Hotel Bayerischer Hof

Room, breakfast and Spa were all excellent.

We felt there was not enough personal touch. For example its not hard to ask a guest how they are coming, and if they arrive by car to find out their number plate before hand, let the door and porter staff know and have them all greet me by name when we arrive. Also our rooms were not ready until 2:30, but we were at the front desk at 11am to ask about them - if I know people are waiting and are on site, I prioritise those rooms to be ready first and then go back to the normal routine. Neither of these two things is a large amount of work or effort to do, but they would make a huge difference to each guest and a great hotel does these things. The staff are not at fault for lacking these skills, it needs to be drilled and instilled by management.

We have selected the Hotel based on other guests comments . Off course , the location of the hotel played a good role while looking for hotels. We would like firstly to thank the Concierge staff , Mr Saifudain and Doorman staff , Mr Abdulla for their hospitality, cooperative and help during our stay at the hotel . The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance from Maximilianstraße road , Marienplatz Squar, Karlsplatz Square and other tourist places . Luckily, our room was with view of the main street and town views . Which we understood that it's the old building . Other may not like it because of the noise but we do like it . The breakfast was nice but was not with many varieties of food . The staff were friendly . The breakfast costs € 47 per person. There is a parking space available in the hotel which costs € 46 per day . We will certainly visit and stay at this Hotel in the near future or whether we visit Munich

The room unfortunately does have a lock from inside or Door Security Chain Lock which feels un-secured . Iron with Iron table is not available in the room but in request they provide it .There is no electric kettle available in the room

The staff was the best part of the experience together with the views from the hotel.. For me it was the first time spending a night in a luxury hotel, so even though i felt nervous and maybe had a few "dumb"/first timer questions: everyone at the hotel made the experience feel very special.

I was surprised that the fast internet wasn't included in the price of the room or that in this type of hotel you even had a choice between a slow (free) internet or a fast one (extra charge per day).. It felt as a very outdated part of the experience and unnecessary.

The room was spacious with windows that open. All of the staff from front desk to housekeeping were efficient and very pleasant. They were very responsive to our questions and needs. The rooftop pool was wonderful!

It was convoluted to get to the pool. The rooftop dining area was balmy even though it was open air. Perhaps in the Spring or Fall, it would be really nice.

The staff go out of their way to be helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was perfect to sleep in. The Roof Pool was a delight in the unusual heat, and the Roof Garden Lounge offered a wonderful end to a day.

We had no complaints at all. This one of the Leading Hotels of the World for a reason. It can be a bit of a splurge for some, but worth it.

We arrived at the Bayerischer Hof mid-morning well before check-in, left our bags, and took a stroll around the Marienplatz. Within 45 minutes our room was ready. Our accommodations were beautiful, the staff was amazing from front desk reception to Golden Key concierge. Our suite was always fresh and ready when we returned each afternoon. One evening we enjoyed dinner at the rooftop terrace restaurant which was delightful with amazing views of the Munich skyline.

Sound insulation of partition walls is terrible, at least in our room. You can clearly hear and understood people's' conversation in adjacent room, even if they speak very calmly and quiet. Big problem for hotel of such level and heritage.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The concierge was great!

The hotel needs a modern touch. Nothing was changed since our last visit a couple years ago, but the services at 5 star hotels improved a lot in resent years. A coffee mashin and a tee in the room for example. Or a nice touch from the room service with evening linen for the legs or some slight sign for welcome. We would be delighted to see some improvements in our next visit. :)

Room was good size. Breakfast was excellent. Location fantastic.

Room and corridor far too hot, plus aircon not really helpful (didn't seem to work). Stay was marred by shenanigans about the garage on Saturday evening - took 1 1/2 hours to sort out.

Great staff, big rooms, great location

Shower inside the bathtub, which was an issue for one of us who had a bad knee. No lobby where guests could sit and wait or meet visitors. Breakfast was excellent but overpriced.
