Hotel Caroline

The room was surprisingly huge and well-decorated, with a cute arch leading from the doorway to the sleeping area. Felt unexpectedly luxurious for the really affordable price! Shampoo, soap and towels were provided as well, and extras were given generously by the reception. Was not expecting breakfast to be provided but had a wonderful buffet breakfast with a range of spreads, cheeses and pastries that were so delicious! Explored the hotel and discovered a spacious recreation room with a giant hammock and reclining chairs facing the patio that was well-kept and empty. Also found a very clean gym with advanced facilities that was not heavily in use as well. The best thing was the free sauna that was open till 10pm, with very clean and well-decorated facilities: showers, extra towels, water cooler. Location was really good too, and I could walk from Wien Hbf to the hotel in a few minutes, and is generally accessible to all the usual tourist places with Vienna's great transport system. All in all, it was a place that kept exceeding expectations in every aspect and was by far the best 3-star hotel I've been to that I would say feels more like a 5-star hotel at a much affordable price. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Nothing, it was a great place that exceeded expectations in all ways. The exterior may look a little lacking but do not be fooled by it, the stay was really enjoyable and we only wished we could stay longer to fully maximize all the free facilities they provide.

We were given another room due to some reasons. The room was probably the best and most expensive in the hotel. Just superb! Even an infrared sauna inside! Cool memories from Vienna. Thanks, Caroline!

My husband wanted something hot for breakfast but there was nothing. For me, the breakfast was very good and qualitative.

We were here for a week and found the hotel to be excellent. The staff are very helpful and the facilities are fine. There is a large sauna area which, for a fee, you can have exclusive use of. They have a small bar which is not expensive and breakfast is plentiful. Public transport to get around is excellent, we bought a 17 euro ticket each which covered us for the whole week on underground, tram and bus. Overall we'd really recommend a stay here.

We arrived back after an evening out at 10.05 pm to find that the bar was closed. It closed at 10pm. Apparently this is due to local licencing laws. We'd suggest you keep your own wine in the fridge in the room to prevent such an emergency happening on your visit.

The hotel is in a great location. 5 minutes to the subway (U1) and 15 minutes to the main train station (which can also be reached by subway - U1). I think they also have their own parking lot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room and very comfortable bed. Lots of choice at breakfast.

Our room faced the inner courtyard, which unfortunately had an echo effect. In the morning, you are woken up by the first guests or staff talking. Maybe they could put a sign "silent till 8am". Because some people really don't have a sense of how loud they talk. There is no air conditioning in the room.

The room is big enough. There are a bed, table (possible to work), a place for cases, big bathroom. There is the garage! With plugs for electric cars. You can get an electronic key and use it at any time. And it was cheap. The bus stop is 5 meters from the main entrance. Mirabele palace is 10 mins walk. Some restaurants are around, but not a lot. The main train station is 10-15 minutes to walk. Tram is not far away too. The Interior is a little fun, like a mix of some styles. Also there is a small inner yard. Breakfast is simple enough. This is the only claim I can raise. In general, I like it.

Breakfast.

The hotel is at a very convenient location in terms of public transport connection: the bus stop in front of the hotel with the practical bus line, and also a 5-minute walk from the subway station that takes you to the city center in 7 mins. You also have several popular shops in the area. The breakfast is superb, at a 4* hotel quality and variety. The staff will bring you coffee in a thermos bottle. The room and the bathroom are spacious, clean, fully stocked minibar, and the most extensive hotel safe I have ever seen - some 5* hotels could learn something!

The neighborhood is not so attractive - I wouldn't recommend walking around at night as a solo woman traveler (I have even witnessed some unpleasant situations during the daytime). The staff working at the restaurant will serve you, but you will hear and see them being angry, upset, or behaving nervously.

A mind blowing huge room, and fridge and huge bathtub. Hotel staff is really friendly especially the receptionist guy. We had a really positive experience overall. Would definitely coming back again:)

The hotel sauna facility is a paid one, ( we knew this before coming) but sadly it's per occasion which actually makes it not a good value for the amount they charged for it. I totally understand though as the energy costs must be very high. The breakfast was nice but a little bit chaotic with few tables for the guests, the staff however did everything they could to clean the tables on time. If i could change one thing i would suggest to change the breakfast staff's uniform. Maybe just nitpicking here but they looked like nurses in a hospital in all white, rather than hotel employees.

The location was excellent. Everyone could speak English. Breakfast was good. Welcoming reception. Timely Room service. Trams and bus stop near the hotel. Luggage storage is available after checkout.

Initially, I was given the key to a room that was currently being occupied by someone. This made me question the security/ safety of my stay there. Any number of room keys can be programmed on the RF ID cards( swipe cards) Made me a little suspicious and nervous if someone will walk into my room The reception, clearly stated it was a mistake from their side and upgraded my room to a junior suite.:-)

The room was huge, with lots of storage space (closets, cabinets, chests of drawers, table, sofa, etc). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good, with a great shower. the room was clean. the breakfast was good with a nice variety of options.

Next time I travel to Vienna I'll choose a hotel that is walking distance from the center. This one was a bit far, but if you're ok about using the subway regularly, it shouldn't be a problem, since there is a subway station very close to the hotel. We stayed for three nights and the breakfast was exactly the same on the three days. it would have been nice to see something different on different days.

The room itself exuded warmth and was furnished tastefully, capturing the essence of Viennese charm. It was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, making my evenings after wandering the city streets truly restful. The bathroom deserves a special mention. It was a perfect fusion of modernity and functionality. Every amenity I could think of was available, and the finishes were elegant, ensuring that my morning and evening routines were both comfortable and luxurious.

Breakfast. While it was by no means terrible, I found it to be a tad on the basic side, especially when compared to the overall excellence of the hotel. A little more variety or some local specialties could have elevated the morning meal to match the standards of the rest of the establishment.
