The location on the canal was awesome and a great place to walk. The room I was in had lots of stairs, but it was clean and comfortable. There was a desk in front of the window, so I could see the canal while I was working, which was cool. Location was great, very walkable to restaurants and shopping. They even had an umbrella in the room that I could use-and I was grateful for it, because it rained every day of my stay. Staff was really friendly and accommodating.

Distance from the airport--there isn't a great way to get to the Georgetown area because buses are kind of limited, and there's no nearby Metro station. To Uber from the Dulles to the hotel was pretty expensive. This isn't the hotel's fault, just something that you might want to plan for. I did not have a car on this trip, so I had planned to do a lot of walking, but FYI the hotel doesn't have parking available.

I like best the cleanliness of the 2 rooms I stayed in for a total of 4 nights. Praise to Maria ! I would also like to commend Alexis the manager for her assistance with my move from the 1st room for the 1st 2 nights to my 2nd room for the next 2 nights. I had 2 room types for my 3rd and 4th nights and that would have involved a lot of movement of my large luggages from room to room. Alexis’ assistance afforded me a seamless move. The location was very convenient for my visit to DC

None. Given that it is a historic property in prime location, the number and sizes of rooms makes sense. In fact, I think it is amazing that each room has its own ensuite bath/shower toilet!

The location is great, the spot has no parking do not rent a car. Overall at night it was quiet but by early am the honking of the cars. Not a problem for us but might be for some. It is ahistorical house so it creeks and it is old. The area is secure, plenty of light inside the AC was amazing

The layout is confusing, there was no explanation of where things were located or what you could do. The wifi was spotty even if you connected to the three different ones it would drop. Work wifi not suitable.

I stayed here for a weekend away alone to go see a performance at The Kennedy Center. The inn was lovely. Easy to get to from the train station by taxi, and it was a short walk to the Kennedy Center. I arrived the weekend after Halloween and they were putting up Christmas lights outside of the hotel. This was a nice touch to my already nice view of the canal. Room and bathroom were spotless and checkin at the kiosk was very easy.

Nothing could have been better about the hotel. I did find Georgetown to be a lot quieter than in the past. It was hard to find a little market to grab snacks on Friday night, but I easily located one on Saturday. To make up for that though, I had a great dinner at the restaurant two doors down from the hotel. There were at least 5 nice restaurants on that little block alone.

Great location! Good for solo&couples. The room was not big but It was perfect for me, it was very cozy. It had all the basic things you need (water, shampoo, hair dryer, TV, umbrella..) I stayed in#5 with a canal view, very nice and quiet. +Bed with memory foam mattress, good towels in bathroom. +Very Clean +Easy self check-in and check-out. +Kitchen on the lower floor was a great bonus. +Italian restaurant across the street has high quality Tiramisu.

At the beginning the AC didn’t want to switch on heating mode, but after ~15 minutes it worked. It needed some time to think I guess :))

Didn't see much staff but if there were any needs or issues, we got immediate attention with a phone call to the manager. Loved the location. The room was small but very clean. There was a common kitchen with coffee, tea and condiments available 24/7 and a fridge with room numbered bins for your personal eatables. The location was fantastic. overlooking the canal, shops, restaurants and transit close by. Great stay !

Hard time figuring out the Metro system. did a lot of unnecessary walking. Maybe some better info and maps available.

Nice location on the canal. It was clean ( apart from a few unexpected cobwebs and spiders on the balcony!) The bed was comfy. It felt secure. Our first time with self-check-in, but all went well. We did need to use our mobile phone flashlight, so make sure your batteries are still charged if checking in at night.

The clean kitchen ( in the basement) was well stocked with coffee and milk, but it is quite difficult to carry up cups of coffee to the second floor as the stairs are steep, and you have to open security doors on the way. A small inconvenience, as we only stayed one night after a transcontinental flight.

Fantastic location in Georgetown, close to numerous bars and restaurants and shops. We walked to the monuments which takes about 40 minutes along the river. Access isn't that easy to Georgetown but you can walk to Foggy Bottom metro in about 10 minutes from the Inn and from there you can get to the Smithsonian museums and the mall. Also the Circulator bus is frequent and cheap! Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable in a quiet spot. Tea and coffee and kitchen facilities available for guests downstairs which was great.

Nothing!

The room was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen facilities were also very clean and stocked with ice and coffee for the guests. Jacy, the manager, was very friendly, accommodating, and patient, especially when my room pass code did not work properly and I had to call her several times for assistance. We really appreciated that the Inn accommodates bicycle riders. It is conveniently located next to the C & O Canal Tow Path and Bicycle Trail. Thank you!

Overall the accomodations were perfect for our needs. The only issue was that shower water in room (Lock) #7 ran very slowly and changed from very hot to cold, and back again every 2 to 3 minutes. It made it difficult to take a shower. I'm sure it will be fixed by the next time we go there.

Excellent location right next to Tue historic canal. We also liked the history of the building.

We would have liked if there was a mini fridge in the room. But there was a nice big fridge in a shared kitchen, so we managed.
