Hotel Roma Prague

This hotel is really well presented, the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Our room was clean and had lovely views of the park across the road, the 3 big windows added some really welcoming natural light. The location is ideal, you can make a really good circuit walking down to the Charles Bridge across and along to the next bridge and back over to the Hotel. There is a restaurant to the left (out the front door) of the hotel that does VERY good food.

The furniture in the room was quite dated, although it was pretty it had seen better days. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable, this really needs to be changed. This was the only let down of our whole stay but would NOT stop us staying here again!!

Wonderful breakfast. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had a bath which was lovely after walking round Prague all day.

You can hear the other rooms and when the room above you flushes the toilet or use the shower.

Great room. Very large. Complimentary toiletries. Very extensive range of foods at breakfast. Great location.

Staff (most) not very engaging; on reception & in the restaurant. Would benefit from customer care training. We weren't made aware of a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport. When we did become aware (morning of departure) we were told that it has to be booked 24hours in advance. The hotel ordered a taxi for us. Expensive. Worst of all we weren't told that we'd need to pay cash; cards not accepted. This only came to light when we went to pay after being dropped off. We had to go with the driver into the airport & withdraw money from an ATM. Very poor exchange rate. This was a birthday trip & did mar the experience somewhat. Nice hotel overall but not what I'd class as 4 star.

Most of the staff were very polite. Comfortable and clean room. Great location.

Rude breakfast supervisor. We arrived a minute early to the breakfast room and the breakfast supervisor was very rude to us as if we had arrived half an hour earlier. He walked us out making a point of saying that the door was shut which was a mistake on our part but how he communicated it was not necessary. He walked out us out and then we arrived at the door we welcomed the guests that were waiting very politely and then told us to walk back in. Very unnecessary behaviour.

Staff on reception was super helpful and polite. We had changes in the dates of stay, and they did it fast by request. Have used laundry service - it was nicely done and fast too. Housekeeping also did nice job! Breakfast is simple, but manageable. A lot of bakery. Location was very convenient, close to restaurants, tram station and grocery shops.

The only minus for this property its absence of soundproof. Probably because the building is old by itself. You literally hear everything what is going on in neighboring rooms and bathrooms up & down from you.

Great staff and very clean hotel, location was perfect for us and easy walk into town. Ice cream shop in the same building and plenty of places to eat close by.

Just a little niggle, It gets a little noisy at night as the tiled floors carry the sound and the doors need to be closed with a little force to lock, did not impact us too much but I can imagine if you need quiet it could be a probem

Staff was great, rooms was pretty large and comfy, breakfast was mostly decent - I loved that they had a salad. Shark tank in the entrance was pretty unique and interesting. Overall cleaning was good and smelled nice.

At breakfast the coffee options are from machines, and to my taste (and my friends') they were pretty bad. I'd rather have fresh brewed coffee. The meat options weren't so great. There was bacon once, but it was sunk in oil/fat I didn't even try it. One thing I was very puzzled for is the height of the toilet seat in our rooms - it was much higher than needed and very uncomfortable, and the toilet in the lobby smelled pretty bad (especially the ones through the breakfast area). I was hoping to be able to connect my computer / streamer to the TV (which has HDMI port) but it seems they locked the option to change the input. Pretty disappointing.

Excellent breakfast buffet with a large range of foods. For health reasons, I need to be on a low fat/cholesterin diet, so I could only enjoy much of that visually (can't have croissants, eggs, cheeses etc). There was some very nice pastry on offer, too; the Czech Republic is very good on those sorts of things.

The coffee from the coffee machine had an indistinct flavor (I would recommend stronger coffee, fairtrade etc). As in other hotels, the shampoo/body shampoo comes in small plastic bottles (which is wasteful), but the soap came wrapped in paper. Air conditioning was available, but probably not based on renewable energy (didn't check that, just a presumption) and possibly worsened carbon dioxide balance. So I didn't use it.

The hotel is in an excellent location .Tram stop opposite hotel .The bedrooms are spacious ,comfortable and well appointed .The breakfasts were good .The reception staff were friendly and helpful special mention to Petr and the two Italian bar staff .

Sadly I could hear the noises coming from the room above during the night.

A superb hotel in an ideal location. very friendly staffs d superb breakfast with English breakfast tea bags which as a discerning g tea drinker are good 👍. I will definitely stay here again. it has underground parking for a fee - well worth it ina city where parking is of a premium. The hotel is very close to Charles Bridge and the John Lennon Wall. A short walk to the ‘must visit’ and’ must ‘book’ The Savoy Cafe. Easy access to the funicular taking you up to a marvellous view point over Prague from the Petrin Tower… then walk around to St. Norbut’s Brewery and sample some fine brews. then walk to the famous castle - you have to buy tickets to go into the. maxing church and old streets with little shops. Walk down over Charles Bridge into the d town - a wonderful network of barrow pedestrianised, shop lined streets. visit The Klemintinium Centre - views from the top of the tower are amazing 🤩. observe the Astronomical click in old town square. A visit to the Jewish quarter is well worth while and so incredibly moving. explore this beautiful city.
