Chateau St. Havel - Wellness Hotel

Short drive from central Prague approximately 10 minutes, good value for money. Stunning hotel and grounds top notch 🙂 with lovely garden, pond, golf... It was like stepping back in time. We loved a vintage phone in full working order. Our daughter said: "Mummy, look it's like my little palace, let's invite Prince George 😃for our dinner." Dishes at the restaurant tasty and beverage list was very high standard and excellent service. Welcome drink was really nice touch. Breakfast was lovely 😋. We picked this hotel as a family point after Christmas celebrations. We would like to thank all the staff at the hotel for our short but wonderful stay. Breakfast was included and was like a self-serve with a large selection of foods! Little chocolates were left of the pillows for arrival. Plenty of bathroom products available, and slippers! Cleaner came and did a little tidy of the room midday as well, so once I came back the room was clean and tidy. Really really helpful staff and lovely environment.

The only thing I would say is the minibar had a strange smell to it, which put me off using it (which is probably good ultimately). Another thing I would say is the in room coffee pods were not restocked and the cups in the cupboard didn't look like they were clean. But that could be due to them looking unused, so maybe they were not checked due to this.

The breakfast was good. There was a selection of meats, cheeses, fresh breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage and smoked salmon. We also ate at the hotel for dinner 2 nights of our stay and were both times impressed--the food was a bit pricey but always tasty (I had the most tender octopus of my life there [even though I ordered squid but it could be a translation problem...?]). The restaurant is worth a try at least one night.

The location is less than ideal. There are no points of interest and very few restaurants around but there is still public transit available if you're patient. The hotel is a little worn but that has always had a kind of charm for me. I can't complain too much about the price but I think comparable or just less than comparable accommodation could be had for less.

The hotel has a charm of its own. Yes it's dated and require renovation but the nice location and view compensate for that. The breakfast is great and over all it was a great value for money. The shower and the view out of the bathroom Window were an add plus.

The house is quite dated and the dinner might be overpriced. We spent a single night and it was a good experience. I can imagine that longer stays or smaller rooms might not be suitable for everyone.

In my life I stayed in hundreds hotels, this is in my top ten. The peoples who work at reception, very helpful( helped me with my car issue,with test PCR, with phone call etc).The room was warm, very clean and surprise ( chocolate) on the pillow 🙂. I want to mention the chef, the dinner was great ( only in Italy i had few times similar.

The electrical sockets in the room need to be more, especially both sides of bed, i understand that hotel is not new,but we are in 2021 and people have phones,tablets, computers and other devices.

Lovely historic building and very well maintained. Gorgeous back area with lake on property. Breakfast was excellent.

Construction in front took away from the beauty of the front so I couldn't take any photos to show off to my friends. This is hardly anything to complain about and at checkout they gave us some lemon cookies and a small bottle of champagne as an apology.

Very good location - outside of the center in a quiet relaxing environment. There is a restaurant at the hotel, also nice restaurant nearby called U Labutě. But even better option is to order online with a local app called Wolt. Room was comfortable though on the photos it looks bigger than in reality. Shower cabin is also quite small. But bed was very comfortable, cannot complain about that. Coffee at breakfast was very-very tasty. And overall breakfast offered a lot of choice of tasty food. You could seat outside under the glass. If you are with a car and need to go to the center of Prague there is a convenient Park&Ride system - you can leave your car at the parking and go to the metro. For example, we went to metro station Chodov and parked for just 20 czk (<1 eur). But you need to pay with cash and ATMs take a high commission for withdrawing money in local currency.

Breakfast and beds were the best

There was bad smell like something rotten in the first room we were given. Afterwards they moved us to a beautiful big room overlooking the gardens which was much better. However walking doen the passage i could still smell the lingering rotten smell

The hotel, the staff, really good restaurant and breakfast. Restaurant kitchen was open till 22.00, what is quite rare

The location was bit far from the centre. The hotel area and golf park was beautiful, but it was like an island in not so nice surrounding. On the other hand, there is a sports track, where it is very convenient to walk (also dogs, as we were travelling with pets)

Cozy and nicely furnished room resembling 1st half of 20s. Very good breakfast, lunch with room service. Beatiful window views - including from the winter garden where lunch/breakfast is served. Great wellness opportunities.

There were problems with our first room, however we shared our concerns with the staff and they promptly offered us a new room. Thank you for this attitude!
