Hotel Daniel Vienna - Smart Luxury Near City Centre

Location: V good. bus, tram and train connections only 3-4 minutes walk away. Room size: large Room: Has a fridge, mini bar, air con, toiletries, coffee machine, large TV, safety box. Window blinds and curtains can completely block the sun light. Room cleaning service - daily. Comfort: bed was very comfortable. Staff speak English. I would recommend this hotel.

This is my honest review, the only thing I felt strange was unwelcoming reception staff. A smile doesn’t cost anything. Staff at the bar on the other hand were friendly. I’m sure their smile was free!

Perfect location for travellers arriving by train - we loved the huge sign on the rooftop, we could see it from the station already. A 20 min walk to the center via the beautiful Belvedere park was a treat. Beautiful, contemporary interior design, lovely surrounding, great service and smart marketing (amazing soap&lotion, not to mention urban honey!). The bed was super comfy and the shower added a lovely perspective. Very nice and welcoming vibes, it made our stay in Vienna just perfect - well done!

Very good location. Just 1 stop by tram to the Hauptbahnhof. Next to Belvedere. Tram stop and local train near to the hotel. Modern and comfortable.

We loved the unusualness of this hotel. From arriving and seeing a sailing boat dripping over the roof to the see through shower cubicles and staring at the raw unfinished ceiling from our bed. The greenery in the reception and eating areas and the fact that they made and sold honey from roof top beehives added to our general wellbeing during our stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made time to chat. In particular Peter was an exceptional host, even though he didn't give us any clues as to the whereabouts as to the illusive Daniel. I think we will have to return to see if reach the next level to find the man. Bag storage was great and allowed us freedom to explore the beautiful Vienna.

Everything. This hotel is Quirky with a capital Qu! From the boat appearing to fall off the roof via the reception that looks like a market stall to the excellent people it’s a must stay for a city traveler. We had a warm welcome and a quick check in. The weather was awful so we decided to eat in and we weren’t disappointed: good food, not haute cuisine but varied and well cooked served by competent, hard working and friendly staff. Must mention the breakfast, huge choice set out like a voyage of culinary discovery. The hotel is situated right next to Belvedere, just a 10 minute walk from the station. Allow at least a day for Belvedere, it’s amazing. The bar/brasserie is very popular with the locals which is always a good sign.

Our room was quirky but in a good way. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It’s a room for sleeping in not relaxing in, you go down stairs for that. It’s designed around pods: a WC pod, a shower pod and a sink in the room. Everything works well but if you’re used to discrete facilities this isn’t it. Either way we slept well and loved the humour dotted around the room. This isn’t negativity more a suggestion for anybody expecting conventional.

Breakfast was awesome, good value for money. Good bed, perfect shower. Curtains closed well, so reasonable dark during the night. Staff was very helpful!

Room was way too warm. 26 degrees C and it was hard to get it cooler, even during the night. Airco did not work properly. selecting lower temperature did not change the room temp. Only option was to switch off heating system altogether, turning radiators out and open window during evening and night (outside temp was around zero) and by this way we managed to lower it to 22 and in later nights to 20 degrees.... Only 1 chair to sit on. Not separate bed lights.

BREAKFAST 😍😍😍 We actually liked the whole concept of the services offered in Daniel. The ambience is chilled and cool. Book with breakfast included and you will not regret it! Freshly squeezed orange juice, Nespresso coffee maker, smoothies, omelets and waffles made fresh and out of this world honey It was a stay (over new year's) to remember!!! 💋

One day (our check out day) there was no hot water dut to a pipe issue. Things happen... However, we were offered to have a shower at a sister property but we declined! The helpful receptionist made sure that a verbal apology was extended to us and kept on checking on every single person for that matter. Well managed 👏

Great location for transport links into city centre Staff are very nice, very good breakfast and menu was very good for dinner. Super comfortable bed and quite room. Peter who work there was a lovely friendly guy. I would definitely stay again.

Nothing it was a great hotel.

The room was nice and clean (and cleaned every day), it was on the side of the street but I didn’t hear any noise. I liked how it was decorated and all the standard hotel messages changed in a creative way. The breakfast was really nice, the food itself and the place where it is. Location wise for me it was perfect and well connected to lines coming from the airport, u-bahns and straßenbahns going to the city

The rooms are not that big for a wardrobe, but a rack with more hangers would be pretty useful for longer stays even though it was not such an issue for me. The transparent glass in the shower looking at the room may not be comfortable for everyone who are sharing a room.

Nice hotel, close to the train station and many public transport stops – easy to get around. Breakfast was nice, nothing special, but everything was delicious. The room was spacious, and the in-room shower cubicle was a nice quirky touch. If you plan to share the room with someone, be comfortable being naked with them; there is not much room to have privacy in that form. I didn't mind; in solo travels, it's always cool to experience different designs and layouts.

I got the room looking towards the street, and it was a little noisy as I pre-read from other reviews, but not too bad. Just be ready to get the feeling of being in a city. Eventually, this was OK as I slept with earplugs; I have gotten used to doing so as I'm anyhow light sleeper. But what annoyed me a little more was the curtaining; the blinds didn't darken the room much. I've noticed that a lot lately that hotels do not want to invest in light-blocking curtains. Besides that, the hotel is excellent, will probably stay there more.
