Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charleston

Everyone was extremely kind and courteous. The common areas smelt very fresh and clean. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable.

There was a placard in the entrance that stated that the bar and grill was open when, in fact, it was NOT; very disappointing after 10 hours of driving!! I understand that Covid plays a roll in that, but, then PUT THE PLACARD AWAY!! Also, there was a gluten free bagel available, but, NOTHING to put on it. Seriously, provide a small packet of jam if keeping small packets of cream cheese is just too much.

Clean, spacious, nice staff and an outdoor patio where we could sit with our pet.

A little far from the downtown restaurants but an easy drive.

We arrived to find no reservations. Savanna took care of us. Gave us an additionall discount for the inconvenience and put us into a perfect room for us. This hotel will be used by us in our travels again.

When we arrived they had no booking for us. Gave them my confirmation info from booking. Com. Someone on your end didn't complete their job.

Beautiful rooms, great price

Did not have breakfast like the other Marriotts we stayed at during our trip.

The breakfast was really good. The spinach quiche was delicious. Nice topping bar for the oatmeal. Everything was good. It was nice to have access to pool and hot tub on sister property across the parking lot.

The beds and pillows were a little soft. I couldn't find a switch for the fan in the bathroom. No freezer in mini fridge. A night light would have been nice.

Our stay was wonderful. It was SO quiet and comfortable. The bed was very comfy and we were welcomed to our room with soft music playing on the TV which set the mood for a very relaxing evening after our drive. It's a very calm and quiet city with close access to the interstate. Staff was amazing.

Pillows were a bit flat. Had a hard time getting the AC regulated throughout the night so we woke up a couple times trying to get comfortable. Breakfast wasn't great.

The staff was professional, helpful and engaging. It was refreshing to have everything we needed in a restful atmosphere. They truly seemed to enjoy being there.

The morning Mgr was very friendly and helped with our breakfast too. The room design was beautiful, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The young woman who checked us in at night was very curt and not friendly at all. There were only 2 tissues in our bathroom. There were hairs in our sink when we got there. The water in the tub faucet continued to pour out when the shower was on. The fan stayed on all night and was very noisy.

Bed was comfortable, front desk was very helpful. Location for travel purposes was good.

Advertising of pool, had to walk next door to another hotel for access.

The hotel promised cleanliness, sent emails outlining their Covid procedures and when I walked it, it looked and smelled clean. The rooms felt clean and were. This was the safest, most comfortable hotel I stayed at during this trip. I have switched loyalties because of this place--mindful that any hotel's excellence depends on the owers of the franchise and managers.

Railroads/trains don't bother me,--and I heard them only twice but my room was near the track and in the morning a train sat and powered its engine on and off... a little annoying though I was awake. Still--that's probablt not a usual occurrence and wouldn't deter me from staying again
