NH Madrid Ribera del Manzanares

The facilities at the hotel are great. Outdoor and indoor pool, gym and added bonus it's on a river and park with lots of safe walking, cycling, running options. Bed was large and comfortable, bathroom was clean and all amenities supplied. Lovely fresh fluffy towels too. Location is a bit out of main tourist area but there are buses outside hotel which make the city easily accessible. Breakfast was good with many food options.

My only complaint was that the tortilla at breakfast was awful and tasted like cardboard. Not great as so many options to give a decent tortilla in Spain.

Excellent breakfast and coffee, room cleanliness, the bed, the mattress, the internet, the surroundings are excellent for walking, spending time outside. The center is within walking distance, 15-20 minutes, but public transportation is also available very very close to the hotel.

We booked king bed and they did not have the room ready at our arrival, so the staff suggested we kill two more hours until they resolve it. We returned after 3 hours, the problem was not solved, but they mobilised themselves and managed to solve it quickly. So I suppose, athough the desk staff was very polite and professional, they offered to keep our luggage meanwhile, the cleaning stuff did not do their job on time, but have solved it immediately after the second call from the desk. Excepting this, everything else was excellent.

Hotel presented well, pool was closed but all hotels I looked at in Spain were in April. facilitated 2 single beds for me and my son (went to watch a football match for his 18th). Was at the side of the river and had a couple of nice little bars around the hotel. Wasnt too far to walk in to Madrid itself either, maybe 15-20 minutes max. Lovely green areas all around, good cheap little supermarkets close by too. Staff were really nice and friendly too, very helpful.

Didn’t realise the stuff in the mini fridge was actually a mini bar. Was an unexpected bill of €36 on my departure. Probably more of an oversight on my part rather than anything else.

I liked all the spaces of the hotel were super clean. The Staff very friendly and if you need something, they tried to please you. The location is not in the center but it has a bus in front of the hotel that you can take and go directly to Center.

The only thing, I didn’t like were in the terrace area; the first day I arrived, I went there and it took about 20 minutes to take my order.

Nice hotel in a quiet area, the rooms are well cleaned. It’s not in the city centre, but I had nice time walking there anyway.

Don’t understand why in this kind of hotel there is no iron and ironing board in the room. I could see that many visitors were there on business, but even for a leisure customer it’s important. I requested an iron and eventually had to call reception 3 times and wait for those for more than one hour. The iron was not very good and it made a hole in my trousers even though it was set to minimum temperature 🙃 The room has no carpet, hence why the floors might be a little cold. I didn’t have slippers in my room. The cleaning stuff clean the rooms quite loud, so some kind of noise can wake you up. Also there is a construction going on near the hotel, so in some rooms you could hear it. Luckily for me it wasn’t a problem.

Breakfast: super expensive for its poor variety - no fried eggs, no vegetables at all (sorry but a small plate with few leafs of salad and cherry tomatos not fresh is not freshly cut vegetables); quees for coffee machines that always run out of beens or water...after one breakfast i went to have breakfast just in front to one of local bars

Great, big rooms. The beds are amazing and the view from the room was really nice. The staff were very kind and gave solutions to every problem we had. Located not that close to the center of madrid, but! There is a bus station right under the hotel and it's about 20 minute walk from the center. We had a great time there, thank you for a lovely vacation.

Sometimes the temperature of the water in the shower changed from hot to cold for few seconds and then turned back, it's a bit uncomportable but not a big deal.

The hotel is close to the city center. In 20 minutes you can reach by walking the royal palace. As an alternative, subway stations and bus stops are really close. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I did not have breakfast included but you can order it at the restaurant at reasonable prices. I had also dinner and the quality of the food was ok and at it costed as well a reasonable price. The staff was kind.

The gym was a little bit cold but the temperature of the room could be easily improved.

Nice location, staff super super friendly and very helpful. Clean place, with everything you need in your room, except a kettle to make yourself a coffee/tea after a long day visiting.

It felt very warm in the rooms even with the heating being off. Wish we had a kettle. Did put the sign to clean the room up twice without it being done in the next 2 hours we were out for a walk. Not a big deal but that was the only down of our stay.

We booked the hotel also due to the fact it has a swimming pool that we wanted to use but unfortunately it was closed without any prior information about the end of the swimming season:)
