We had a great stay here, the staff were lovely and very accommodating from start to finish even allowing us to leave our bags all day after we checked out and wait for our night bus in reception. They all spoke excellent English and were very friendly every time we were coming and going. They were eager to help us each day giving us recommendations and offering to help book tours etc. The bed was super comfortable and the room was a nice size, it was very quiet despite being off the Main Street where all the action was happening! The location was perfect and always only a few minutes walk from the best coffee shops, bars etc. We would certainly stay here again!

- Beds are comfy enough and there was daily room service with replenished water bottles and toiletries. - Is in a central location just off beer street and there's a really nice cafe just across the alley - Hotel manager Kate was the highlight. She was extremely helpful and helped us book so many things. She went above and beyond to get trips and travel sorted for us with minimal work on our end.

- Bathroom shower wasn't in a great state with very poor water pressure - Fridge wasn't really operable and looked a bit gross on the inside - Due to adjacency to beer street it can be noisy into the night and means you often have to walk through obnoxious drunk crowds most nights - Be prepared to walk multiple flights of stairs if you get an upper level room

This is a small hotel with only ten bedrooms in a very good position with regards to the old quarter there are only three members of staff and the hotel is run by Kate who i found to be always very helpful because it is a small hotel there is more of a family feel to the hotel the breakfast was excellent and my room was always clean If you are looking for a value for money hotel in the old quarter i would recommend this hotel to you it does not have all the luxuries of some more expensive hotels but makes up for it with its friendly staff

Unfortunately there is no lift with the hotel being in the old quarter anybody in reasonable good health should not find this too much of a problem

This hotel is so close to all the hustle and bustle, yet tucked away enough to not hear it. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and looked exactly like the listing. We especially appreciated the extremely welcoming staff here, whom spoke fluent english and helped us with every accommodation we needed including: smooth airport transfer, tour bookings, calling for reasonable priced transportation (not like the overpriced taxis), and even showed us local, authentic places to eat and see. I definitely recommend this hotel for both locals and tourists!

Since it’s a smaller, locally ran hotel, there are only stairs to the room. This wasn’t a big issue for us though because they carried all of our luggage up for us!

the rooms was comfortable and very clean. shower and ac worked well. staff were very friendly (although we did feel they came off as slightly pushy with tours etc and kept asking where we planned to go next - maybe I misread these interactions) but they were lovely people we just like to organise our own things. great location in old quarter! near beer street but at night it was silent!

the breakfast was fine but we felt like it was really lacking effort - we spent a little more on this place than we normally would and expected a little more than we got. I really don’t often write poor reviews but we felt a little frustrated all in all although there were some aspect that weren’t to our liking we really liked the staff and Kate was really helpful I think an 8/10 is probably correct compared to their average of 9.7 but still a really good place to stay

Really great location in the heart of the city, right next to beer street (but didn't hear the noise). Friendly staff, helpful with booking other travel as well. Clean room and bathroom, had everything we needed. Aircon was very strong.

It mentions there is no elevator but we weren't prepared to be on the top floor (5th) so the stairs were a killer, we were sweating by the time we reached our room every time. They are quite small and steep so perhaps request a room on a lower floor if possible. It is an older building so no fault to the owners but just something to keep in mind

Hopefully the guy on the day is super nice, speak English and really helpful!!! The room is nice too. And the bed is good. The position in the city is perfect !

If the guy on the day is not there, there are no one to help you because the other guy don't speak english and the girl is never here... so you have to send him message even when he is not working... he need a break ! Also the room is not super clean and the room have no window so it can be hot, and noisy. Even if you have the air-conditioner it's not really eco friendly ahah

Liz was very helpful, as was Philip(Hotel manager and concierge), they helped us with our day trips within our budget, the hotel was cleaned regularly and our rooms were cleaned everyday as well. Apart from the bathroom, which was a little bit congested, the hotel was a perfect budget friendly selection. Overall, we had a great experience in the hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at Hanoi Amber Hotel! Right after booking, Kate reached out with all the necessary information and arranged seamless airport transportation. She is incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. The entire staff is super friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent—quiet yet just steps away from the vibrant bar streets. The rooms are exactly as advertised. Highly recommend staying here!

The Hotel is perfectly located in a narrow, cute street in the old quarter of the city. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is great. Best thing about the hotel is the staff, especially the lovely Kate who makes your stay very enjoyable. She can take care of all your extra needs, books tours, cabs, does whatever you can think of with a smile on her face. Thanks for the hospitality.

As a lot of hotels in the old quarter, rooms here are also small. That’s the architecture style of that area. And compared to other hotels in the same range, it’s on the expensive side.
