Heart Lodge Hoi An is in a fantastic and convenient location. I had to change dates and Mat was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We were greeted on arrival with a (secret recipe 😉) tea from Viet who gave us a thorough run-down of our accommodation and recommended places and activities in Hoi An. We soon also met Mat the owner who was helpful, funny, and a great host. We felt right at home and welcomed immediately. Our room was big and clean with a balcony. Roomy separate bathroom. The bed (King) was so comfortable! We had the best sleeps after long days of touring Hoi An. They have a good breakfast choice (more free tea - We want the recipe!) consisting of a selection of delicious food, juice & coffee. All Viet's suggestions around Hoi An were spot on! It was fantastic to have free use of bikes at our disposal to get around. We had an amazing time and highly recommend Heart Lodge Hoi An. We'll definitely be back ourselves one day. Thank you Mat, Viet, and family for having us.

We have done a bit of travel over the years, but never had seen hospitality of this standard. Matt his family and team were absolutely fantastic. The breakfast was an absolute winner. My son and I spent 6 nights here in July 2023. We loved it - it was our favourite place we stayed at in Vietnam, in spite of the local rooster who sometimes interfered with our sleep (this isn't easily avoidable in these parts so just go with it!) The location is superb, central yet not right in the middle of tourist hub, an easy walk to old town and the river, and you really feel immersed in the local culture in this neighbourhood. The rooms are cozy and nicely decorated, the shower is great and the beds very comfortable. Viet and Mat were very welcoming and generous hosts who thought of everything. Unlimited filtered water, ceiling fans (as well as the air conditioner), excellent breakfast freshly made to order (these guys can cook! but they also bring in the best banh mi in Hoi An from Madam Khanh around the corner!). There is no lift for people but there is a convenient small service one for your luggage! Viet and Mat are very friendly and helpful and full of excellent recommendations for local businesses, restaurants and activities. I felt really spoilt when they generously arranged a delicious lunch for my birthday at their awesome restaurant Hoi An Heart Kitchen (also highly recommended). Will be back for sure!

We had a very nice stay at the Heartlodge. The rooms were very clean and nothing was missing. When we arrived we received a detailed explanation of the surroundings, something we had never experienced anywhere else in Vietnam. Including recommendations for excursions, restaurants, tailors, massage studios. The host family took a lot of time for their guests. Organizing the trip from Da Nang (we wanted to take a detour via the Cloud Pass) was no problem, laundry was done within a very short time and a scooter for rent was also arranged within 10 minutes. We always had the feeling that the hosts were happy to take care of it. All family members, even the children, were very open-minded and friendly. We had wonderful 6 days in the Heartlodge and can recommend it. Many thanks to Matthew and his family 🎤

Just amazing customer service all around, very clean hotel and the host was incredibly accommodating. Matt has bikes that travellers can take for free to explore the city. He can also get you a scooter delivered or arrange a car. He welcomed us with a map of Hoi An and told us what to visit. Breakfast was really nice as well, with a good selection of options. We really enjoyed the swimming pool on v hot days. Beat stay my fiancee and I had in Vietnam.

Everything is perfect. the host is fast response & helpful, so pre-check in process was pretty smooth. We also booked the airport transfer services from them & very satisfied with the service and punctuality. The hosts are fluent in speaking english as well, so it was easy to communicate with them. Location is perfect! most of popular restaurants are within the walk distance. near supermarket & cafes as well. We choose the room at the top floor. best view & decent room size. Though there is no passenger elevator, we had no worries about our big luggages, cuz they have small service elevator to bring our luggages upstairs. they provide towels, hairdryer, bathroom amenities. the room is clean as well. I would definitely stay here again if we go back to Hoi An !

A family-run hotel with boutique hotel perks? Yes! This has the best of both worlds: warm welcome and amazing owners always ready to help and modern, boutique hotel-style rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great - the property is located in a small alley that connects you with the center in 5 minutes and has some cafes and restaurants nearby. I loved my stay here and will definitely recommend the hotel to my friends.

The fact that I didn't book more nights ;)

The little things matter and that’s what Hoi An heart lodge does so perfectly. From the ability to change from warm to cool light in the rooms to the finishing touches on your breakfast plate (which is divine I must add). We could not have found a more comforting stay in Hoi An. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean, the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on and the inclusion of a bamboo toothbrush is the icing on top. Aside from the top notch rooms, the service is outstanding. The two brothers that run this place, along with their children make sure your every need is met to the fullest standard. For example: while swimming in their pool, they brought us some refreshing peach tea without us asking. If I am ever back in Hà Nội, I am coming back here for sure. Be sure to check out their sisters tailor shop as well ;)

The staff and family are just the best. They really make your stay memorable. Unbelievably helpful and welcoming. Fantastic English, always smiling. Their customer service skills are 10 out of 10. I fully realize that they have lots of tourists, but we felt very privileged to stay here. Rooms are spotless with lovely eco touches. Superb location close to old town. Breakfast was the best I've had in a long time. They have a restaurant in the old town which you must visit, the food was so good we did the cooking course and would highly recommend it. Also used their tailor (NY central) and would recommend. Would love to come back, and I would hope to stay in this families homestay.

Absolutely nothing.

My stay was perfect from the moment of check-in until I left - it was by far the best experience I‘ve had so far in Vietnam. Matt and everyone else was super welcoming and helpful throughout the whole stay. He gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to see including a little map of the city. Their homemade tea is delicious and I loved the bikes to explore the city, the water refill stations on each floor as well as their eco-friendly approach with water bottles in the rooms etc. The rooms are modern and clean with a nice balcony & their breakfast was a great start into the day. Would recommend everyone to stay here 100%!
