Woongarra Motel

The room was very impressive. Spacious for our family and recently renovated and very nice. The beds could do with a modern doona but other than that the rooms were exceptionally nice. We were arriving late (after 8pm) so I messaged the motel and they left the key in the door for us.

When I was checking out I handed the room key in. Before I left the reception room, with my back turned to the staff, I heard what sounded like glen 20 can being sprayed I assume on the room key. I could be wrong by what I heard but it left me feeling upset all day. I understand Covid is a problem these days, and if the above is what actually happened, I would like to think for future travellers that the spraying happens once they leave reception so they don’t feel like I did.

Loved the location, the cleanliness and newly renovated bathroom. It's close to the restaurants and cafes of North Haven.

Sadly you can hear the air-conditioning units from neighbouring rooms or something behind the motel building. This was in room 13. Light sleepers will definitely be kept awake by the noise. It is minor, but there wasn't a bath towel provided. Just a bath mat, two face towels and hand towel. The hand towel did suffice. It was too late in the day to ask for one.

Great size room for a one night stay, little kitchenette with coffee/tea, microwave, plates+utensils. New looking bathroom, very nice. Comfy bed and a variety of pillows to choose from! Great location, short walk to the beach or across from the inlet. Great cafe next door and close to the RSL. We were in the area for a wedding so perfect for a short stay. We arrived late morning and asked if it was ok to leave the car there and check in when ready but they said we could check in straight away! Would stay here again.

Minimal bench space in bathroom which was only annoying as I had to put on make up/straighten hair for a wedding but made it work. Not a huge deal for a short stay.

Modern Bathroom and Kitchenette. Comfortable recliners and very functional for a one room motel room with double and single beds. Staff were friendly and helpful including the cleaning staff. Lovely view of inlet and surrounds outside doorstep. Great breakfast options next door. Bowling club adjacent has great quality meals and reasonably priced. Walks and views from the motel are beautiful. Easy 25 min drive to Port Macquarie with some lovely stops & views along the way.

One of those motel to remember . We had an excellent stay at woongarra motel. Motel rooms and provided facilities were just excellent. Outdoor they have big barbecue area and swimming pool. Prime location with good view . One side you have mountain and other side you have beach and in front lake. Owner and family were just fantastic, very kind, very helpful and approachable. They make you feel like part of their family. 10/10 to facilities, location, owner, cleanliness. Would definitely like to stay here for my next trip and highly recommend a stay here.

Nicely renovated property with spacious rooms, very comfortable beds and lounge, very clean. Check-in instructions easy to follow, lovely pool and outdoor area, and seating outside each room. Great location, quiet, near the river, parks and paths to the beach. Really good cafe next door which was also open for dinner. Staff were friendly as were the motel's resident dog, cat and birds. Definitely recommend this motel, I will stay here again.

Comfortable bed and chairs, easy to use bathing facilities, very useful kitchenette. There TV was well placed for viewing. Staff all courteous and helpful.

The door to the unit was so difficult to open we had to seek the assistance of staff to enable us to enter the unit. The door did not close properly without manhandling and the locking mechanism appeared to have been installed incorrectly.

Great value motel, recently refurbished, in a great location in North Haven. Walk across the road for strolls along the riverbanks and walk to local surf club and cafes for meals and coffee. Motel rooms also have kitchenettes for convenience as well. Close to bus stops for trips into Port Macquarie or travel in opposite direction to Port Macquarie airport.

I was looking for accommodation in Port Macquarie and booking.com suggests a motel in North haven. Nice motel. But miles away from where I was in Port Macquarie. I could've driven to Kempsey in the same time and been travelling forwards not back where I came from. Worst suggestion from booking.com I've I'm sure not the motels fault.
