Tallow Beach Motel

The location of the property is both convenient and close to all the local amenities. The beach is only a 5-minute walk away, and there are restaurants nearby. All the facilities were in perfect working order, and the room was clean and tidy, with an Asian vibe similar to Bali and the Philippines. The staff was truly wonderful and met all of our needs, particularly Frances and the 'Thank you card'. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and it was a wonderful experience. We appreciate your exceptional hospitality, and we look forward to returning here in the near future.

I can’t see anything that I don’t like.

So close to the beach, linens were fresh and crisp, nice toiletries, comfy bed, I liked that we could watch TV in bed, pool area was Presley nice too! it was also nice to be out of the rat race of Byron central, but still close enough to grab dinner there each night. Literally felt so relaxed after our 3 night stay. Definitely would come again! beach was stunning and you can walk for hours on there. Definitely get up for sunrise.

Parking was a bit tricky on the Friday night, there was trucks staying so they took up a lot of the spaces. I did smell a big sewrage-y outside and the wifi didn’t work at all the whole time we were there. It would connect but then say there was no internet connection and nothing would load.

Very clean, quiet large room (even nicer than the pics!) and the staff were super helpful. Easily one of the most stunning beaches in Australia was less than a minute walk across the road (amazing!). Also loved that I could drive right up to my room. Given the small, boutique style, I can't believe my luck that there were rooms available, but I'm pretty stoked there was! This will definitely be the first place I check next time I'm in town.

I didn't really have any bad experiences with my stay. Like I said, it was a brilliant hotel experience.

First of all , mistakes happen! Initially , we had trouble getting into our room , couldn't reach the owner and had kind of a rough start at tallow beach. But when we finally reached the manager, everything was sorted out, we got our room and that room was very nice ! Clean, nicely decorated. We loved it ! Honestly , I would always chose tallow beach over byron bay ! Less crowded, beautiful dogfriendly beach, perfect sunrise at the beach, and some decent bars , coffee places and restaurants just around the corner ! And byron bay is only a 8 minute drive away.

I guess , the manager will make sure that some kind of emergency contact will be available in the future. Apology accepted !

everything was perfect, the lady who own the property very kind, she helped me to open the key for my room, she even upgraded my room to the bigger one. we love the interior so much, it remind me of my home country Indonesia, the wall was made from rattan (which in Indonesia we called it “gedeg”). with small tropical garden in the backyard we can access it from our window (and the window can be opened too). wifi quite alright.

the missed about the room only not much TV channel we can watch, no netflix. location a bit far from city centre like 5-10 mins drive, might be hard for tourist who come here without car.

This was the favourite gem of our road trip. For us it was perfect. Even though it was an older motel, it made us feel we were in our own little beach world. Firstly we were able to park directly outside our room. The rooms are hidden by a high tropical hedge. Behind the hedge lies a breezy verandah We stayed in room 1 which has a small kitchenette and a king sized bed. You walk through the kitchenette into a large, spacious room which is lined with flax weaving on all walls and ceilings. There's plenty of storage room to hide away luggage. The only window is another tropical green vista, so it really seems like a real wee hideaway. Plenty of lamps if one prefers it brighter. Everything's provided for a comfy stay. It's basic, clean, relaxed, private and friendly. The bed was the best we slept in on our trip. The gardens and pool are lovely. And best of all it's directly across the road from the beach. Just a couple of mintes to walk through the bush to the sand. To the left there is a dog beach. That beach goes right down to the Cape lighthouse. To the right it leads to Broken Head. We did a great walk down to Broken Head on firm packed sand, about 7k return. Lots of pipi's along the shore. Suffolk shops are about a 15 minute walk away, and only a few minutes to drive. We had a good fish and chips meal there. The supermarket was good too. We would definitely love to come back here to stay.

Not that we didn't like it, but there was no hot water in kitchenette sink. Not a problem for us to boil a kettle.

Tallow Beach hotel was so relaxing the location perfect a simple walk across a quite road and there you were at the beach. The staff only to happy to accommodate for any needs you may require. The room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable We stayed in the King & Queen bed room and the beds were very comfortable. We would highly recommend Tallow Hotel .

Gorgeous location, friendly, helpful and informative manager Frances for whom nothing was too much trouble. Lovely casually furnished rooms with enough comforts - coffee plunger, tea, decent toiletries, good parking - to make an enjoyable few days. The beach across the road is divine.

We did not realise there was no housekeeping. Enough towels were provided upon arrival and everything was spotless but there was no housekeeping service - perhaps this is typical of motels? It wasn't a hardship to make our own bed and hang our towels, this is just a comment

Great location and very comfortable room, nice personal messages and offers to call for assistance at any time. Great communication. Close to shops

I didn't see a staff member at all, and when i called to ask some local advice, the person on the phone wasn't local. The walls between the rooms are quite thin as i could hear a lot happening in other rooms

Frances is so friendly and supportive. They always be ready to get help and follow up you for your staying. Self-checking process was so easy and nice. We'd like the interior design and cleanliness. Location is so amazing, near the beach and not far from CBD.

If they could serve the breakfast would be very rewarding. Early quiet night time don't work for us. Not entertainment facility or activity at such a beautiful beach and location.
