Very good location, 10 minutes' walk from Plaza Mayor, all the most interesting tourist sights (including museums) within walking distance, but also a metro station nearby; plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around. Spacious, clean, quiet room. Very comfortable bed, very good pillows and linen, spacious wardrobe with several hangers. Useful mini-kitchen, large bathroom with quality towels but without storage space. Very kind and friendly staff, notable Isaac who speaks French; all team very helpful, they provided us with a kettle and an iron upon request, they assisted us with professionalism on the check-in / check-out, taxi transfers and info regarding scenic walking routes. Thank you! Hope to return one day!

Wi-Fi didn't work the first few days; after confirming that the problem was fixed, the Wi-Fi still had very bad quality.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were quick to help us when we needed help with our blinds. They were nice and made great conversation with us. Their recommendations for breakfast and dinner places near the hotel and around Plaza Mayor were wonderful. The location is very easy to call a taxi from using Cabify and is also very accessible. There are grocery stores within walking distance. The airport pickup is also very affordable and efficient. Walking around the area, La Latina, is fantastic and beautiful—Plaza Mayor is just nearby too. The hotel room itself is quite spacious and the balcony is charming. The fridge is big and the kitchenette has a microwave. Overall, it was well worth the price given that it was very affordable.

This is not the hotel’s fault, but for (almost) our entire stay the wifi was down. If we didn’t have roaming enabled, this would have complicated a lot of things. There was no toothpaste. The photos don’t completely match the room’s appearance but nothing too drastic. You can also hear voices and sounds from other rooms and from outside, although it was not too loud.

It was fresh and nice, I had everything I needed to live for few days and even to cook some meals. There’s also really nice tapas restaurants nearby, supermarkets, etc. I loved it that going to Malasaña is super easy by foot, as well as many other touristic places! 🫶🏽

The only thing I did not like is that I had to ask for toilet paper two times. The rolls are quite small and thin, so it would be a good idea if they put more in the room to avoid going around asking.

The room was excellent nice, clean and tidy. All the things you need are provided in the room. Really loved the staff they are amazing very helpful and friendly, I met with 6 of the staff at the reception (can’t remember the names 😩) and all served with with a smile and very educated and they make you feel like home. The location of the hotel is perfect, its in a quite street and really close to the centre (like 10-15 min walk).

The drinks in the neighbor mexican bar had to much tequila in them, got a headache. Also to many people in the street, dificult to walk in a straight line, could be because of the tequila, we dont know. Also dificult ta wake up the wife for morningsex, i blame it on the bed, it was to confortable. Other than that, all good

Absolutely everything was amazing The room are so clean, smell good! I absolutely loved everything! I was afraid of the noise as announced in the previous reviews, but nothing bothered me it was perfect. The staff is just great, I admit that I came to this hotel because of the reviews, im not gonna lie! Isaac Luis and the wonderful queen at the reception where I forgot her first name were absolutely brilliant I recommend a thousand times! They are helpful and friendly, all with a smile! it was my first time in Madrid they made my stay even more amazing Thank you so so so much guy you are the best of the best.

Fabulous location, neat and clean, helpful and friendly staff on duty 24/7

The neighbourhood is a little noisy but it’s part of the charm and the flip-side of being in the middle of so many great tapas bars and eateries.

We go to Madrid from time to time and definitely will stay at L&H again. First of all, the transfer arrangement is great. For taxi apps there you normally pay around 60 eur both ways, but with the hotel transfer you pay 55 eur and it’s pre-arranged, so you don’t need to confuse yourself with requiring a car and waiting. Secondly, the staff was very friendly! The room was clean and spacious and has (almost) everything you need. We had a room on 4th floor which we loved, also we really enjoyed spending some nights at the balcony with local cava. Mind that some of the balconies have air conditioning box located there, so you won’t be able to put 2 chair from your room in there. About the location, for us it was perfect. We never look to stay in the touristic and very central part of the city and always prefer to be a little bit closer to locals but not too far away from the places we want to visit. L&H is surrounded by some great local tabernas which were amazing to out taste, also some nice gardens and restaurants. And the walk to the nicest museums takes you only about 30 minutes! All in all, the next time we go to Madrid we will definitely choose this place!

I always need an iron and in the room there was none. However I was too lazy this time to request and test it (thank you summertime), so no review on how it works and how fast you get it. Also after the cleaning I was expecting to see new coffee capsules and milk, however we didn’t receive it which is sad, because you’re not going to buy your own capsules?.. In the shower there is no shelve for gels and shampoos. However those things didn’t affect our stay whatsoever and I hope it won’t affect yours, because they don’t matter that much. Just enjoy your time!

Great location with restaurants, supermarkets and Metro Station nearby. The Staff were absolutely helpful and friendly. I will definitely return to this place next time I visit Madrid! Thank you Isaac for all the suggestions!

Not the hotel's fault but unfortunately I had very loud group of neighbours on my last night. I had to catch an early flight and could not sleep well with all the noise and smell of cigarettes coming from their room, which is forbidden and a fine can be applied. The walls from my room were thin and I could hear everything from their room. The staff took more than an hour to control this group of girls but they handled well.

The property feels very new, it has probably been refurbished not long ago. It was impeccably clean and had a very well equipped kitchen, although the best part about Madrid is to eat out ! The bed was comfortable and every room has a small balcony. The guy at the check in desk was lovely, welcoming and very helpful. I would totally recommend this place

It really helps to speak Spanish as they are not very fluent in English.
