Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

We were absolutely delighted by this hotel - giant rooms, everything absolutely spotlessly cleaned (the poor people that have to take care of all the chandeliers! Not a fleck of dust anywhere!) and the housekeeping restored everything to a perfect state in no time at all. The receptionists were so kind, charming and welcoming and fulfilled every wish with a sincere smile. Sadly we couldn't try out the breakfast (the beds were so comfortable we always overslept) but everything else was simply wonderful. The location was also really great, 5 minutes to the inner city by foot and a lot of nice little cafes and restaurants basically 20 steps away - the room was perfectly quiet nevertheless. I couldn't think of a single thing I'd change.

Basically nothing, but using this space to adress the people commenting that the services are a bit expensive - well, it's a luxurious hotel with perfect service and staff and I can only say that every single cent spent is worth it and you get a lot in return.

It was full of character, beautifully decorated in the baroque style with gilded furniture and sumptuous furnishings. Our daughter’s room even had a little juliet balcony overlooking a small courtyard. The dining room was splendid with a feature wallpaper and gorgeous chandelier. The food was absolutely delicious with a huge variety of fresh produce beautifully presented for both dinner and breakfast accompanied by delicious Czech wine. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. The Spa was in the cellars creating a wonderful atmosphere especially for the pool and an amazing boardwalk over a tiny river containing Koi carp…. absolutely magical! We would highly recommend the hotel and hope to return!

this hotel is magical! I have traveled a lot and have always lived in 5* hotels and above. This is the most beautiful and atmospheric. I feel like I live in my own castle. There are not many tenants, the staff does not work noticeably, they do not interfere. But if you need something - you will receive top-level service! Excellent breakfast. In the evening they will straighten your bed and put a small gift (handmade chocolate) An individual approach to each guest .... Everything is very beautiful! You can take a great photo))) The staff is just super! I feel a lot of love and care from the staff)))) This hotel is the best in my memory. Thank you very much! I want to come back here!

Great atmosphere, for the price of an American business hotel. It contains many quirky items throughout the hotel. It has an atmosphere calling back to an earlier era of Prague. Staff are extremely helpful, and sometimes it feels as if transported back to an older more civilized era. Extra comfort in the rooms, with showers with water pressure that does not exist anywhere in the US. Excellent location, just below the palace, easy to walk to anything in the city. The whole family appreciated it.

Expensive breakfast. All fresh food and tasty and well presented, but Prague has so many inexpensive eateries. Even for such high quality food it just felt pricy.

If you arrive before 2pm and your room is available, your bags are out in your room but you can't access it until 2pm unless you pay €20/hr in advance of 2pm.....bizarre! First time I've encountered that in any part of the world

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It is beautiful, the facilities such as the pool are excellent, breakfast superb, staff incredibly friendly and helpful, beds super comfortable and location amazing.

The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, whether it was about touristic questions or for booking restaurants.

The side street which was just outside our bedroom window happened to be where the garbage was collected very early every morning. I spoke to the manager about it and he was going to look into it.

Staff could have been a greater assistance locating a spot for dinner.

We really enjoyed the complimentary happy hour daily from 4-4:30 with wine and cheese. The hotel was in quiet location but close enough to walk to the Prague Castle and other main attractions! We felt safe and cozy in this beautiful hotel. We would absolutely return again on a future trip to Prague!

staff were exceptional, and very helpful with coordinating events and activities interior decor of hotel and rooms were elegant dinner and breakfast at the hotel was excellent

air conditioner not working, dehumidifier used instead, which worked but was still warm though we had shower, however was a shower head inside a bath. No real issues, just not what was expected.
