This hotel is beautiful and serene, and our double room was very comfortable and spacious and well-soundproofed from outside noise and adjacent rooms. Bathroom and shower were great. Decor was updated and tasteful. Foggy Bottom is a lovely and quiet neighborhood, walkable to restaurants and the metro without feeling touristy or too in the thick of things.

I was traveling with my 11-year-old and was hoping to use the pool with him. The pool is only a lane pool, meant for exercise and not family recreation, and you need to make a reservation. We had plenty to do in DC and so it wasn't a big deal, but heads up to families for whom this might be important.

The hotel is lovely, the location great, a quick walk to Georgetown and an easy walk to Smithsonian. Our room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.

The Balance Gym affiliated with this hotel was a real disappointment. It's pool was advertised as a "large indoor lap pool, largest in D.C." Well, that is a bit of a hyperbole. The pool is NOT large. Yes, it is a lap pool, there are 2 lanes, but it is too short for serious swimmers. The gym has a lot of equipment, but it is so crowded and the machines so close to each other that it looked really uninviting and unpleasant, as well as unsafe in terms of covid and social distancing. We chose this hotel because of the supposed superior gym, which we thought we would use, but we did NOT use the gym at all, it was unappealing.

location was great. Beautiful hotel, very nice room. comfortable and spacious. comfy beds. sparkling clean.

hot water wasn’t hot enough, very hard to get the shower to turn on. wait staff at lounge are very nice but so so so slow. you’ll be there 20 mins before anyone even acknowledges you. another 20 mins at least before your first drink arrives. twice as long to get the bill. on our last night we almost just left because we could not get our server to bring us the bill.

Amazing location overall, just some small things I noticed, but they didn't make or break my experience. Rooms are very clean with awesome natural light throughout the property (except meeting spaces). The lobby area and courtyard is a great spaces to meet someone.

Showers are outdated. Room service was hard to connect to and Juniper restaurant had no greeters at noon when it was supposed to be open at 11 am. I waited until I ended up at the hotel across the street to eat.

The Lobby & Bar area was wonderful, as was the courtyard during the day. Rooms very clean, staff friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is perfect, right on the corner of M street and walkable to many stores, restaurants, coffee shops.

The bathroom, for the price point I would expect glass shower enclosures, not a curtain and the bathroom lighting was very dim.

Bar staff were excellent. KC Jawad and Sunil provided a very friendly and professional service. The trainee manager Lars was very well informed and helpful.

There should be no suggestive of paying for WiFi in a hotel regardless of loyalty membership. It is a given for social and business engagements and should not be levied as an extra. $56 per night parking is very excessive. Parking would be included in most European hotels.

Fantastic location and facilities for a family!

We went to the pool on Saturday at the end of the day and were greeted by a very grumpy gym/pool receptionist. There were no towels and when asked if we could get some .. without looking up as she was far too busy on her phone… we were told there were none as they were in the wash. Very disappointing given the quality of the hotel. it wouldn’t have taken much to engage with the customer …

One of our beds was a tad harder than the other but overall a perfect experience & will stay here again. Room service was great, restaurant was fantastic, laundry service exceeded expectations & we were not able to stream on our TV but they did send maintenance to try & help but neither of us were tech savvy but they did try. It was overall a perfect stay.

great spacious. airy well lit room with friendly helpful staff. very clean and comfortable. The gym is not a normal little hotel gym - it’s actually a professional gym with so many options, rooms and facilities which is built onto the hotel. Even has a nice little lap pool and sauna and steam as well. Great location to easily walk to GWU and capitol/Whitehouse

The TV didn’t play half the channels or allow YouTube to be Chromecast. No complimentary water in rooms, you had to call down. No minibar, you had to call down. minibar stops for spirits at 11pm but you they will send up a beer.

location is great, the staff was good, the hotel lobby and outdoor space were really nice.

I wish they had a gym that was open 24 hours but they have a gym that is run by and outside entity and the gym closes early. Our suit did not have a lot of light. there was no window in the bedroom, and the window we had in the living room area was facing the courtyard and got very little light.
