The view was amazing The staff was always accommodating The cleanliness of the room

-The $35.00 pp breakfast buffet. -The $58.00 a day to park our motorcycle when we didn't even use a space. -No microwave. -Tiny pods for coffee that didn't even make a full 8oz cup. And you only received two pods. -One bath robe and one pair of slippers when there were two people in the room. -No information in your room about any restaurants, maps or attractions that you could visit. When you have people that are coming from out of town this is important. -No pen or pad -No bible I think for almost 1500.00 for three nights was a little over the top.

The Watergate is really a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable with a pretty view of the river. The amenities were really nice, including the pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Breakfast was good. Decor was updated and fashionable.

While a couple of the employees (one woman at the front desk and the porters) were friendly, the overall feel from the staff was cool, remote, and snooty. I can't account for this truly unacceptable lack of hospitality.

The property is beautiful, I recommend the breakfast package which will be at the Kingsbird restaurant. Concierge were a delight, very nice and friendly welcome. The front desk agents were very accommodating and friendly! Our room was nice, it was a bit small but by the time we returned to the hotel from an event I was too tired to switch rooms. The host at the Kingsbird restaurant was friendly, our waiter Brian was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. must try the chicken and waffles or the New Yorker! the Spa and amenities are nice as well. From our overall stay the concierge takes the win!

incredible helpful staff, beautiful room with a fantastic view. Valet service was top notch and took great care of my car. Hotel location is perfect for what i needed.

The ramp you drive up going up to the hotel is too steep for my low car, some scraping happened that was unavoidable. My first room had a musty scent and there were parts of the carpet that was still wet, presumably from some type of cleaning. My second room was much better though and didn't suffer from any smell/odor. Dissapoined to learn that the main restaurant was closed on sundays and mondays, which were the days i stayed. Would have loved to try it out. The whiskey bar was nice but the seating is much too uncomfortable to eat a meal.

I specifically booked and wanted a river view room and received a room that faced buildings. if you broke your neck and looked to the far right, you could see a bit of the river but definitely disappointed with the “river view” The pool closed at 9p. I understand it’s standard for pools to have hours in most places but by the time I would get back to the hotel and settled, I only had maybe 30 minutes to enjoy the pool before closing

Only one thing. Next Whiskey Bar was not a great hotel bar and the cocktails were not worth the 25 bucks. Yes, nice hotels can charge that much but the drinks have to be perfect. And they were merely OK. We were going to go to the rooftop bar, but they closed it for bad weather. I guess in that location the view sort of justifies the prices, but let’s just bring the bar service up to the level of a first class hotel. Otherwise it was a great stay!!!!!

We had tickets to "Hamilton" at the Kennedy Center next door so booked the Watergate so we could walk to the performance. We drove to DC and the parking garage between the hotel and the theater was convenient and inexpensive. The hotel is lovely and convenient, plus it was the 50th anniversary of the Nixon Watergate break-in at the hotel, so it was historic. Our 11th floor room had a view of the Potomac, a bonus surprise! We loved the outdoor spaces to sit and have drinks and light meals. The rooftop bar has spectacular views of the city and the Potomac river, so was our favorite place to go each evening. Hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. Great stay!

The many taxes & surcharges on restaurant & bar bills were confusing, including one called a "service fee", which seemed to us to be nothing more than a built-in tip, yet our restaurant & bar checks still had a tip line, so we did tip the servers. There are no self serve ice machines on the floors of the hotel, a feature we enjoy, and when we asked they sent a butler with an enormous tub of ice, way more than we needed for our drinks. Plus we had no small bills, so the butler got a $10 tip for delivering the ice! Plan ahead for tips.

Iconic. We like having an experience when we travel and it was everything I hoped staying at the Watergate. I love that it is decorated with a beautiful nod to the 60’s. I felt like I was on a movie set, but with up to date comfort. They give a great little tour of the Scandal room. Even mailing a postcard from the room for you. Everyone at the property was friendly and helpful-like they were excited to have us stay there. Also excellent location-we walked into Georgetown and right next door to the Kennedy Center. Quick shot down the waterfront in an Uber to the mall.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, in a great location. We felt very safe there. We had a 5 minute walk to the Kennedy Center. The staff are extremely professional, very accommodating and friendly.

I would say there is nothing we didn’t like, however on this specific day illness wiped out the Top if the Gate wait staff so were not able to have dinner as planned. The bar staff stepped up and made our visit fun and enjoyable. The bar food was amazing!

We really enjoyed staying at the watergate hotel it is a great location for walking to most things in dc including the monuments and Georgetown. Really good size rooms and bathroom. Very comfortable beds.

The only small criticism we would have is the coffee making was not in the room. To get coffee we had to go to the lobby make it and take it back to the room. Not sure why the hotel has implemented this service.
