and water, and they also have a little café and snacks available to buy.
It doesn't have a pool, which would be nice but it's not a big deal.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly. There’s a Capitol Bikes kiosk at the entrance of the university for biking around town. When available, the campus shuttle to/from Union Station is a helpful touch.
Never having been in DC before, this was a little further out of town center than I realized. Because of its location (also on the University campus), it took Uber approx 15mins or more to arrive. This was my ignorance and not the fault of the hotel, just writing as a precaution for anyone that wants to be able to get up and go (if you are without your own transportation).

Clean, quiet, comftorable beds, Great big room
Not such a big dislike but its like a campus and you have to walk for 5-6 minutes to enter/exit. Could be frustrating when you are tired and with luggage but not that bad.

it was a very good experience!!!! I think it is one of the best examples : price =quality Room was perfectly clean There were all necessary facilities Very quiet and warm. Very comfortable beds Enough space for three people. The parking is not so far away from the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. There is a building with a lot of empty space for your car. It is very important in Washington DC availability of parking.
A little bit old lobby. But it is not a big deal.

First, the staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome and appreciated. The breakfast was very good, with both cold and hot options, and lots of fresh fruit. The conference center/hotel is on a college campus, but was quiet and I enjoyed the energy of the conference attendees. The Union Market is very close (easy walking distance) and several breweries and restaurants nearby. The metro is also close by and convenient.

Updated rooms/hotel, very clean and incredibly friendly staff. Helped anytime we had a question and even pointed us in the right direction for delivery late night after a concert. Good people, nice place. Slept great, very quiet at night. Off the beaten path so not much traffic noise.
While I understand it was listed for 4pm checkin...there was not much budging on that. So we waited. Seemed to have an issue with housekeeping services. Not sure if that was a one time thing or not, but it was a Monday, didn't seem too busy and thought we could have gotten a room a little sooner. ONCE again it was posted as a 4pm check in, so we in the end did understand. We stayed one night Monday into Tuesday and I was surprised by the daily $45 parking fee (plus tax to $53.10) but at that point, not much we could do about it.

I love that it is on Gallaudet campus and shows a lot of history of the school
I didn’t like there was no microwave even for shared use. We were told by the front desk that the second floor contained a microwave but was not for “public use” even though I was guest for 4 days I was told that communal microwave was for VIP guests only. Kinda sucked not having access to something as simple as a microwave

This was my second stay and I actually enjoyed the overall feel of the location on campus and off in that particular area. There is access to food & other forms of transportation within minutes of the hotel. The reception area of the hotel is welcoming enough and clean upon arrival both times that I was there. The second visit there was a Manager, Andre Antoine that really exemplified what hospitality is about. There were a few challenges with checking in and he was hands on and assisting guests in whatever manner he could with a genuine & authentic delivery of customer service. Thank You!
The front desk staff were cordial enough, however customer service overall could be more consistent. There is not a lot of staff to begin with, however, some appear to be customer service oriented and others, not so much.

we felt safe in such a big city that we didn’t know. the staff was very polite and welcoming.
the breakfast was over priced for continental and there were not many options so we chose to opt out. the price was fair for four nights in a good hotel but the options they had for food did not make it worth paying the $16 for muffins / fruit and juice, this is something the hotel should offer for free for paying guest because the conference they had there they offered it to those guests for free. also there are no “views” with the rooms like stated previously, if that is something you are looking for this is not the place. we didn’t care if we were looking at a brick wall, the hotel was safe, clean and welcoming.
