Responsive staff, even when we asked for things it turned out we didn’t need. Good value overall for the money. Location is pretty convenient, especially if you can understand a somewhat confusing Washington DC bus schedule.

A little more information about parking options before arrival would be very helpful. The place is clean, but a little worn — not terrible, but fixtures and furniture was showing signs of age in Summer 2023. For those looking at the less expensive options here, know that a few are basement level. I’m not sure how the photos had so much natural-looking light, but our place was pretty dim!

The lack of onsite staff and online check in caused some issues, especially as I didn't have access to my phone or email while there. My partner had those but hadn't been the one to book. Issues were resolved but took extra time and inconvenience. Generally we were very pleased with the modern, clean room that was well equipped. The room was nice and mostly quiet. As a basement suite we heard walking and toilet flushes from the room above. Also there was a beeping which we initially thought indicated battery change needed for the smoke detector. After 2 nights of that, we found a way to reach the smoke detector but temporarily removing the battery didn't stop the beeping. Further problem solving determined it was the dishwasher. The location was within long walking distances of most places we went. I would recommend it to others if they know before booking about the processes to check in and resolve issues.

Very cozy and well equipped. Fantastic location as well convenient to many desired and popular destinations. Liked the advanced check in process so that on arrival day you have everything you need and can go straight to the property and unit. No time consuming counter check-in required.

WIFI problems, slow streaming, and later completely went out Friday Night. Didn't get back until Saturday. Bathtub water stopper does not work so a Shower is the only option. No stopper/plug for the kitchen sink which is needed when washing dishes. The clothes dryer is very loud (for such a small machine). It's better to start a drying cycle when you know that you are going to be gone for a while, thus you won't have to tolerate the excessive noise. Absent those things which can be corrected quickly by property Management, this is a fabulous, nice Cozy place to stay. Neighborhood is safe and has allot of the shops, stores and Restaurants nearbye often sought after, many of which are even a short walking distance away.

The fully furnished apartment was awesome! I was in town for 10 days and this place was ideal. The bed was very comfortable and all the linens were really clean. There was everything you need for a long business trip: iron + full size board, huge closet, washer/dryer, cooking supplies, coffee and filters, assorted teas, an oven/range/microwave... It was like I was living on Capitol Hill again in my own place with all the ammenities I'd need. I had no trouble with the app. The whole process was easy to get into my room and the building. I did read all their instructions before I left though so I think some ppl might have just skimmed it and not had an easy time. Follow the directions and you'll be good. I am a Sonder fan!

The temperature control never allowed me to put the a/c on or adjust the fan. I slept with the windows open when it got unseasonably cold to get the room down to 72 degrees from 76. I followed all the directions and it still wouldn't turn on. Also, I think the cleaning staff could do a deep clean on the room itself for things like the baseboards, walls, in the corners, under the bed, etc. The shower/bathtub, glassware, cutlery, fridge and kitchen were *spotless* though and I have no complaints for cleanliness. It just could use some deep cleaning for the hard to reach spots.

Sonder is a format somewhere between a hotel without staff and a real AirBnB. Travellers should be aware of that. Luckily the information provided through email and app made that things worked out well. The Sonder Callisto provided me with a large and stylish appartment in a calm and well located neighbourhood for the purpose of my trip on Capitol Hill. I enjoyed the presence of an ironing board and iron and the comfy sofa.

A few minor reparations (the bathroom closet's handle) and a bit of paint would have made things even better. Also, a sharp knive to cut some bread was lacking in the kitchen. Compared to the size of the appartment, which could easily host 3 people, the table was a bit small.

Loved that we were right across the street from the Naval yard and heard the Star-Spangled Banner at 8 am and the at the end of the day Revelry's trumpet, brought chills. We drove in with a rental car from Jersey after a cruise and parking was easier than shared. The location wasn't too far from the mall and we Ubered which was about 9 dollars each way. We were not there long enough to figure out the metro. The property was clean, safe, and priced really well. With a small issue, they came right up and fixed it. Had a huge closet, and a kitchen fully stocked with coffee and tea. Great to take leftovers back and heat them up for the next day.

Had a few walls that were dirty but the unit itself was clean.

Very clean and well equipped studio. It was just what we needed as our 2 day stopover in DC. Laundry set came handy and it was very nice that the washing capsules were provided. We also had an opportunity to use the free luggage storage. Location is great - there is public transport literally just outside the building, as well as city bikes and scooters. Good food and beer just round the corner.

We booked well in advance and so we received emails with notification like gazzilion times. The email bot needs to chill ;-)

we loved the location it was easy to access public transportation and there was plenty of restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. the apt was easy to get into with its keyless entry. the studio apt was compact with a full kitchen, king size bed and best of all it had a washer and dryer, after a sweaty day of touring DC having a place to wash clothes was an added bonus.

the TV was operated via comcast and we were not able to sync our device to the TV so we didn't have it during our stay. this was a minor inconvenience but it would have been nice to have a TV

The location in the DC area was perfect. Just what I expected. The room was clean and simple. I was completely happy and my son, who was the reason I was in DC, will probably use Sonder on his next trip to Chicago.

The Customer service needs to be improved. I wanted to extend my stay by one day and it took about 10 calls 15 emails and high levels of stress and anxiety for me. The server was down and none of the CSR's knew that or could work around it. I was told that i would have an early check in but that was cancelled the same day. I went to the basement to store my bags until 4 but could not find the racks. I had to give my bags to my son but he had to work. When I finally got into my room my tv was not on the comcast list so I had no access after my night out. Its to bad that after an excellent start to my vacation it had to end on such a bad note.
