La Quinta by Wyndham Tacoma - Seattle

Very nice staff and the building was a good size, lobby is huge! Room was a good size, the heater was quite noisy and we did find a hair on the bathtub ledge. Didnt say anything as it was super busy and wasnt that big a deal. Staff at the front desk were super nice, night audit may want to pay attention to who is in the lobby, as we could have walked away with all the snacks in the snack room. She didnt even know why we came to the FD to pay for stuff. But overall a great stay, plus super close to the Tacoma Dome for the show. Walking distance if required.

The rain....but not the fault if the hotel, they were awesome

The staff were kind and helpful. a the free continental breakfast was great. The parking lot was easily accessible to both the interstate and the local streets. the room was clean. close to the casino and Tacomadome.

The area around the hotel was not the best. lots of homeless people at round. the hotel warned not to leave any valuables in the vehicle as the possibility of theft was high. The noises of vehicles passing by the interstate were heard through the window. the staff did offer ear plugs which mitigated most sounds except the altered mufflers.

Breakfast was excellent, need a tip jar. Room and bed were excellent. Air conditioning worked well. So far so good. Location is a bit of a challenge and it would have been nice to know that. Staff could have been better.

I added a night to my original stay, it went well but was significantly more expensive than my previous nights... should have had more warning on that. Though understandable, the price increase advisory could have been more clarified.

Very clean and great location.

Trey at the front desk was not friendly and quite rude on the phone. Also, got in late the night before due to traffic. Had to pay $20 extra for an hour late check out because the pool didn’t open until 10 even though all Signs said 9, and check out is at 11. Had a 5 year old who really wanted to swim. The cleaning lady who was on our floor-6th was so super sweet and kind. I wish I would have gotten her name.

The staff here were wonderful. Especially the bar/waitress in the lounge. We enjoyed a nice meal and drink in the lounge and played some pool. The front desk staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We brought our dogs and had a good experience with that as well. There is a good place for the dogs to go potty outside and they provide waste bags. The hotel decor in the lobby and hallways was very nice and clean. The breakfast was really good as well - I loved the waffle maker - and the waitress running that was such a nice lady.

The only pitfall (which is not the hotel's fault) is the location. Unfortunately there are many druggies and transients in the area. You must stay on your toes while outside of the premises. At night there was a security guard in the parking lot that advised us of a safer place to park our vehicle as theft happens there often apparently.

The location is fantastic, particularly if you are interested in hitting up the casino which is literally 2 stoplights away; or if you are in the area for the UW Tacoma graduation- it’s also conveniently close and very affordable. The staff was also wonderful.

You can tell that it’s high time for a bit of updating. A lamp in the room didn’t work, the bathroom is a bit rusty- the bathtub was clogged in the morning. A lot of it is really old so it gives the impression of not being clean when I am sure the cleaning staff does a great job. Nothing specially negative to say just that when times are better, operations should look into updating/renovating.

The hotel was great overall, a quiet place. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean! Breakfast was great, a good selection of morning goodies. Staff was really nice.

Although location was great, right off the highway, it was, unfortunately, littered with homeless. But knowing there was security on the property, did make it feel a bit more safe. Gym could use a bit of an update, weight machines were broken.

The staff were great. The pool was nice.

The location has a lot of homeless encampments around it that are on the side walks so unless you walk on the motorway you cant get through Not really safe to walk anywhere smashed glass all over the side walks, roads etc. Also you hear a lot of traffic noise all throughout the night.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable

The location - too many homeless encampments too close to the motel. $20 per night pet fee is too much. Maybe $20 total, for your whole stay. There is no housekeeping services while you are there, so an additional $20 PER NIGHT is not warranted. Also, the lighting in the bathroom is horrible.

Breakfast okay. Location was close to bus stop and downtown Tacoma. Got around great 😃. Casino was near and got a bite to eat and won on slot machine. Staff was very respectful and courtesy. Thanks Looking forward to spending time again at La Quinta inn.b

Hot tub not available because of needed parts. That is one reason why I picked this hotel because of hot tub. Very disappointed.
