Hotel William

The first day I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by the receptionist Mr. Pavel, he was very patient with my inquiries about the route to the destinations in downtown Prague, also pinpointed me about the necessity shops nearby the hotel. He's very polite and cordial to me and we had quite a bond with each other by having cultural conversations. He's the type of staff you wanted to mingle with and makes you feel welcome during your stay in the hotel. The hotel room itself is adequate enough in terms of size for a solo traveller like me, it looks nostalgic as the decoration dated back to the Communist era, but equally beautiful and the bed is comfortable for my 3-night stay. The housekeeping staff were always attentive to their duties, asking me whether I needed new towels or changing the dustbin daily. The breakfast at the lobby is exceptional, I have never seen so many types of pastries in any hotel that I ever stay for a breakfast buffet, you can choose many types of coffee as well. Water, instant coffee, juice are unlimited for guests, hot dishes are steaming hot and fresh, side dishes are plentiful and everything is delicious, the gentleman (whom I forgot to ask his name) was very responsible for his job to make sure the guests have a great dining experience. The location of the hotel is accessible to many spots, by walking or taking public transport within 20 minutes you can visit pretty much every famous attraction. Restaurants, souvenirs' shops, churches, currency stores, groceries are everywhere at your door step from the hotel. The hotel is also very close to the international airport, within 40 minutes I arrived at the airport without any obstacle. I would recommend every one to stay in the hotel for a comfortable trip in Prague, and I'll definitely choose Hotel William as my future accommodations if I have a chance to visit Prague again. Location was really good, you could reach the old Town in 15 min walking. I chose this hotel because of the breakfast and it was delicious!! Amazing, I would come here 100%. Staff was nice and helpful. I would like to say thank you so much Carlo from the breakfast, you are such a nice person! I loved talking to you in the mornings and very helpful as the receptionist.

The only thing I didn't like was that the cleaning ladies and receptionist was having breakfast in the same room. Like when I checked in, the receptionist was eating, I think of course they can have breakfast but maybe in the back office?

The location is amazing, just amazing. The tram station is in front of the hotel and you can go anywhere. In the nights it was a quite pleasure to walk around the city and to be able to get back to hotel with ease. The breakfast is not perfect but nothing is. At least there are many different kinds of tasty food and you can choose. The hotel staff is amazingly helpful. Even though I asked the same question a few times they always replied with smile and kindness. Wi-fi in hotel is good and decent. It worth the money spent. By the way wonderful decoration.

The breakfast could have just a few types of more salty baked goods. (But maybe it's my taste) The room service could be a little bit careful about the details. I've only requested housekeeping once but, I put up the sign in the morning, then I came back after a 1.5 hour walk, it was not still done, so I thought maybe they are busy with many other rooms and then they came while I was in shower, they left new towels but did not replace the bed sheets and linens.

Front desk staff were helpful and willing to assist on adhoc request. For instance, a kettle for me to get boiling hot water for my instant noodle. That is the service I shall value more. The room was equipped with small fan, quite a boon to at least dispel the heat caught in the room during summer. Clean bathroom, sparkling ceramic wall and flooring. The location is the gist highlight, very convenient to move around from the hotel on foot or by tram with the stop just a stone's throw away. Overall, worthy stay.

Excellent breakfast, very large selection of foods and beverages, basically everything and anything one could ever need. The location is fantastic, tram stops right in front of the hotel but even without that you can walk to the historic city center across the bridge. Good price to quality ratio. Pleasant old-school ambience. Room and bathroom were nice and comfortable all around.

The floorboards are a bit squeaky. Elevator is small and narrow, the average person will fit without issue but even just 3-4 people with basic luggage will struggle. No special parking lots available from what I can tell.

The location is fantastic, it's few meters away of Petrin hill and half a km of Charles bridge. The room was clean and even тhe bed linen did not smell like washing powder. The included breakfast was simple but good. Price for the parking was decent for the city center (don't pay for parking on the parking lot, better to ask all the details on the reception, it will be cheaper).

There isn't a stepless entrance. It was not a problem for me but if you are with a baby stroller (or similar) take it into consideration. There are steps from the street to the reception and from the reception to the elevator (yes, there is an elevator but there are steps before it).

On arriving at the Hotel I realised I was missing my passport which had been lost/stolen at Prague central station. This was obviously a serious and concerning issue. The receptionist Roman was incredible supporting me with contact with police and authorities, even with taking pictures for my emergency passport - I can't praise Roman highly enough The hotel was an old building with a lot of character ,large rooms and lovely breakfast room which had coffee and drinks free all day .The breakfast itself was excellent and something for everybody from full english breakfast. continental breakfasts to croissants and doughnuts and full range of fresh fruit an coffee ,orange. apple and cherry juice on tap

Nice hotel at the good location. Clean and comfortable. Good choice for the breakfast at all times. Stable and fast WiFi. The tram stop directly at the hotel. It was possible to fill in all information needed for the check-in in advance, so then the check-in itself was very fast. The lift stops between floors, so it is always necessary to take few stairs - it was no issue for me, but it might be an interesting info for others.

Floors were creaking in the room. It could be heard when the person in the adjacent room was walking. Unsecured WiFi.

This is a gem of a hotel in a great location on the Malá Strana side of Prague. Close to sites, restaurants, right on a tram line, but outside of the bustle of Old Town. We liked it enough to stay twice on this trip - once when we arrived in Prague and this time when we were preparing to head back to the USA. It's a traditional European hotel, so don't expect a lift or air conditioning, but it's a very nice place with an exceptional breakfast buffet. We had the same room both stays, and each time it was impeccably clean. The staff was very nice and helpful in accommodating room request and arranging a taxi for when we left. We would stay there again.

There is some street noise, especially early in the morning, but that really can't be avoided considering the hotel's central urban location, which is part of its attraction.

The hotel and the room were both very clean. The little interaction that I had with the staff was good. They were polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also good with a wide range of fruit, vegetables, cereal, yogurts and bread.

It was very noisy in the room from the street. There is a tram stop directly outside of the hotel. Which is convenient, but extremely loud. And the street is a cobbled street, which is also extremely loud when vehicles pass over it.
