The historic aspect of the hotel enhances a great location. The breakfast is slamming, with several hot and cold items. It's served in what appears to be a bar/restaurant that's no longer a bar/restaurant, which brings a large and comfortable seating area. The gym is small but serviceable. A genuine pleasure is bellying up to the historic Polar Bar for a nightcap.

While the hotel has done what it can to embrace its history, it really needs to upgrade the smallest and slowest elevators we've encountered. Maybe they're steam-powered. The real complaint is the price. The original rate was $311. Now let's add taxes, an unspecified $50 "special charge," (no one could tell me what this was for, so it's another way to nickle and dine -- well, nickle and $50 -- customers), and then another $50 for parking. That is $50 a day. The bill approached $500 for one night.

breakfast was very good, much nicer than expected. hotel was awesome, I enjoyed the attention to detail in relation to the age of the property. very old school beautiful.

the homeless people, much more aggressive than our homeless people in chicago...and many many more, and in groups. pretty uncomfortable really. better be in by dark. we got to see a fecal episode on the sidewalk (crazy gross), my husband had food thrown at him. In chicago, we give homeless our leftovers and they are appreciated. we had a horrible time finding a place for dinner, everyplace closed at 2 or 3. we chose seattle because of climate in summer. yes, there is some natural beauty...but I would not recommend seattle to anyone. sorry.

Was interesting staying in a historical Klondike hotel. Def different than your usual hotel visit. I imagine it felt more like a stateroom on the Titanic with the dimensions of the room and how the layout was, takes you back in time. Shower hot water and amenities were great and I imagine if you stay here in fall or cooler months you'd be comfy and cozy in no time. Had complementary coffee in room but we didn't use it. Bed was comfy and so were chairs. Writing table with historical info in form of letter was a nice touch. View was pretty bad though..all in all would reccomend.

The view, didn't get to see much except the ceiling of the building

The room was absolutely charming! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. I can't say enough about the guest service at both the front desk and in the lounge. The lounge is gorgeous, the fireplace is so inviting. We spent an entire evening in front of the fireplace with excellent food with fast and friendly service! I highly recommend this property; it IS pricey but so worth it. I have never experienced such phenomenal guest service - EVER!

I was taken aback that the gratuity was automatically added to the bar/food bill. I also can't find the itemized statement in my email so will be calling the desk to have it resent.

The staff were the best at what they do most helpful and friendliness I have ever seen. They were always there to greet you with a smile and make you feel like home. The bar was amazing great bartenders great bar food, drinks a bit expensive but worth it. The valet staff were amazing at their job always on time and very helpful with all your needs.

I liked everything about the hotel. The only problem is the city of Seattle this is not the hotels problem at all. Right next to the hotel is full of homeless doing drugs, drinking and being very rowdy.

Beautiful old style hotel with comfortable beds in good sized room. We asked to change rooms so we were not looking over a vacant lot and the hotel let us room to a nicer room with view of street. All staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Mike the bar tender gave us some fabulous recommendations for restaurants to visit. We loved happy hour in the bar and the free breakfast in the morning. With granola, fresh berries, yoghurt and bagels meant there were some healthy choices other than the standard American muffins and pastries for breakfast. Loved having a gym on site.

The rooms are a little dark, so can be hard to find things when packing. Unfortunately the hotel is located close to the homeless base on 3rd Avenue, just a bit unsightly to see them close to the Hotel, but easy to avoid and didnt really cause us any harm.

The Arctic Club Hotel is a cool place to stay in Seattle. We chose the location because it was on town near Pioneer Square and on the south of the city and thus closer to the airport. We wanted a more unique experience than a chain hotel and we got what we wanted! The rooms were beautiful, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.

It is pretty expensive to stay at the hotel, but it is a classic city experience and a good breakfast is included in the price.

The historic decor was wonderful. The main floor gathering area was a destination in itself. Great for relaxing around the fireplace and meeting with friends. Every staff member we came in contact was very friendly and went out of their way to acknowledge us and ask if we needed anything. The public transportation nearby was great. There is a light rail station 1/2 block away that will get you to the SeaTac airport and many other destinations around Seattle. Many downtown bus options on the same block. No need for a car. Also close access to the Ferry terminal with car ferries and Fast Ferry passenger ferries to many destinations around the sound.

A bit gritty downtown neighborhood.

I've been looking for my base hotel in Seattle for some time, and I have finally found it--the Arctic Club. I really loved the vibe and comfort of this hotel. The old-school charm just oozes out, but with no signs of shabbiness that one often sees at vintage hotels. They have done an excellent job of presenting an old-world environment that meets modern needs. The room was far more spacious than more modern hotels. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was downright roomy. The coffee service was great--a Bodum french press! Tea selection was also good. I loved the breakfast, and especially the fact that it was complimentary. I am irked by hotel chains that charge exorbitant extra amounts, and was pleasantly see this service included at the Arctic club. The breakfast provided was light but perfectly fine for my needs--sweet rolls, coffee, granola, fruit, that sort of thing. I especially enjoyed the lounge area which has Old World Club vibes to the nth degree. If you work in Columbia Center, this hotel is the closest possible location.

The photo of Sophie Tucker staring at me as I used the toilet was slightly unsettling. Maybe replace that with a landscape or something :)

The Arctic Club hotel exceeded my expectations. First of all, the staff was excellent. Welcoming and accommodating front desk and valet. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy walk to Pike Place Market and T-Mobile Park. Interesting history and design.

The only thing I can think of, which did not affect us, is that we got a text letting us know that housekeeping would only occur on the third day. Since this was just an overnight stay for us, it didn't matter, but I could see that being annoying for a longer stay at this price point.
