The novelty of sleeping in a pod was really fun. I felt 100% safe. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The location was bang on perfect for my visit to a two-night concert at the Lincoln. The coffee shop was great.
It was a little bit difficult to climb into the top pod; I don’t know if I’d have rather been in a bottom one, but it would have been physically easier. The soap dispenser at the communal sink was out of soap for my entire stay.

The neighbourhood is very lively, days and night there are always people stopping at the station and walking on the streets. The metro exit is less than one minute from the hostel. I mentionned a time for check-in to the hostel however I arrived way later because of customs (2 hours ?!): the lady was very helpful thank God she was here to help check-in and to explain how to use the Goki app. The Goki app is useful: you can open doors of the hostel and of your shared room by one click. The toilets are shared among men and women in the same floor, but never had to wait for my turn (at least 2 toilets without sink + one toilet equipped with sink + 3 sinks in a row; showers were underground). Didn't feel cold even if the AC is always on, I closed my curtain and stayed warm and cozy. Bed and pillow are comfortable enough. There's private light in the walls with its buttons. WiFi is free and nice one. It's very convenient if you just want a place safe to sleep at small price for a few days. The lady receptionist helped me to book a cab from the hostel to the airport (dc yellow cab) as I was leaving very early in the morning. There are lockers inside the shared room with keys included (too small for a luggage it's just enough for small items like bags and jumpers). Just next to the lockers there are storage spaces to put the luggage whatever the size. If you want to store your luggage before check-in time or after check-out there is a big storage place in the reception floor for free. To visit, the subway is convenient as in less than 20 minutes you arrive at touristic places (Georgetown, Capitol, white house, Lincoln memorial, obelisk, museums). If you cross the street of the hostel there is a walgreens that have basic amenities and pharmacy. For breakfast I recommend "Butter Me Up" coffee shop (7 min walking in peaceful neighbourhood).
I had a bed on the top, so had to use the ladder. This ladder is basically steps. To jump from stairs to your bed you have to balance yourself to land correctly. And at morning I had to be extra focus. I recommend requesting a bed at the bottom. Also whatever move in the room it was amplified. I was in room 302 and there were at least 12 capsules, when a roomate was walking we could all hear the steps. I carried always my phone when going to bathroom, to open my room door easily. The inside of my capsule (49) had very few coffee drops on the walls.

Pods were clead and had a good sense of privacy, showers were great and lobby had great working/talking spots
Staff is 50/50, some are really friendly, engage in converstation and are genuinely interested in you. They go out of their way to help. Other staff don’t bother and spreak with full pride on their phone that they’re going to leave this “shit place”. Some don’t even say hello if you greet them at the lobby. Overal vibe between travellers was kind of awkward, lobby sure had some spots to talk, but there weren’t places to hang out and get to know each other

super cozy. wonderful coffee shop. nice work areas.
very low water pressure in shower. can be noisy when people are talking in common areas. a door between common areas and the walkway to the rooms would be helpful to break the sound.

Very close to metro train. Clean bathrooms and bed linens. Friendly and professional staff. All my questions needs where answered and provided for. Iron and Iron board available. Washer and dryer. There was always toilet tissue, paper towels and soap available in bathrooms. Garbage was always changed. The atmosphere was safe and clean. Capsule was comfortable and clean. Temperature within the sleep areas was pleasant as throughout the facility.
There is normal wear and tear in the hostel it could use a revamp. The outside front of the hotel looks like an abandon building, not welcoming or pleasant to see.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I booked a large female pod room. The bed, pillow, and inside space of the pod are comfortable and give you some privacy. The shared bathroom is clean and has a dryer, 2-in-1 shower gel, Mouthwash, and Q-tips. The nearest metro station is just a 1-minute walk away, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I feel pretty safe walking alone during the daytime and enjoying the bars around the hostel during the evening.
It can be noisy, especially when people climb into or move around inside their pods.

This place is a minutes walk from the metro (green line) which was perfect for exploring the sights of DC. Friendly and helpful staff. Capsule itself was comfortable, but only one usb charge port so I used my power banks to charge other items which was no big deal. Nice place to stay whilst exploring DC.
Some of the other females in the dorm were incredibly noisy at times during the night/early morning. Not the property’s fault just inconsiderate room buddies!

Check in was easy, and the location was exceptional, being close to the DC metro, several bus stops & amenities and located in a vibrant neighborhood. I found the capsules to be very clean and bright, and the bed linen was very soft! The other guests were pleasant and quiet.
It could be very noisy at night: not from people speaking, but just whenever someone arrived or walked around. Somehow the floor seemed to resonate very heavily with each step. Assuming this is a flooring problem, I understand that this could be very difficult to fix. However, I found it to be a real problem as the noise and vibrations kept waking me up, and I am not a particularly light sleeper. Also, I could not figure out how to turn off the red light in the capsule, so I just had to cover it.

The capsule was actually very comfortable, perhaps the best hostel bed I’ve ever experienced. Staff was super helpful and there was a respectful vibe all around. Passcode lockers available. Nice common space, space to store bags before check in
The showers were a bit off, of the two I tried one was nonfunctional and the other was half working and missing soap. Passcode lockers were a bit finicky, but manageable. A bit annoying to have to download an app for the room key, but it worked really well once it got going

This was our first experience of capsules and we liked the atmosphere, staff, cleanliness, overall great facilities. We could do our laundry at the premises which was really convenient. Had the best coffee ever downstairs and interacting with staff was wonderful as they’re genuinely friendly and helpful. Guests were respectful and quiet so we were able to relax and sleep soundly. There are various events if you’re staying in for the day. Amazing location, metro station around the corner and also famous Ben’s Chili Bowl just short walking distance away. Would be great if there was outdoor space that could be utilized if wanting to get some fresh air or if you’re a smoker to respectfully distance yourself from the premises and other guests.
Only thing we had troubles with was checking-in through the app. As unaware in first instance, had to download it right in front of the entrance, tried to figure out the workarounds, checked-in one person but then got stuck on other person. Luckily it was during the day so there was someone at the reception that helped us out. Afterwards, the app worked great throughout our stay.
