Ruby Marie Hotel Vienna

the room was super clean and very modern. it was also possible to refuse cleaning of the room and instead get a free drink which i very much liked. amd the location was amazing, literally 1 minute from an Ubahn station and less than 5 from the train station

it was only possible to do a self service check in and the room number was printed on the room key which you needed in the elevator to acces certain floors, as a solo traveler i did not like it that other people in the elevator could see my room number. there was also no telephone in the room so it was not possible to easily call the reception in case of an emergency. staff was not that friendly, any time i asked something they made me feel like it was a burden

Ruby Marie is a lovely hotel for a short trip to Vienna. The rooms are very clean well designed, the breakfast is excellent, it has a really great roof terrace and the location is good for shopping and public transport. It is well designed with nice initiatives like offers of free drinks if you don’t have your room cleaned over your stay. They have movie night, yoga and a library if you’re looking to be entertained. The beds are comfy too.

This is a hotel built for millennials - the decor, the mindset - with all the niceties and tedium that implies. So, there are no tea and coffee making facilities in your room-presumably on the grounds of sustainability. But fear not. For the price of 4euros somebody will make you one in the bar which consists of a large glass of boiling water with a teabag clothe-pegged to it…why ….why not just tea? The majority of staff are lovely. A small minority have forgotten the German/English for please and thank you when asking you for money for over-so-slightly overpriced drinks and seem to have a mild sense of disdain for it all. However this doesn’t detract from the overall value for money and good time to be had.

The hotel is very nice, cozy and tidy, breakfast is very good although missing some basic hot dishes. Interior and atmosphere is also very nice. We stayed here for our anniversary and are happy that we chose this hotel for that. Breakfast is of very high quality, rooms are very well designed.

Self check-in is not really convenient and the staff seating there was not really friendly when we arrived, same for the explanation how to use the parking discount. There is actually a much cheaper parking just around the corner - Apollo-Garage (19 EUR versus 25 EURO that hotel offers), but no one told us about that.

I love how central it was. the location was amazing. the room was spotless I had a nice view. The ambiance of the hotel room as amazing. It was super eclectic and I really loved how they incorporated art, music and movies into the hotel. I’ve never seen a hotel that you had guitars you can play and take back to your room.

Great location, tram stop right outside the door. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Hotel really nice and fresh looking, great bar area and rooftop terrace on 5th floor. Guitars placed around the bar that you could actually take back to your room and plug into the Marshall amplifier that was there, by the bed. The room ( 526 )was very spacious , large comfy bed, nice pillows. large walk in shower with rainfall and wand . It also had a shared balcony , but not much of view. There was a wardrobe with a safe, a hairdryer and towels. The hotel also lets you cancel room service in return for a free drink at the bar, which we did as only there for two nights, great idea. You can also check in before arriving which saves time and hassle. The hotel also had a movie room, showing two movies a day, a library,yoga space and a gallery. Would definitely use this hotel again, thank you Ruby.

We liked the location of the hotel, because it was close to public transports, such as the tram(5) and the subway, and there was also a supermarket very near; it was on the corner of the most commercial street of the city, with a lot of shops, restaurants, and a nice and safe environment; the hotel was cozy and pretty, the staff was friendly, and the room, although not very big, was very comfortable and clean. Also, it was not necessary to do the checkout and it was possible to leave our bags at the hotel until we needed to go to the airport so we didn’t have to carry them on our last day. In general, it was a very nice stay and if we ever visit Vienna again we would definitely stay there again.

The lobby and bar were very well decorated and quite cozy, with a very friendly staff. Check-out was easy. The location is near the Westbahnhof, and you can reach the old town in less than 6-8 minutes using the U3 subway. The internet speed was okay without any interruptions.

In English: Breakfast could have been better for the price of 20 euros, in my opinion. I had expected better quality, such as a variety of honey options. Based on my experience with various hotel visits, I would consider 15 euros a fair price. The room does not have a large desk; there is only a small one.

Looooved my loft room! It was huge, with a lot of light, felt even bigger than I expected, with great terrace and amazing view - you even see mountains on the horizon! Staff was very friendly and helpful on my check in (even though check in is automatic and actually person is not needed - but i loved the interaction with staff!). Loved my free drink (anything from bar menu!) in return for not taking housekeeping service for my stay ("green way"). Main sunny terrace on the 5th floor was also very beautiful! Hope I had more time to spend there :) Loved the working area! They even have a Mac to work on! Wow! And the furniture in library and working area as well as in the bar is very nice ;) In the room I found a chocolate bar and water bottles (still and with gas) - they said it's a greeting from hotel, for free! That was so nice of the hotel, I really loved this gesture, thank you! Chocolate was very delicious after a busy day! Moreover, on 3rd floor there's a beautiful kitchen area next to library area with books - and there you can make tea and instant coffee for free (all included there), hot water always available! I found it just wonderful and so thoughtful! And if you want a snack - there are vending machines with low prices for snacks on each floor! Way better than in other hotels where everything is very expensive in the room's minibar. I love the perfume you use in the shower gels and shampoos/conditioners of Ruby brand! As I was in Ruby in Cologne in January - feeling the same perfume already in the lobby here in Vienna was really great, i felt coming back home ;))) Also this Ruby hotel has very nice activities for free - yoga two days per week + CINEMA two times per day showing old classics! Wow! Wish i had more time to check out everything ;)

No door for the shower (just completely open aisle) was funny haha I also checked another loft room in the hotel (because I prefer when TV is on the wall and not standing on the floor) - and in that loft room there was a glass door for the same type of shower! Made me wonder why some showers have glass door and some don't :) but the shower area in general is still very stylish and beautiful, love the stone feeling of tiling on the floor Reception not on the ground floor but on 5th floor felt a bit strange :)) Entering ground floor and not seeing anyone but only elevator made me feel uncomfortable

Nice and clean room with a balcony. Hotel itself is very close to the metro station, and only 10-15 minutes from the center of the city. There is also a tram stop close to the hotel, from where you can get to Schönbrunn Palace in 10 or less minutes.

Breakfast might be improved a little bit regarding the servicing area. It's quite limited in terms of space around buffet, and not very comfortable when there is a big queue since the seating tables are quite close to it. Personally, I also think it's easier when you can take whatever cutlery you need than looking for a table that has been served already with a pre-packed ones. A little bit strange with the coffee serving, the first day barista guided me to use the coffee pot at the bar, the next day they have pre-pared a coffee for me in a coffee machine, which was quite better. Otherwise, everything was good!

Wonderful experience. Hotel experience starts with reception - at Ruby self checkin is available. No checkout needed which is also very convenient. You can also choose to refuse daily cleaning in favour of free drink at the bar. Our room was clean. There are 2 options for pillows in the room - low and regular on. It is quite rare in hotels and I often suffer from very high pillows. There is a Marshall speaker in the room and you can play music with Bluetooth! Also you can borrow a guitar at the bar. There's a library and shared working place in the hotel. Overall great place with unique facilities.
