Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn Wien

Location is great, facilities are great, beautiful reception area, great on-sight coffee shop. Breakfast was fully satisfactory. Room was quiet, facing inner garden, so one could have window open during the night without any noise, bird song in the morning. Beds are not too soft, exactly as I like. Not my first stay at that hotel, would certainly stay there again, the price per night was fully acceptable. There is Plachutta restaurant a few minutes walk distance, so great dinner is very easy to find. Communications with city center is perfect, there is a metro that takes you to the center in 15 minutes.

Can't think of anything really, enjoyed the whole week of stay at the hotel.

The Parkhotel Schoenbrunn is a perfect location. It's easy enough to reach with a car, but also very close to public transit options that take you to the heart of the city quickly. It's far enough to be peaceful, close enough to reach things in a jiffy. The hotel is very grand, with beautiful public spaces. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had enormous variety and plenty of seating (indoors and outside). Secured parking was at a public garage right next door & linked to the elevator, which was very convenient. It's also across the street from the Schoenbrunn Palace Gardens, which are a real treat to visit. Extra bonus: two doors down is a small restaurant that has the best gelato I've ever had. When I go back to Vienna, I will definitely stay here again.

The air conditioning could have worked better. In fairness, though, we didn't ask the hotel to do anything about it, and I'm sure they would have fixed it for us. More annoying, though,, was the fact that housekeeping started knocking on doors at 7:45 AM, when checkout isn't until noon. Later, when we going to breakfast & told them we still weren't leaving, housekeeping seemed irritated that we were staying until the noon checkout.

Myself and my family spent 8 nights in two rooms. The hotel was excellent, especially noteworthy was the breakfast which had everything you could ask for, fruit, yoghurt, juice, cold meats and cheeses, pastries, all kinds of cereal with a choice of types of milk, cooked items including freshly cooked eggs if you wanted it, We were there during a very hot spell and the hotel was nice and cool. The rooms were very large, we paid much more for a tiny room in London the week before. The hotel is just opposite the wonderful Schonbrunn Palace gardens and Vienna Zoo which my 9 year old grandson loved. The underground takes only 10-15 minutes to get to the centre of Vienna (Karlsplatz), You can even get off the stop before this and be right at the Naschtmarkt. Trains run every few minutes and are are spotless as are the stations.

Only minor issue was that housekeeping was done when we didn't want it on particular days

Difficult to enlist all likes because all what we used was fine: location, reception, assistance, rooms etc.

I assume breakfast for 22EUR per person a bit exaggerated. Park house offered too less lots ant they were tooooooo tiny. I would expect separate zone for hotel guests and more comfort there.

I really liked the location and the reception staff, who were very helpful and empathetic.I received valuable information from them, upon departure I was able to leave my luggage in a room where no one enters, so they were safe. The hotel cafe is very good.

I didn't like the way the cleaning was done, although everything seemed clean. On the last day there, we were disturbed just before 8 o'clock in the morning to vacate the room, which is not right.the way.We stayed 7 nights, not every day we had complaints about cleanliness. There were also people who did their job well.

Great location, next to the amazing schonbrunn area, which is great for the kids, and for us the adults regarding the options of exploring the gardens and doing sport. Public transportation is great and the subway and tram stations are next to the hotel entrance. Breakfast is perfect, regarding the variety and taste. Whey more then the average European breakfast. Rooms are huge!!! Bed was very comfortable. A lot of restaurants and food options around the hotel make everything easy with kids

Wi-fi can be updated… we suffer from slow connection. Air conditioning is controlled by the main system. Can be too cold or shut off while its still hot outside.

Fantastic Hotel and the location is 10/10, we arrived early at approx 11.30am and they had a room available so allowed us to check In early. The train station is just across the road, with a fantastic train service all over the city, very cheap and easy to navigate. We used UBER for a 2 trips but the train for the rest. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants so all within a very short walk. Also straight across the road from the hotel is Schonbrunn, You can walk around the entire park, so much to see including a fab zoo and the amazing Schonbrunn Palace. We took the park train €12 each and you could hop on and off at each attraction.

We had a double room it was lovely and clean and a good size but the hall way down to the room seemed a little grubby, TV didn't have any English stations or Netflix

Most of all the hotel is situated right next to Schonbrunn palace which was great. We had early morning walks everyday through the gardens. The hotel has unique lobby and the personal was very useful and friendly, the room was super spacious with separate toilet and bathroom. The personal was fixing our bed whenever when we were not in the room also which was very nice of them. Very professional and would definitely go there again. Last but not least, the comfiest bed I've ever slept on.

Maybe the only not so good thing was that I went there by car and the parking next to the hotel was 35 euros per day which is a bit much, however around Reschgasse we managed to find a cheaper parking for 7 euros per day, it was around 5 mins away from the hotel.

The interior design is very nice, also rooms are cute and calm, rooms are just enough big for a couple.

I missed some things in the bathroom like body milk and some cotton pads. Also from the first day on there were unwelcome visits from a cleaning lady that “forgot something” but then didn’t take anything because she did not forget anything, on the last day there were three visits from hotel folks and it was more than two hours until check-out. I did not like that they just came in the room and didn’t even knock or give any signal so I’ve been quite worried that someone will come in the room at any given time. For a hotel like that, this should be organized better.

Great hotel in great location just minutes away from U4 metro station.

The hotel is a lot bigger than it looks online with a new build to the back of the hotel. I ended up having a really nice and spacious room in the rear part of the hotel but that meant walking for a quite a while to get there from the lobby. This was annoying especially since the door/card system is quite outdated and wouldn't let me into my room one evening. I had to track back all the way to reception to have my card recoded but had to wait as another guest had the same issue. Was told the card should not be brought close to my phone - which is quite impossible in this day and age. Apart from that I really enjoyed staying at this great hotel.
