Courtyard by Marriott Vienna Prater/Messe

Does what it says on the box. Metro and bike share station is a super short walk away. Office area with East European style concrete block houses from the 1960s on the other side of the metro line. Place is a desert on weekends. Hotel is exactly like it should be, staff are professionally courteous, I can see waking up, going to the lobby and having no clue which continent I'm on, never mind the country. If

Parking is 29 EUR/ 24 hours and they will not take a reservation so even if the lot is 90% empty you're left hanging on whether there will be a spot or not. We had a fully packed car with a lot of wine so underground parking away from the summer heat and sun was important and enjoyed our little anxiety whether there will be a spot or not. There's a second huge public parking almost right opposite the hotel.

Room was good although surprised in such a modern hotel that there is no USB charging facilities in the room. Also the aircon controls are a bit odd and seem a bit hit and miss whether you get air con or not. Lots of storage which was good. All in all very pleased - we were there for a concert at the Ernst Happel Stadium and the location could not be better. Also very close to an underground station so easy access to the City Centre was good. All in all a great stay and the included breakfast and friendly staff was a bonus,

No USB charging in the room and air con controls are a bit strange.

Nice rooms; spacious, minimalistic, and — best of all — air-conditioned and dark if you close the curtains. Life saver in the insufferably hot month of July and especially if, like me, you just spent 2 days in a non-AC:d hostel in Krakow, getting exactly 0 hours of sleep in that time due to the heat. Friendly and helpful staff, let me leave my luggage with them over the day after I’d checked out. Close to Das Gym for you iron enthusiasts (the hotel’s fitness centre is pretty good too though). Overall clean and neat.

Further away from the city centre than I’d anticipated (about an hour’s walk). But that’s only a (very minor) issue if you’re a bit extra and insist on walking everywhere. The U-Bahn would probably get you there in half the time.

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early for one of the rooms at like 10:30 am. We got to hotel early and I didn’t want to wait, specially after a very long flight. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. The staff, namely Yana and her colleagues were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was ok but lacked kosher food. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The air conditioner was not cooling enough at night, specially between 1-3 am.

bed was not that great

very close to the subway, breakfast looked very very good . a very nice hall with the possibility to see the World Cup finals! and it brought luck !! Argentina olè!

services quality was not as high as expected- the room had no bath robes and no slippers, very basic equipment. another example: I was given i room I didn’t like because interconnecting with another room.. I called the reception from the room and the reception told me they had many clients checking in… so what? Also, I kindly asked the reception for a thermometer cause I felt fever and the told me they didn’t have any.. not as serious as I expected

- great location, we came by car and it is just off the highway, and it is also next to a metro stop making it easy to go downtown - great gym and sauna - nice lobby area

- we booked an upgrade to get a double bed, yet that room was actually smaller than the twin our friends stayed in, so seemed like a lot to pay for that bed - no coffeemachine - no possibility to leave postcards at reception to be mailed, small thing to do and so practical for guests. It was the first time I heard that was not offered somewhere

On the last day, one of the cleaning ladies knocked at my door at 9 AM and was surprised that I was in the room (even asked "zimmer nicht frei"?). As I said no because checkout is at noon, she insisted (quite aggressively) to tell her exactly when I was going to leave. I found this quite annoying, so I recommend that the cleaning staff is duly informed on what rooms have been checked out, in order not to disturb quests.

the room is so clean, and the area is so quiet it is a bit far from the city center. However, it is near the metro station which you can easily go there. it is near Prater park and its big garden which you can go and enjoy. overall the hotel is recommended for anyone visiting Vienna.

only that if you need anything like slippers, cotton pads, etc.. it will not be available in the room. However, you can ask the receptionist and they will be more than happy to provide you with anything you require.

Hotel was very visually pleasing. The combination of colors, accessories and lots of plants was calming. It was the first place where I didn't feel like I was in an impersonal generic hotel, but really comfortable and at home. Breakfast exceeded my expectations in terms of choice, taste and quality.

Elevators need instruction to use. Every now and then you could see someone who had no idea that the card was to be inserted and for how long, and was trying by force of will to force the elevator to move, thereby delaying the others who would like to use the elevator as well and cannot, because the second elevator will not come if there is already one down.
