Sonesta ES Suites Charleston

The breakfast was good, but I liked the human served breakfast better in the past.

Clean the dog hair out of my room. I don't have dogs and I walked on the floor in my socks and had dog hair all over them

The location was very quiet, yet the capital city was just down the hilly road. The facility was excellent - the staff, the room, the bed. The suite was efficient with "full kitchen", living area and separate bedroom.

There was very little to nothing to offer a not like rating.

I was passing through the area and was looking for a place to stop at that was not right in the middle of a town or on a busy street so this was perfect. It was so quiet and lovely there in a beautiful natural woodsy setting. Check-in was a breeze. The receptionist was extremely helpful and nice. Breakfast was very good. I had booked a studio, but there was not one available so I got a 1-bedroom suite for the same price, which was very economical, I thought. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The two bedroom suite was perfect for our family of four. My kids really enjoyed the pool and the basketball court. The location was just a few minutes drive from the Capitol area.

I think the staff could do a better job with cleaning. For example, we utilized the pullout couch and we found some garbage (old food wrappers/empty drink bottles) under the couch. Also, we stayed for 3 days and the stairwells were not being cleaned at all as the same chunks of dried mud on the stairs remained for the entirety of our stay. Neither of these issues would keep me from booking again, but it's a noticeable lack of attention to detail.

The room and property was very clean. Our suite was spacious- it accommodated our family of 5 no problem. Comfortable beds were a plus. The location is about a 4 minute drive to downtown Charleston; we liked that it was up in a natural setting. The breakfast offerings were a bonus, with a very nice variety. I would stay here again.

The room size was fantastic. Had the suite - Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with separate doors. A large living space and full kitchen. Hotel was located on a quiet hill - no road noise. Staff members were very kind and helpful. Well stocked market place. Heated outdoor pool. Small fitness room and guest laundry. Bonus - Pet Friendly!

The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly. And yes they are a pet friendly hotel. With covid they do have a small hot breakfast that is covid safe with a staff member serving behind a glass petition. This hotel is using all covid protocols to have a safe and wonderful stay.

The hotel was very nice. The only inconvenience was it's located on a hill where there is no Restaurants close by or within walking distance. But there is door dash or other delivery service out there that will deliver. Or you can go down the road about 3 to 4 miles for Restaurants.

The suite was very spacious and had everything we could ask for. Although there was no door to the bedroom it was set up as a separate area. The TV was on a swivel so you could watch it from the living room or turn it around to watch from the bed. There was a full kitchen including dishware, silverware, etc. and a dishwasher. Even though the hotel took all of the precautions necessary for COVID, they provided a hot breakfast with eggs instead of the easy way out most hotels are taking of putting out a few cold items (all carbs) from which to choose.

It's not something I didn't like, but I wasn't aware that the hotel was out of the downtown area in a business park. If we had flown in and were depending on a taxi for travel I'm not sure I would have been happy with the location.

The staff were all very helpful. the breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfy. they are mainly a long term stay place but we're great for a one night stopover.

it was all good! the room was maybe a little tired, but well maintained and clean. the hotel was a bit far from restaurants.

The location was perfect and allowed easy access to the event we were attending. It was our second stay at a Sonesta and we will definitely be booking at another for our next event.

The carpeting was a bit dirty and could have been vacuumed more thoroughly. This room had great water pressure (which always seems to be an issue) and real hot water, not just luke warm.
